I don't understand how the economy in this game works, like you only get money when you level up? So is there a level cap? Because if that's the case then the amount of credits you can get is a finite amount.

You can get credits outside the career as well.
The amounts are not as high though...

So the 'patch' was already applied to the digital release? As my file size is 39.9GB on xbox.

You should have the 1.03 version of the game which is the latest yes.

Chances are though that another patch with fixes could be released at the official release of the game (my guess so not confirmed)

OK, thanks. I was hoping for some miracle 30GB patch.

As on the Xbox S, I feel like I paid for half a game, as the performance on some tracks, even in time trial is pretty bad.
So I'm limited to racing on certain tracks in custom race. Thankfully the performance on some of my favourite tracks is better than PC2 at least.

But it's like going back to the disappointment of arcade conversions on early home computers or consoles. I won't be making the same mistake of buying the cheaper Xbox console next time out, as they claim it's just graphics, but it will effect the performance of new games eventually.

Time trial?
Is that in the game?
Just asking for someone because i don't have access to the game atm so i can't check...

Ok..Have slightly warmed up to the game a little bit.

Doing a few hot laps.. I still plan to do what I did with the previous game and try and drive every Car on every track.. So for some this will be their 3rd time.

... Wich is a charm... ;)

Went through the Tutorial on Steam since I can play it there too.

Looks like my rig (1080ti, i7 8700K, 32GB) can run everything up to Ultra, at 1440p/60.

I might have a bit of overhead, any point in using 1440p/84?
I'll see the benefit when I'm on my desk monitor, but on my racing rig I'm using a TV which outputs 60.

I don't mind staying at 60 to conserve PC bandwidth since there may be occasions where I'm running capture software alongside.

Sorry, I meant “Hot Lap” (one-lap ) and “Pace Setter” (three-lap timed average) events are part of the career.

Are these time trial events getting harder in the later stages of the career? Or can I change the difficulty of such event? I watched thekie25 stream and the one he completed looked very easy.

Is the Fusion stock car in the game? I watched a video showing off all the cars but didn't see it however I've heard from others that it's in the game

Random idea if somebody has the time to try it out.

When playing with a controller, do any of the wheel options change the way it feels?

You can access the wheel calibration even when using a pad, so might be worth trying out :sly:

I've only tried a couple myself. The poor frame rate / performance has put me of the career mode, for the time being at least.

I've played plenty of custom races though and the AI can be better there, only experienced one race where I went past most of the field before a corner, like what you see during the early career races. And I've been pretty much sticking to the same difficulty & aggression setting the whole time.
(I have the aggression higher than the actual difficulty.)

So, in Rival mode: If you own the car that is needed, can you upgrade it and take part in the event? I tried the one in Mugello and some ghost just went away on the straight...

Is there info what exactly is in that ignition pack? Think this is the first time ever I have a pack installed and I have no clue whatsoever what’s supposed to be in it.

Yes I read that somewhere as well. But which are those liveries? For which cars? Which rims? It would be nice if all that stuff in game had a DLC tag or so. Or maybe there is one and I just missed it...

Just tried this. The answer is: yes they do. I changed the throttle/breaking/steering deadzones to 100 and 0 and they work as expected. Didn't try the other settings but assume it's the same there.

(Steam/Xbox 360 controller)

Bad thing: the reset to defaults button doesn't work, so now my settings are ****ed.

Nice. That means there’s an option to tweak if your pad has stick drift.

Complain about lack of sim features all you want, LiveTrack and rain/standing water simulation is still top notch in this game. 👍

Note: resetting the controls on the controls tab resets the values on the Wheel/FFB tab too. Just take care that that also resets any custom buttons you set.

I thought they got rid of live track?

I am very happy I followed my gut and preordered this game. So far I have played through almost all of the first Road of the career with the Lancer and switched over to the Subaru.

Once I put higher grade tires (performance/track) and upgraded handling/brakes just one level, the vehicles controlled like a charm and beautiful hitting perfect corner after corner. I really like the feel of the cockpit view of all the vehicles I have tried. On my PS4 Pro on prioritise "resolution or framerate" the game looks and feels good to me on both settings.

Having fun with the customization (liveries, rims, tire brands, etc.)

I can also see myself doing the online solo challenges regularly. Also a sucker for in-race objectives. I do not have any issues with the menus, in race multiplier, and popups when I complete an objective. PC3 is going to get many months of enjoyment and I hope that future patches/DLC really take this game to the next level.

My point of view is from someone who enjoys the following games, all on a controller:
Grid Autosport (Switch)
GT Sport (PS4)
Dirt 4 (PS4)
Wreckfest (PS4)
F1 2019 (PS4) / F1 2016 (intelligent phone)
Assetto Corsa (PS4) / AC Competizione (PS4)

Take care GT Planet.

It doesn't say anywhere. The liveries will be for any csr though asnits a set of liveries you can choose from for your custom liverybin the editor.

Nope. Jimmy Broadbent said on stream he didn't think it was there but it is absolutely there. The dry to wet transition on the races is all present and correct with puddles forming and drying lines when going the other way.

Don't believe everything you see on YouTube ;)

Just did the D-class event at Silverstone. Started out with rain and dried up in the following laps. First lap heavy rain and puddles everywhere, second lap rain stops and by the third there's a very obvious dry line on the track. Just beautiful. :)
