Yeah they'll get away with it in the short term, but I suspect if Pcars 2 has as many issues as Pcars the sales will be pretty poor. Remember by then they'll be up against GT and AC on PS4 (by far the highest selling platform for Pcars).
I honestly hope this has been a learning experience for them, and that Pcars 2 is everything Pcars should have been and more. In the somewhat unlikely event that happens I'll buy it, but not at full price. Not after supporting them with Pcars and having Ian cancel the content I bought the game for at the 11th hour.
Anyway, I'll continue to enjoy this game as much as I can. In the times when the bugs stay away I do really enjoy it still. I just have to not think about what the game could have been...

Love the game inspite of the game..same as me, play it loads but feel if they get away with it once they will do it again... but then they got away with it twice before with Shift so hell to it, oh and Ian was something to do with Race Pro on consoles? Not sure..another flawed masterpiece.

I don't really play it much anymore. I get myself in the mood to play, and then think "is it worth the effort of getting the rig out?". I think it's because of how stale the career mode gets after a few seasons, and then you really notice the lack of a custom championship mode. It really needs something like that to add longevity IMO.
As far as SMS' previous games go, the only one I liked was Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. It used the flawed Madness engine from Shift, including the ridiculous input lag (I measured it at 6 tenths of a second... seriously), but the content was just amazing. If they could get the physics of Pcars, somehow get rid of the bugs (or at least the major game breakers), and re-do all the Test Drive:FRL content in current gen graphics, it would be an epic sim, and I'd gladly pay full price and then some for that game.

I just wish they can still come out with Daytona and Indy. Like release it and just continue to improve the AI or something. I'm having so much fun driving the road version of the IndyCar. I can only imagine how fun it would be driving the oval version of the IndyCar at Indianapolis motor speedway online with a bunch clean racers.

If i'm reading the comments on instagram, i'm not sure if this GOTY dlc is gonna be the march dlc or if there's gonna be another dlc for march and this GOTY dlc is just a seperate dlc coming sometime in spring.

Hmm. Wel l anyway, I'm enjoying the current dlc! Tried Corvette on a track I haven't really touched much since launch, Caldwell park, and it was a bad idea. Not because gt3 (GTE for those who are picky) is too much for such a small track, but for the fact that my ps4 had some sort of demon possession and crashed.

Cadwell is one of my least-raced tracks. Not really a fan and it's not friendly to a lot of cars due to the narrowness and twisty nature. I've tried to like it but just can't.

Just tried my luck at nurburgring GP, corvette, and at 90% I can only manage around 20th in qualifying. Still great fun.

Hate to burst your bubble dude but they haven't even fixed half the issues the game had at day one.
Basically this is just "Project CARS: Hopefully we can sell some more of this game edition", because after the initial hype driven gigantic sales spike, the sales of the game have been poor, and most of the early adopters dumped the game ages ago due to the bugs.
This last hurrah DLC pack is a complete joke. Two versions of cars we already have, and a version of a track we already have. What a pack to end on
At this stage, the most exciting thing is waiting to see what new bugs we'll get with the next patch.
I don't think PCARS will ever be fixed tbh. Past experience with SMS titles told me that much. So this is probably as fixed as it's gonna get. It's still a better package than it was one year ago and if it's cheap I think it's worth it.
Of course I could just easily wait for PCARS2 at this point, which will probably have all the content and have rally racing. But something's telling me history is going to repeat itself...

The way the Pcars tyre model seems to fall apart when you try to drift tells me SMS trying to do a rally game won't work out too well. Hopefully it doesn't impact the rest of the game, but I'd be seriously surprised if they can pull off a decent rally game.
I agree Pcars probably won't get fixed too much more, but if you're going to buy this GOY edition, I'd suggest waiting a while first. They'll likely release it at full price, as is common with these kind of "complete" editions, but if you wait a month or so, there will be a bunch of copies that have been returned that will sell much cheaper. I wish I had've waited to buy Pcars. I got it full price day one, and just one week later my local game store had a full shelf of returned copies, and they couldn't give them away, so they'd dropped the prices on them dramatically.

All tracks are wonderful when you give yourself over to the joy of the Ginetta Junior.
Perfect car for the job! Going to go do that at some point today, i too have neglected Cadwell mainly because Oulton park is so ruddy brilliant its my go to UK track.
off topic but for anyone who hasn't seen a bike on Cadwell....boom..

Just realized something. We may not have class selection in single player, but when we get the VLN/N24 layout of the ring, the GT "multi class" setting will look the part. Ginetta Juniors on the same track as GT3's.

I don't want to crash your party, but you will also get GT1 and GT1X cars like the McLaren F1 GTR or the Pagani Zonda R. So no true VLN/N24 grid.

Maybe the Pagani Nurburgring Expansion is this month's DLC and there will be 2 more DLC packs before the GOTY is released.
