Very hyped for the patch did my RCX championship the other day to get back into PC2 and im surprised how well it bounces off GT Sport, they are both great games to play.

OK i'll make it clear

I'm done with Project Cars 2 ;)
That part was clear. What's confusing is going on about how many hours you spent playing and how sad it is for you to say goodbye. You never explain. It was written as though you were being forced to leave.

I wonder if PS4 and PC patches are the same. A couple of Youtubers I follow saying that the patch has made penalty system even worse - apparently it now takes longer to pop up to tell you you've been naughty and gives you less time to serve the penalty.

Penalty system does need a rework. A countdown timer is needed so we know how long we have to slow down for.

I believe that's correct. I've not experienced them but I've heard that you're more likely to get a penalty and you have a lot less time to serve it. We've disabled them in our club because they cause more problems than they solve.

Deleted PCARS 2 off my PS4 and its gonna be hard for me to return :( I'll miss the GTR last time i drove it was over 3 weeks ago just right before i uninstall the game from my PS4.

In total i played PCARS 2 for 147 hours 90% of which was driving the GTR.

Close to 2 months now and yet no update :boggled: It was all i could take.

ofc its not made easy by the fact i'm on OG hardware.
You're not going to guilt anyone to expedite the approval of the patch, you think Sony is reading this :P

You'll be back anyways. That being said, I have a feeling we should see something in a couple of hours. Can't imagine we'd have to wait longer than a week after the patch for PC drops.

This is now my religious ritual. Everyday I get home from work, turn on my glorious Xbox One X, and check for the new update to PC2. When I see it hasn't graced my blessed console yet, I drop to my knees and thank C'Thullu for the divine punishment!

Sometimes I check multiple times a day to be reminded of the suffrage

I'm holding you to this I've now got my heart set on for the update to drop in a few hours if it doesn't I WILL find where you live and kill you ;)

I don't usually care about patches but for some reason this one interests me and perhaps that says something about the number of improvements I'm hoping for.

I have for the first time configured my PS4 for rest mode so it stays online. As soon as 3.0 ships I will switch it back again to full off.

I have a feeling the patch has been rejected its been with them for way to long. Usuallyvonly takes patches a few days max in certifacation. Thats been what close to 2 weeks?

I think tomorrow it’ll make a week since it was released on PC if memory serves.

It’s a big patch so maybe takes more than the usual week or so. Who knows what’s behind the scenes...

I can confirm they that the track limit penalties are a lot more harsh, especially at tracks like Imola and Laguna Seca, you really REALLY cannot cut or extend anywhere, you will get a slow down and it stays up for a long time, as soon as you get the slow down, you need to lift off the throttle until it disappears.

I bought pCars2 for ps4 yesterday after having played the demo over the weekend. After my initial disappointment over the lack of the option to prioritise framerate, and the worse sound compared to the retail version, it grew on me today after I managed to set the DS4 up to my liking, and plugged in a good set of AKGs. Still, the sound is nowhere near as grunty as pC1 or the demo, and the game drops quite a few frames in full fields on a ps4pro.
3.0 cannot come fast enough!

It's not at all unheard of for a patch to be in Sony's testing for weeks on end if it's not coming from one of the "preferred" developers. It's annoying but there's not much that anybody except perhaps Sony can do about it. I've never had reason to pay attention to how it works for the other guys, and it's a maybe worth an eyebrow-raise that it hasn't been released for either console, but it's probably the same. No reason to assume it's been rejected yet. They may just have a huge backlog of things to do and maybe there's more to check about some patches vs others depending on what it affects.

Hmm sounds like Assetto Corsa.
