Well, apparently Playstation confirms that the game is compatible with PS VR.

Not sure if they are supposed to say this already, as SMS previously wanted to handle this differently than they handled the Wii U issue they've stated was similar.

Take the PSVR news for pCARS 2 with a grain of salt... We know PC VR (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) should be supported, but again, who knows about the PSVR...

Is this picture on a new track? Looks like the Red Bull Ring to me...
Edit: Already been debunked in the Track List thread.

The sound isn't great on downshifts. The real C7R has more clunk sounds when shifting. There's also a lot of high frequency resonance which the real car doesn't have. Nevertheless, still cool to see.

I wouldn't base my sound impressions on a YouTube video..... between the possibly low quality external microphone and the known levels of compression used by YouTube the audio in video is never truly reflective of the actual audio.

Agreed, but imo, from what's been output, I think this game (like PCars1) is one of the best sounding racing games. I don't play the first very often, but when I do, I'll end up with around 3-4 hours continuously just driving different cars for laps & laps enjoying the sound & immersion the game provides.

Agreed. Just wanted to point out that YouTube videos.like this one are not a true representation of any game audio (good or bad). Even official, high quality trailers can be negatively impacted by compression algorithms.

Had that yesterday actually, chose rain for practice and dry for the race (skipped quali), and when the race started the track was still wet.
That's absolutely amazing (both that you can choose seperate weather for training, quali and race and that the conditions have influences on how the track is later)! How long did it take for the track to dry out after the start of the race?

Will we be able to have a soaking wet track without it actually raining?, sun on a wet road looks great...

Yes. This is something I pushed hard for. It's not as simple as you might imagine. Historically we've always tended to balance the additional overhead of rain, which brings additional particle overhead and for us, detailed reflections, by fogging things out in the distance allowing us to cull detail earlier and/or drop detail via more aggressive lodding. With a fully wet track and sun though (assuming the clouds have rolled away) we don't have those tricks available so it's a long hard slog on optimisation.
