I have a pro and the game still looked ugly before patch. So don't worry too much about that. I still have to see the game after this patch.

you also don't have to worry since the 3.0 update won't make too much diffrence in terms of graphics compared to 2.0 :(

here's something from the official forums - ps4 pro+update 3.0

The patch has increased my enjoyment even further for this game. My one gripe is the sodding penalty system in career is absolutely absurd.

I wish I'd get a warning from the engineer if I get a drive thru penalty. It's always the penultimate lap when he says pit before the finish. When i near pitlane for 10 minutes, a warning comes up to watch speed in pitlane. I've gathered that it's for me to take a penalty, but what for?

Granted, on the 2nd lap of the 15 minute race, I over took an AI car for 6th place and hit the 4th place car. I let it recover and didn't pass, but the engineer tells me I may have aero damage and to come in if it's unmanageable. I was losing top speed down the front straight at Algarve, My engine temps were fine though. I fought from 5th to 2nd for the remainder of the race. Then, pitted for a drive thru penalty and finished 32nd.

As a player that doesn't use an HUD and cockpit cam, I'd just like a black flag or engineer warning earlier in the race.

Edit: One more thing, TCR is still the best series in the game. Close racing, perfect AI and good fun.

These penalties are a bit ridiculous. I understand why they're there but the current and next lap invalidated is so annoying.

Had a quick blast in career for the first time in anger. The ginetta feels much better and I can actually drive cars on loose setup now. The weird oversteer that plagued every car is now gone.

There are several nice improvements and additions with v3.01 but Tracking Speed in Photo Mode isn't one of them. Unless I'm not using it properly, which is possible, it is now near impossible to get a picture with the car fully in focus. The effect brings very poor looking distortion.

Has anybody noticed any improvements to car sounds?

@TexasTyme214 Have you never seen the near constant smoke while driving? Tonight I have had it with the Ford GT LM GTE, Audi R8 LMS, Toyota TS020 GT-one '99 and TS040-HYBRID. The rear-view mirror is seeing smoke trails like a stunt plane.

Yeah I had the same issues and struggling to get a photo now and given up with using it. I put it in the bug thread. On the new tracking Photo mode it doesn't focus the car which ever settings you try? If you go into photo mode direct from game play it does as a temporary get around. Also no filters for me in this photo mode.

I am on ps4 pro and although better than before I do still have jaggies where the light shines on the cars even on improved visual or improved performance settings unless I need to do anything else to get these to work ?

Is there an option for anti-stall?

I want manual clutch but the ability to have an anti stall would be great as getting away quickly after a spin I always end up stalling! :P

Played for about 3 hours tonight. Thoughts.

On PS4 Pro it looks better. Main difference being LOD changes are far less noticeable to the point I stopped noticing them actually racing.

Sound is louder which means in contrast voice chat is a little quieter relatively. Still not right though.

Is the 488 slower? I think it is.

I had more crashes than previously though last night - certainly in the first 5 or so lobbies I tried to join. Eventually settled down and had no errors then for about 3 hours til I went to bed.
Did I miss something that the physics on the OG PS4 are different than the PS4 pro? I know the Xbox had troubles with too many cars on the track but the PS4 doesn't.
Physics are not different on Pro. Fundamentals of the game are identical. Pro gives eyecandy and nothing else. Framerate may help the game feel different at times but it has nothing to do with the physics of the game engine.

Had it crash about a dozen times tonight, with the Error CE-34878-0. looking on the PCars forum, I'm not the only one either. Couldn't do a single online race, and crashed 3 times in career mode too. Yay (Not). Might start up DIRT4 and see if the Codemasters patch still allows me to play....

Sounds like its related to people joining the lobby who are still on patch 2.0

Getting a glitch which I encountered on the demo also.

When the aids are set to authentic sometimes it doesn’t load them and all aids will be off on cars. Usually rectified by going through the aids again and saving the settings. Magically come on then!

AI still rear ending you at the start line is mighty annoying...

And audio is still not where it should be!

Now I know why the Ginetta was sliding around suddenly on 1 track during career mode.

Are you serious ?! I play on a PS4 pro, there is some major improvement on physics, FFB and sounds (and graphics in detailed mode)

I also play on the Pro. Some things changed to the good, but all in all it's far too little in my opinion that I will spend time with it in future. Was enough to see that all Group C cars are going first round doing their pit stop in Le Mans in a race of 20 laps (still). This is simply ridiculous. Game is too ambitious...too many things that could be not handled seriously. I also dont believe this can be fixed in the near future. Unfortunately.

Nothing yet for the lowly North American region? It's Friday 4:20pm now my time.

....Tick tock tick tock.....
At the time of your post, it was 2:30pm CST/3:30pm EST. You must be on the eastern tip of Canada! Well, you should receive the patch first!

I'm in Trinidad, West Indies aka Caribbean actually.

EDIT: Just checked again after getting home this evening. 5:07pm now my time.
......Nothing yet. *Stomps foot*

Wet road graphics on XBONE look amazing. Brands HAtch GP: Today's date, 9am, Light cloud/Light rain/medium cloud/light cloud. Different parts of track get wet as the weather front moves. The dry line is more defined now. I'm also noticing more mist/light fog, at the 8/9 o'clock hours.

I've not tried PC2 with update 1.03 yet but I have it installed.

Should I delete my controller set up and use the default controller set up?

I'm on PS4.

3 more CE crashes since my last post. A 3.0.2 patch coming very soon maybe.

Edit. 4 crashes
Edit. 5
Edit. 7
Edit. 9
