That's exactly my opposite situation, i'm about to start my "real" Project Cars 2 experience.
I will buy soon an Xbox One X just to play this game properly.
I can't wait to get my x1x and experience this game in all its awesomess.
So my "real" pc2 experience has yet to begin :D

I need to see the difference between the One X and my PS4 firsthand.
Not on YouTube, actually play it for a few minutes.
My mission this weekend, find someone or a shop that's willing to let a man demo the XoneX.

I can understand that. I wasn’t too bothered about the differences between it the standard version until I actually saw it running on the One X and a 4K TV. As others have said the differences are night and day!
 
C'mon @IanBell , throw us poor plebs a bone. SMS have told us the patch is with the first parties, have they been in contact since or is it radio silence from them? If the patch has been rejected let us know, it's the lack of info that's the killer rather than the lack of patchy goodness.

I have played it on PC with a 1080ti. Yes it looks better but not £450 better - and that is pre patch 3.0 which if going by the demo looks a lot better for Pro owners than v1.2.

Either way I hope you enjoy your purchase. XOX is a great bit of kit.

It's not just matter of how it looks, it's about the performance aswell. A lot of people who already have it say that it's well worth the money for many reasons, the frame rate is much better, the game fluidity is much improved, the tyre overheat issue isn't there and many other reasons... That's why i'll buy a X1X, not just for for the graphical improvements.

How does buying a new console keep your tires from overheating?

I have no source but I would think we'll get a patch before the bonus pack hits consoles.
I also thought the patch would drop yesterday and never thought Arden would bring forward RMsport to Blancpain.

It seems like we have the tyre overheat issue on standard XB1 because the console can't keep up with the physics calculation due to his lack of power. People who have X1X say that the overheat bug isn't there at all on the upgraded console even with full car grids.

Oh you were referring to some bug. I thought you meant the physics were different somehow. My bad.
 
Hi everyone,

I have played extensively PC2 on standard PS4 at the release (and posted here a lot), until I dropped it for reasons that I understand still apply today. Just by reading you guys quickly; the tire pressure/temperature is still not fixed, and one possibility of the reason SMS is not able yet to fix it is PS4 power limits?

I want so bad this game to be cool and bugs free. Is it going to happen? Or should we all get a XoneX right now?

Not sure what you mean. I'm not having any tire pressure or temperature issues on my standard PS4. The only thing I'm noticing is tire wear being too slow, which is reportedly fixed in the upcoming patch 3.
 
Anyone confirm an update?

Maybe it's a troll on the official forum but someone with 1 post saying that it's out totalling 4.6gb. Skeptical.

EDIT - I think it's confirmed to be a troll! Stand down lads.

I'm on ps4 at the moment and there's nothing as of yet

Ok I shall give it another try then! My typical setup to testdrive is Formula C at Brno. Also Ferrari P4 that used to be undrivable in the first releases.

I will be surprised if they ever get the game running well and with better graphics on the base consoles, i think the game is just too much for the consoles to handle.

I have played it on a mates stock PS4. The game runs just fine. It's not perfect but it is still a great great game on all platforms.
 
I can confirm the patch will ship tonight.

How do I know? Well the cooling fan in my T300 has just packed up so I won't be able to play PC2 tonight thereby guaranteeing you guys will all get the patch this evening. You're welcome.

I have ordered a replacement fan but it won't be here for a couple of days. I have ordered a 60mm and a 70mm fan so hoping I can squeeze the larger one in - I might need to take a dremel to it..... (the fan, not the T300!)

Sorry to hear that but if it means the update will drop then so be it. Be strong. Just think we will get to play you can sleep happy tonight knowing that
