I don't think the music fits to be honest. Also I think the initial build up is too long in the music, leaving you with too much time of kinda just moving images. If you know what I mean.

I dunno. All in all I think the music is too much 'suspense-style' while expecting action in a game like this, a racing sim.

Anyway, just my opinion and tastes differ from person to person.

This. Not only do I also feel this way about the video, its why I'm not a fan of orchestra scores in Racing sim trailers. They feel so out of place and unneccesary. I'm not necessarily suggesting "DUBSTEP ALL THE WAY!!!", but there's a way to build excitment without that.

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't expect everyone to prefer this music over the old song, but at least it is not copyright. Credit to Stephen the Audio Director who put together the music track in a short time, to an already finished video.

Hi guys here is the final edit, without copyright music. Music was redone by SMS so there are no issues, free to distribute.

I think the opening movie from GT1 had a fantastic level of build up to a high energy climax. The build up with this video is way too long and fails to reach a blitz of a climax. I suppose if you're tired and ready for bed or wired up on your 4th cup of coffee, the video will have a different impact. It climbs and stalls and then climbs a little bit.

Excellent work though!!! Do not be discouraged.

I actually kinda liked it, except that it gets quiet again a tad bit too soon and fades out a bit too soon as well. Whats a severy disadvantage over the original version is of course that there are no "cant stop!" vocals, but that would have been a bit much to ask from Stephen for the short timespan he had. And its not like he aint got nothing else to do in the meantime...

Once again: Superb job, halcyon!

Hello everyone, here a new comparative video:

Project CARS vs F1 2012 - Comparative Circuit @ Monza [Ultra Graphics Settings DX11 / Full HD]

I get the message 'The program can't start because XINPUT1_3.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem'
I tried reinstalling from the pCars installer but it didn't help. I don't have to download the whole thing from the website again do I? Because that took 10 and a half hours

Edit: Sorry stupid question, looked it up on WMD

Thank you so much 👍

Turns out I used the wrong color on the Carsport car, other then that not bad.

Got to play a couple of hours today, looks good. Started off at around 130 fps, and been tweaking up the graphics settings slowly. Got no idea what half of them mean though haha. Does the AA effect the frame rate? Sorry have no idea, first game I've ever played on pc

Sure does, obviously the higher the setting the bigger hit to the frame rate you will take.
From memory I think Shadows and Reflections are the two settings that produce the biggest hit to frame rates.

Cheers Shaun.

Yeah thanks, I knew about the shadows and reflections so i turned those to low/off. Just wasnt sure what the AA settings meant. Graphics look pretty good to me at the moment, and sits around 80-100 FPS depending on the track.
Just took out the Caterham to the Ring, 5am and foggy, looked amazing

AA (anti-aliasing) gets rid of "jaggies" (aliasing) by rendering each texture multiple times (2x, 4x etc), some methods are more demanding than others. Increase AA until you are happy with image quality and refresh rate.

Turn off Vsync if you have it on and start cranking the settings until your fps is about the refresh rate of your monitor (60 Hz = 60 fps).

Looking good. They should look into implementing something like the shift anticipation GT5 had. Hearing the engine shift then the hand moving the lever a half second later is room for improvement.

A lot of the people on WMD are against this - " What about the high speed corner at blah blah blah track, The driver would reach for a gear when you dont shift " ...........because the shift animation being delayed all the time in the game is better :banghead:.

But I agree with you, when ever I play Forza it is the one thing that annoys after playing so much GT5. In the end ill probably play the finished version of the game with no wheel or character animation anyway.

Ok thanks. I guess I'll keep fiddling/learning.
Only got to play with a pad so far as my wheel isnt in yet, but pad feel is great so far. Feels like Forza's in a way, which has the best pad feel IMO

Hi guys, here a triple comparison video:

Project CARS vs F1 2012 vs Real Life @ Silverstone [Ultra Graphics Settings DX11 / Full HD]

Not sure if excellent drivers, or very steller lap time accuracy by game developers. Either way, I'm pleased.

Graphics and Physics go to Project Cars, sounds go to F1 2012. Pretty much what I expected before watching the video (basing physics on playing both games, not the vid!). Thanks and nice effort, great vid.

First big online multiplayer test with 10+ devs and community memebers went down yesterday and according to the chat log went quite well. Soon it will be opened to manager level as well... Oh giggedy giggedy giggedy! :D

Awesome. I'm really looking forward to some multiplayer footage now.

It looks great in terms of smoothness/lag etc but was the person driving driving awfully on purpose to test it out? I hope so because it was bloody awful! I assume it was anyway given that he's in a Zonda for a start.
