I like driving AC much better than pCARS with a gamepad, but with my Thrustmaster TX pCARS feels fantastic - with the couple cars I tried. The FFB in AC also feels a little canned. But they are both going to be great sims, both welcome in my library!

Regarding steering wheel support on the PS4, here's a snippet from Eurogamer today:

"We plan to support all of the wheels available Jamie. This work is going on right now actually. We may of course have more work as new wheels hit market." - Ian Bell

Ian doesn't seem to state in that quote which wheels are exactly compatible though. So that's still up in the air.

And then there was a ray of sunlight shining through the clouds 👍

Yes please! And hopefully this includes support for the most popular and also very competent wheel, which is still on the market, the Logitech DFGT.

I really think that existing wheel support (including the DFGT) is what will make or break the game on PS4. If SMS manages to do that then I believe the game will be a huge economic success on PS4 and will also become the driving game/sim of choice on this console.

Reading up on how DriveClub has "gone back to the drawing board" in there efforts to beat GT 5s development time PCARS maybe the first racing game on the PS4

^ No he didn't list specific wheels, but I choose the positive "glass half full" view :)

I'd be surprised if that plan doesn't include G25, G27, T500, Fanatec with Logitech emulation, etc..

My view in life is not to expect anything. This way you can't be disappointed. Than when you get something good happens, it is a surprising bonus. ;)

Does this mean I am negative or positive? Neither I think, as how I approach it seems quite realistic. I just wait and not take not too much notice of the glass until someone fills it up or takes it away. If the glass is taken away it is a shame, but to be expected. If someone fills the glass, it's a nice extra drink. ;)

Nah, dude. NFS Rivals is out already and The Crew and *I hope* DC will probably all release before pCARS. Now, maybe it will be the first really good racing game on PS4 though... Unless DC can somehow fulfill its enormous potential despite all the problems. Damn, I was looking so forward to that game!

A propos PS4, great news! Project CARS will support Project Morpheus!

What are people's thoughts on this? Is motion sickness going to be an issue, and will not being able to see your controls matter?

Is this sarcasm? Because we saw trailer, gifs and a gamescom demo, but never the real game or can you tell me the game modes, tracks, cars and so on?

I'm looking forward to it, because i want to see SMS solution to motion sickness and how the experience will be with Morpheus.

I wonder if it's possible that Nintendo could allow some sort of wheel support, the Wii U does have a USB port after all.

Well a P M version of DriveClub gave the PlayStation president of Worldwide Studios motion sickness saying "It's kind of difficult and sickening." Sorry with the negatives but I don't understand the economics and tec of the Morpheus, consoles can not support VR to regular TV standard, it's not what Sony needs

No, why should this be sarcasm?! I ve seen the game in action live at the IFA Berlin, people already enjoyed it back then and imho it looked great from the start and improved more and more. Fair point that we didnt ever hear much of game modes but the rest of the game looked very promising to me. That Audi R8 @ Chile video that circulated a while ago is pure gorgeousness to me. If you disagree, thats fine of course.

And about motion sickness: There are people getting sick of the Occulus too and both are months or more away from a consumer version. Imho no reason to get your panties in a twist as both devices will improve until then.

I think (IMHO at least) the main reason behind the motion sickness in the Occulus and the Morpheus is the headtracking having a slightly exaggerated headtracking movement, so that what you're seeing on the screens does not tally with the balance inside your head. I have to admit, I was surprised at how cheap these thigns are, but they are still too expensive for the layman yet.

Do you have the link?

Anyway, the G27 is ready! Bring it on SMS!

^ Here it is. Look in the comments section,

@ LogiForce: While I agree that caution is often the sensible view, I also would like to think that expressing happiness at such a prospect is part of the "cosmic ingredient" in making it happen. Yeah I know, that's hopelessly zen'ish...

Project Morpheus sounds pretty cool, sure would make looking through a corner much easier. However, as someone susceptible to motion sickness ( to be more exact car sickness, ironically) I'm not sure I could handle Project Morpheus.

I get motion sickness from playing FPSes for more than about twenty minutes. Enough to make me queasy at least. I doubt Project Morpheus or the Rift are going to do me any favours. :(

Same here, any FP makes me nauseous and so do a lot of other games with fast or active cameras. Tomb Raider the most recent to do so and so yeah, I know VR won't be for me.

I'm fairly disappointed how Project cars turn out to be. Becoming more arcadish after updating the game I play Project cars.

Tell the developers, there are plenty of places at the Project Cars forums for you to tell them where they are going wrong. Mentioning it here won't get you anywhere, your expertise could be what is missing from making it the sim you want it to be. If it turns out not a sim then it could be said that it is the fault of all the people that failed to share their thoughts in the correct place.

Some weird questions; as I'm seeing it in F1 2013 and i quite like it; are there birds flying over in the sky in PCARS? And also, will the crowds in the stands have effects like moving banners, colored smoke grenades and make some noise when you drive past? How are the trackside animation effects in general already?

Bit silly but small touches like these help to make a track environment more lively IMO.

Well I'm member at WMD site since 2011, all members plays Project cars (Work in Progress) and express the opinion on the thread (including me) so the developers can read and understand. Even Nick Hamilton express his thoughts about Project car. Don't get me wrong, Arcade racing games can be fun and I love Project Gotham racing 4 on XBOX360 due to arcade.

Slightly mad studio havn't done anything wrong, but they did say they would focus on simulation driving few years back which got me interested in the first place. They are toward to Arcade racing as I notice when I playing it. They are at the very late beta stage now and I doubt things would change.

My biggest problem is when you use the steering wheel with force feedback feels not so right yet on Project cars. Gran Turismo 5 has the excellent force feedback and feels of the grip of the weight too. that is just my opinion.

It definitely doesn't feel arcade to me, it may not feel as refined as iRacing & AC yet but that is to be expected as the FFB and tire models are changing all the time & both are constantly being discussed in the forums.

As for the force feedback in GT5 being better, this to me says that you have something set up wrong.

People keep using that word as if it explains everything they find wrong with the game. Protip, it doesn't. It says nothing, it's just a label.

They're also not at the late beta stage, they're just nearing Alpha stage.
