Is there anything on Ginetta? It was announced that they would be in the game. Also there is a serious lack of Japanese Cars in the game (Nissan, Toyota and Honda).

The Ginetta G55 GT3 is being made as we speak, with the G40 junior in the pipeline soon. A lot of people have been bemoaning the lack of Japanese manufacturers, but the intention is to bring in a certain company (can't say who, licensing being thrashed out), but you won't be disappointed when the announcement comes.

Sweet I used to drive the G20/G40 Junior before my money dried up, it will be interesting to compare it

Wow looking at that Gt6 vs PCars comparison video, when I was watching GT for a while then switching to PCars, PCars seemed like real life. Imagine PCars sounds and gfx with GT's content, PCars will hopefully keep PD on their toes.

Continuing the experiments with the tire heating model..

here's the temperature graph for the starting point..

You can view your tire temperatures on a graph?

Numbers nerds rejoice, I know I will!

This game is becoming more and more amazing everyday!

You should see some of the APK developments people are doing; second screens using tablets and phones with complete working dashboards on them.

Sure, you can plot graphs of almost everything physics related that runs under the hood (api needs to be hooked for that first of course). I can post a photo of the possible variables currently exposed next time.

Or you can use one of these:

Yep, that's been done as well. Full data loggers have been made as well.
Symporjects added pCars to the list of games that are compatible with the symproject software. I should be able to use my dashboard with pCars when it's released.

I've been anticipating getting the Wii U version of this game, and keeping an eye on this thread. Suddenly it occurs to me the things they could do with the screen on the GamePad... :)

They have already thought of those too. They two ideas they have is; one, being able to stream the game out to the gamepad (I know some games don't support that); and the second thing they have been thinking about is replicating the car's steering wheel and switches on the screen to use as controls.

Is there a helmet design editor or selection ?

I m not 100% sure if it is already in, but IIRC its a planned feature. What is already ingame are templates to customize the driver suit.

There are templates for the helmets as well. Someone has recreated Ayrton and Bruno Senna's helmet, Alonso's helmet, and someone from MotoGP as well.

Graphics, sound and physics comparison between Gran Turismo 6, Project CARS and Assetto Corsa. This comparison has been done in Silverstone circuit with McLaren MP4-12C in the three games.

I'll have Assetto, please. I have no idea why every single car has to have that annoying transmission whine in pCars.

Because every car does that just like every gear driven steering wheel (e.g. Logitech DFGT, G25, G27). Depending on the car its either louder or softer. I can even hear it in the Lancia Delta that I own during normal driving, heck I even hear it when I am just depressing the clutch at speed and coast along.

Wanna hear what horrible transmission whine is like in real life? Enjoy!

^ No.. 12C does not have a gear whine that loud. Nor does other 'normal' road cars. It comes from straight cut gears.

From roadcar the sound on reverse is the gearwhine from your car. As it is a straight cut gear (normally).

Edit: Ofcourse I'm not saying that a tranny is completely silent, but it gets hidden under other sounds on road cars.
