Well update is out and whatever its for it brought back like 70% of the magic that was lost with patch 2.0 so SOMETHING gas changed!
Dont think its placebo!
Now its good enough to enjoy again! :)

Update is live for PS4?
I'm not seeing anything.

"We have over 150 improvements coming in Patch 3 so far."

Sounds like the patch is still at least a couple of weeks away.
The sentence you quoted gives no evidence for a timescale on the patch release. Could drop tomorrow, equally it could be weeks away.

Cannot drop tomorrow as its not even been giving to Sony for certification. The so far part suggests they are still working on it...

Don't know whether we have a certain thread for it but I wonder if SMS will integrate a full support for the wheel T300 Ferrari anytime. Obviously this is the case on x-box one. Why is it missing on PS4?

Could drop tomorrow, equally it could be weeks away. Once again my point still stands.
Not putting all your eggs in the one basket then  I knew it wasnt dropping today.

Hopefully SMS are soon at the point of sending to Sony and MS. Desperate for these better graphics for the Pro thats supposedly coming. Xbox X and lack of LOD pops makes such a difference...

What do you mean? You have the Ferrari edition? Or the 599 rim?

So not fixing bugs, but just improving features. Maybe thats PC3? :P
Why above, because PC2 had only 5 major bugs and 20 minor ones, which were all taken care on previous update, so no bugs left to fix, but they have decided to redo/improve all 150 features of game.

Sorry for my pessimism.

What do you mean, what exactly is missing?

I ask as I have the exact same base and rim and I'm not aware that I'm missing anything.

MAJOR BUG that needs addressed asap, The H-pattern shifting with no clutch input required auto or manual setting. This is a issue that seems to be ignored by the community. i would like to use a h-pattern gear box as the design was intended. Not like a sequential box and you just move the stick so lame.

Most sequential boxes I've seen used in race cars required using the clutch as well. Just having a sequential shouldn't remove the need for the clutch either.

If the clutch is set to manual, it should be required no matter which input you are using - H, Sequential, or buttons/paddles(unless the specific car you are driving doesn't require it). Not a tough one to work out. I'd personally consider going a step further and have an option for "always required" just for those that want that, but I can't ever get enough options.

I've heard of this one before and hope it gets fixed. After all this time I still don't have a shifter stick but I do love my clutch.

EDIT: I should clarify that by "sequential boxes I've seen used in race cars" I mean those which I have watched other people drive. Not suggesting myself to be an expert in the mechanics of things or what is actually 100% required in all cases.

Maybe you have auto clutch enabled ?

You can change the gears in the H-pattern without clutch input by just synchronizing the throttle at the time of gear change, that's right, you take your foot off the throttle and change the gear, up or down. The time to change gears, using clutch or synchronizing with the throttle is the same. Once I needed to change the gears of my real car (FIAT PALIO) without clutch and it was possible to synchronize with the accelerator.

i think hes getting at that you dont need clutch in any situation other than getting moving, which imo is definitely a problem

if you synchronize gear change with acceleration is possible but not easy, the opposite is a problem and does not work properly, I have already tested.

Exactly, it's possible in a real car but not easy. From the sounds of it, it's very easy in PC2 which probably isn't right.

I agree with you, the sound in pcars helps in shifting gears without clutch. I have tried to change the gears without taking the foot off the accelerator, it is possible however, it causes an acceleration of the engine where the driving point is lost a bit.
I use everything in AUTHENTIC mode, for me to shift gears on cars with the H system, using the clutch or throttle timing has the same complexity.
