Reynard 96i, isn't that the original champcar chassis?
Yes it is. It's listed as an unconfirmed car but I've never seen any evidence of it personally, and it's obviously yet to be started if it really is planned. Here's hoping this is a real possibility though
Yeah I hope so, it would have to be my most favorite chassis of all time,
NoWill the "Not yet ingame" cars be included in the game on release day?
PD and these guys ought to join forces and take down EA and Turn10. This is a really nice looking game and i am looking forward to it.
Yeah and look how great MW3 was.I think it would be fantastic for SCE to buy SMS, having PD and SMS work together. It'd be like how COD: MW3 had Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward work together under Activision.
But too bad that would probably never happen, but then again, a merger between the two companies could be a bad thing.
We will see I guessSo they will be added in a future update after release?
Hi guys. New here. I'll add a series that I reckon could be heaps fun. They are called Aussie Racing Cars and are basically half the size of a normal car with various shells to suit anyones taste and a superbike engine in it. Produces really close and fun racing. Here is a vid of them going around Bathurst.
I don't know how popular it would be, but I would love to see something like this in Project Cars. It would be a great niche for Project Cars to be the game known for showcasing little know but fun racing series like this
Yes.Is the list in the OP up-to-date of what will be included on release?
If anything, Project CARS proves you don't need the overhead of those beancounters. If Project CARS hits a home run, you can expect others to follow the same model. 👍The whole idea of SMS and the WMD was to stay away from the big publishers and restrictive first party companies, and create the perfect game. They felt they couldn't do that with paymasters.
If I'm honest this is one car I'd rather not see come to the game.I think one for the future has to be the Formula E Spark Renault SRT-01E, (plus all FE tracks in a big giant DLC that I'd be happy to pay for). Formula E are known to be wanting to develop a racing game that can be raced real time with their races, surely PCars is likely going to be the best, most realistic simulator that's also accessible on console and PC. To me it makes sense for both parties. I don't think Forza has an exclusive license either (unless I'm very much mistaken!)

If I'm also honest, and I always am, Formula E has zero appeal to me and I don't think it has much appeal to sim racers in general either. I can understand PCars going after the license and making a big deal about it for marketing purposes and all that, but I also think the license would be very expensive as well and I'd rather they spend money on something else.
That's alot of money if you need a hole new set of tracksif the license was affordable, and lets be honest Formula E are the party with this idea with whoever they worked with, that would theoretically drive the price down. It would also add some pretty neat, tight street tracks. (Punta Del Este and Buenos Aires were pretty good IMO, and then nobody would turn away Long Beach...*)
*Yeah I know, there was also Beijing. Not the greatest track the world has ever seen...
I've got behind this series from day 1 so I'm entirely biased though. It's the future...
It would be nice to have the Formula E car in the game, but I'd be mainly interested in the Formula E tracks, I really like street tracks.I think one for the future has to be the Formula E Spark Renault SRT-01E, (plus all FE tracks in a big giant DLC that I'd be happy to pay for).
