Generally speaking, people who love cars and racing, hate environmentalists.
And it sounds awful.
Sounds awful? What sounds?:odd::lol:
So? People should stop acting that because of electric cars/racing series the "real" fossil fuel racing series are going to go away.
I have no fear of that, E-racing will never take off in a big way because I don't believe fans will support it. Every game will throw in the inevitable car or two and that's fine, I would just prefer they didn't waste a bunch of modeling time on cars that won't be very popular in the game just to be politically correct.

Yeah, but how do you know that these cars are not going to be popular? Maybe the players will enjoy them? Not to mention that I think they do it to offer even more variety rather than being politically correct.

Makes my ears bleed

Besides, racing sims are electric anyway, it's not like we're making a difference, if we race F E instead of V8 GT3 cars in Pcars or other sims.

Well, isn't this game representing various motorsports anyway?

Just my opinion, but I think sound is a huge part of the package when it comes to watching racing, especially at the track, but on the telly also. Take away the sound and it's just cars racing around the track, IMO, just not exciting enough to draw enough fan interest. There'll be lots of money behind it at first of course, all the sponsors want to be seen to be associated with what is "politically correct", but in the end if the fans aren't drawn to it, it won't succeed. Playing to a captive audience as a supporting race anything will be successful, but I can't seen them ever carrying the show.

I don't think we can use the limited support base for the early inaugural season of a brand new series as an excuse to judge its worth. No one is asking anyone to drive the FE or like it. Other members would. With its variety this game was never going to please everyone with everything it's got -- for all I care, the oval circuits/cars are a "waste of modelling time" -- so to add one car that happens to make a funny noise when it zips around shouldn't be the end of the world.

Environmentalism? Political correctness? It's a videogame. The only agendas here are licensing deals with manufacturers and advertisers. Some players just enjoy driving something different.

Yeah, I do understand your point of view for the real world, but you still haven't really stated a reason for why it shouldn't be in the game? I personally enjoy electric cars in GT6 for example, again I'm not saying that you need to, but my point is that Formula E will be a great addition to the game and I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun in-game

To all the people asking about Chevy and Nissan...there could be a REASON the devs haven't talked about them...also once this game is released and everyone realizes how great this game is the floodgates shall open.

so far the only games in getting for PS4 are the crew and gt7 and destiny, till they add chevys in drive club and project cars I'm not buying.

GT7 won't be actually playable until 2020. :lol: I understand being put off by the lack of your favorite brand...but I think that GM will be drooling once they see this game do well (if their cars aren't in it...). Plus this is like the greatest racing sim to ever come out for consoles...GT can never get up to what SMS has done with PCARS. The Crew doesn't even come close to PCARS, it's just another NFS game really.
