I saw that, they are looking into it know. It looks like it is a problem with the road cars and some others. The old cars need a clutch, go take out the old Jag 44 with auto clutch disabled it goes some grinding and won't engage.
Try and match the revs and see if you can get the gear to engage. So if you are changing down a gear, put the car in neutral, then increase revs with the throttle and attempt to put the in gear, when you hit the correct revs for that gear it should engage. When changing up a gear, put it into neutral let the revs fall and when they fall to the correct level you should be able to change to a higher gear. That's the way it happens in a real car so might work in game.

Yes Hard tires feel like they have more grip, soft tires really run out of grip a lot quicker, so hards all the way!
That’s fantastic if that applies everywhere now! Now hopefully the lack of race pace will have been fixed as well with the preheating tires change!!!

Yes, you can sync a shift with the throttle, the problem is on some cars(road cars mostly) you don't need a clutch. The old cars they got right it seems

What were tyre temps in comparison for the laps on soft vs hard, and after how many laps are you finding the hards faster?

What was the track temp?

i dont recall track temp, but it was a sunny april day. Both sets were warm. I had multiple laps for either set and I was pretty consistent with about a .2 second difference. Curious if anyone else wants to try this combo. Ferrari gt3. red bull ring national. sunny in april. It could just be me getting back into it as ive not played since about late october.

I really dont want to be that guy, but (on my copy at least) the save setup issue is now worse. Pre patch, instead of overwriting the current setup I would save as a new one, then just select the same setup and save it. That workaround always worked before 3.0

Now on 3.0, after I heard you cant use a pre-patch setup my first session was working fine. I could click on overwrite existing (or whatever it says specifically) and it would save.

Session 2, and now if i click on overwrite setup on the same setup I was using an hour ago, it doesnt save it. I can go back into the setup screen and the car resets to the previous setup. What is really worrying, I cant use my workaround that I used pre patch where I would do a new save.

I really hope its me.

Can you write to the setup save location (tuningsetups)? Create a folder or file to test. I'm assuming that the game/Steam permissions are inherited from the logged in user.

Also, right-click on the "tuningsetups" folder and choose "Properties-Security". Is your username listed and does it have full control?

Few observations (Only tested out things that bothered me pre-patch):

Did an 11 Lap Race. Rolling Start. Started Last. 100% AI 100% Agg. Conditions Dry.

I can confirm save over existing now works. Still requires a few clicks but at least it works now.

AI kept bumping me, somehow he ended up behind me but just wouldn't pass till I came to an almost dead stop.

Race got underway and it was basically a conga line from start to finish. Even on a long back stretch, 1st to last were all strung out nose to tail. AI never overtook each other, when i manage to pass 1 or 2 they would drop back significantly and not attempt to regain their position. So far, racing against the AI, pre and post patch hasn't been all that fun for me. :(
...
I gave that combo a try (Suko / Ginetta Jr), strange, I didn't get the same behavior. I also started last (13 AI) but 100% strength is too much for me without knowing this car (and my lack of talent) - haven't driven before. I was able to overtake a few early on in the race but they quickly pounced on me and passed a short time later. The field seemed to string out for me, and because of this I couldn't tell if the AI was battling or not - I could only see a few towards the back of the pack. With that said, I was at 100% strength/40% aggression.
I also tried the same track but with the 1972 Ford Escort RS1600 Racing as I've had good luck with that car. The pack racing with this car seemed to be a little more bunched up, and I had better success. Either I know this car better or the AI for this car performs a little differently than the Ginetta Jr. There was some good passing back and forth between me and the AI. Anyway, the AI still doesn't seem bad to me - not much different than my other sims except for maybe rF2 which has always been very good.
BTW, not a fan of the Ginetta Jr. - drives somewhat like a FWD car to me - but that's just me I guess :)

Has anyone had issues with RS Dash displaying 30 seconds or more behind time? Not to do with the patch, but I rebuilt my PS4 last week to upgrade the disk and since I have done that my RS Dash app is 30 seconds behind what is happening on track eg. dash seems to not display information when leaving pits, but will fire into life 30 seconds later. Upon returning to pits, the dash keeps showing speed and tempos etc changing for some time after.

I checked the session time remaining and it seems to be 30-40 seconds delay.

I am tearing my hair out, as I use it a lot. Hopefully someone here has resolved this.

I have tried UDP 1-9. The app connects, but like I say, is delayed.

UPDATE (For anyone experiencing this) After rebuilding the tablet, restoring the apps, it now works fine. Tablet must have been up the spout and in need of a rebuild.

Not joking, nor putting up for it.
I've disconnected a handle of times since release. (PS4)
Never had half a lobby of friends disappear.

I've been disconnected from PC2 servers more than all my other sims combined. I honestly can't recall a time where I diso'd from an AC server but it happens in PC2 almost every time I'm on (once a week). The really nice thing is that it always happens right when it goes to drop us on the grid for the race which means I'm then locked out from the race.

Was there an update to RS Dash? if you had one yesterday or today it could have been to fix it for patch 3. If you are on a console you could be ahead of the patch, if this makes sense. I have no idea if this is it or not, but I do know Patch 1.03v for PC broke the app.
