Hey thanks a mil bro.
I thought that "All tracks" heading on the left side there was just to show what tracks already had setups or defaults for like "Loose" and "Stable" defaults. Does it work like in Pcars1 whereby there is a step in saving for all tracks you can check or uncheck individual tracks you don't which to include?
Nope, this is it. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure it's an actual filter and that setups are automatically shared across all tracks and it just loads the latest one you used, regardless of track. The UI is not really clear here. Will do some more testing later today.

Ok thanks. If you could test and report back that would be cool.
Sometimes in Pcars2 I've wanted to save a tune/setup for All tracks (or some) as in Pcars1 but didn't see a way to do it. I somehow feel it's not available to do at the moment in Pcars2 but as said if you could test it would be well cool. Cheers bro.

I know 100% certain that a setup I saved on one track showed up on another. Just not 100% sure that's because I saved it using method above (and that it won't be shared if I select the specific track).

This game needs a lot of patches really!

A total misery to play! Since I bought the game I did nothing but adjusting things, and I'm not even getting half of the feeling I had in PC1!

Not to mention the smoke when you turn:lol:

I bought this last week, just waiting the one x to release, i am not looking forward to playing this.....it sounds like the setting up process (wheel and cars) is too much hassle and not enjoyable for most. Sounds like it takes way too long to find a good setup etc,I have read very little in the way of positive feedback from fellow gt planet users. Seriously considering Forza 7, it may be less in depth and realistic but at least it's fun ! I really hope sms can sort out the many issues soon and quicken/simplify the setup process because it has massive potential. I just want to race within minutes of turning it on, not spend forever setting up a car and i am sure many would agree with me !

Im not having many issues (on PC) in terms of setup or FFB settings. After reading a few threads on here, just adjusted Informative FFB flavor a bit to my liking and it's all good (took 5-10 mins). Cars with the Loose default setup feel good out of the box, at least most that I've tried. Yes, there are issues, but I am always looking forward to enjoying more racing in pCARS 2. It puts a smile on my face.

I installed and immediately started playing, and didn't have to touch anything or change any wheel settings other than mapping a couple buttons, which I'd have to do for any game.

Car setups are also fine, I haven't found anything that has felt weird or un-drivable

Don't listen to all these people complaining. The game is a ton of fun. Yes there are some bugs but they're being worked on. The people in this community need to just chill out.

I did forget to put that bit in, it seems that the issues are mainly on consoles, most pc users seem to be getting on ok with the game.

There's some design decisions that annoy me but so far I've encountered very few bugs on the PC side. But to be fair I've mainly just been doing hot lapping and online races thus far so I might not run into too many bugs doing those things. I've heard we have at least a couple of the career mode bugs so I haven't bothered starting a career yet, just having fun learning the cars and tracks and how online works, and I just got VR yesterday so even just hot lapping has become a very exciting activity. A couple of the combos I hot lapped in VR yesterday were probably some of my greatest sim moments ever (and I've sim racing in some fashion for over a decade).

Sounds like there's more issues on consoles, but I also think some people get a thrill from complaining and are overblowing some (not all) of the issues, so it's hard to get a good idea of what shape the game is actually in. But from what I've seen most of the issues should be fairly easy to address through patches so hopefully it won't take long for the game to be in good shape. IMO, even with any bugs, it's worth the money just to be able to hot lap the Nords at dusk and watch as the sky turns from blue, to pink, to red, to black...it's stunning.

I will admit i was a little downbeat for the first week or two playing this game after enjoying the first one so much, mainly due to the slow UI and setup issues, and also because it all felt so different to pCARS1 (physics and UI), plus I was jumping from car to car like a kid in a candy shop and not spending time enjoying each car for long enough before moving on to another; but then patch 2.0 hit us and I'm much more happy playing. Not ventured online yet so don't face any issues there, but it all seems to be working for me at the mo, and I'm having a ton of fun. Won't be going back to pCARS1 again for sure. Just trying to find the perfect AI level and messing with mutli-class stuff. Lots to enjoy for a long time to come.

Don't understand what's so difficult. If you create a new setup and want to use it select 'save to a new slot'. If you want to use an existing set up, load setup then select 'save over existing setup'.

Yeah, haven’t had any issues doing it this way.

Really wish I'd checked the forums before picking Formula C for my second season in career. Looks like I'll be putting it on hold yet again as the tyre heating issue appears to still be a big problem.

Having a great time with most of the cars in time trials and custom races and haven't had many issues with setups since the patch. The system is a little clunky and not ideal but easy enough to work around for now.

Stable set-up plus wet tyres even in dry and you can play It. Senseless but you can win easily. I tested It.

I thought "save over existing" is known to be bugged and doesn't work at the moment?

You would think it would be this simple wouldn't you? Try saving over existing setup, then going out of setup, then back in and check your changes. If you add some fuel, then go to track, no extra fuel is added when you save over existing.

If your setup saves over existing, then you are in the minority.

Don't use 'save over existing' to make changes, choose create new

This ^^^^
Also after selecting 'Create New' you can then select your old set up and it will overwrite & save (at least on PC it does)

Exactly. Point is this. The game will start with last set up used. If you want to use an existing setup you load the setup then use 'save over existing' to lock it into your current session. It's very manageable.

With further patches I'd like sms to continue to tune the a.i., iron out any online server issues people may be having, then maybe finally add the online custom championships (possibly with the option to fill grid completely with a.i.? :D )

That is not how it works for me. The game starts using the 1st setup you saved (or for me it does). I know you can save new setups, my beef is with the save to existing not doing what it says on the tin and not being fixed in the 1st patch. Not sure what you are saying about loading a setup, then saving over existing to 'lock' it in, just loading it does that.

It is a complete PITA and needs to be fixed, screw the AI, I only race online. Priority fixes for me are online glitching when people leave and join a lobby, being able to invite people after joining the track and these setup saving issues.

So you're issue is you can't save you're new set ups the way you want, even though it is doable. Sure, not a simplified way but still; it works.

And no imo, not 'screw a.i.', some people including myself are strictly offline players and want that area of the game improved as much as possible. I don't play online, yet instead of saying screw online players I wish for online to be fixed so people like YOU can enjoy that area of the game as much as possible.

My issue is something very simple is not working as intended. I am highlighting the issues that affect/bug me, plus I didn't say I couldn't save them, it was a pain in the arse to have to save a new setup each time, deleting others in the process to try and keep on top of it. For me, saving new setup, then selecting an existing setup is flakey at best. Its cannot be relied on for me on the PS4, which means I am creating multiple setups, all requiring different names, then having to delete older ones. That is the issue, I appreciate there is a work around, but it frustrates me little things like this not working.

Maybe 'screw AI' was a little harsh, but you mentioned something in a quote that wasn't relevant to me, I should have probably ignored it. I really have no interest in playing against the computer though. It would be nice if they could fix some of the many crappy bugs relating to both AI and online and the simple things that have been missed.

I want the game to work well as much as you I am sure, for different reasons.

Are people getting jagged edges, lines and pixelation on xbox aswell? All the graphics complaints on the pc forum and on here seem to be ps4 only, nobody is mentioning any Xbox issues? Unles not many own an xbox.... i have higher hopes for a marked improvement graphics wise when the one x is released.
