I think COTA will appear

I watched a couple of previews on youtube. Every video speaks highly of good controller feel so that is good news. I can really enjoy this kind of experience from my Sofa from time to time.

Really curious what the reviews are going to do but I might buy it.

It's all the sim you need

^^That Eurogamer article
(on pad handling) they tend towards the lairy, but any insolence is quickly seen to by putting your boot down and applying a turn or two of opposite lock.

and
I took a road-going Supra, a Group 44 Jaguar and a Group C Nissan R89C on a back-to-back track test, and they all felt eerily alike, be that on pad or on a wheel - get into trouble with any of them and it's remedied with the same dose of heavy right foot and a dash of opposite lock

Really? I mean could be assists I guess, but that sounds pretty poor.

I think that I'm sold. Frankly, I'm tired of FM7 dullness and there will be no FM this year (which will require a new console purchase to booth), and PC3 will complement my PC2 experience, which I'm enjoying so far (in which I only use the Engineer assist and some rudimentary manipulation of tyre selection/pressure, to be honest.)

Yep, I'm out.

Like Forza, remember that time when F1 raced against LMP1 at LeMans in real life? NO? But how about in theory!!!!
so awesome.

No, it isn't. At all.

I don't want hypotheticals, I want classes that make sense.

I could live without pit-stops, tyre wear etc...

But this mixed up classes are unbearable in my opinion. Total dissaopintment. My hype went on the floor.

This game looks.... ...incredibly stupid but also something I might have fun messing around with. I guess they weren't kidding about the "Shift 3" part.

Throwing the different classes together in races without regard just makes the grid look like a complete mess. Authenticity in the classes just got thrown out of the window.

Some classes tohether could work out. Like GTE and GT3 in one class. It didn't hurt eyes in PC1 and GT Sport... But damn. GT4 class together with GT3, GTE, Nascar, V8 Stockcars and Touring cars (with classics) looks like mess. This is tragic. I hope it is only because of press release and it will be fixed. (but i doubt it since they made icons for GT C, GT B, GT A and GT Open...)

If I wasn't having so much fun with ACC this would be a day 1 purchase for me, like the last 2 games have been. But I think I'll hold fire for PS5 and then get it, allowing bugs to be addressed (lol) and also wasn't too happy with how it looked on PS4.

But having said all that I might just crumble before that

I will still probably get it (although highly discounted) this is my nature to try everything new in this genre even if i don't like it on paper. But those changes they made disqulified this game for day one purchase. It makes me want even more ACC PS5 patch.

I bought both pc 1 and 2 when they first came out and I was so in love with the concept and the potential the series that I promised myself I will buy their game everytime to support them. Pc had something that I didn't find in gt or forza. That realism where you have multiclass racing, proper car class, the career mode where you go from go kart to the top.... PC3 is none of this. pc3 is like that nerd kid who underestimate his capabilities and tries to copy the cool kids but can't and end up being a weirdo.

Yeah nah, watching these gameplay videos has convinced me that there is no sim left in the game.
This is an amusing comment to make two posts beneath the dude wringing out that Supra and explicitly demonstrating a range of handling states with nuances that only a simulator can provide. (With some great audio, too, on a sidenote.)

That's not to say I don't know what you meant -- which isn't the same as your choice of words.
