Can someone tell me what the 316 executable's MD5 is? When I updated from 311 to 316 just now the patcher errored when it was patching pCARS.exe so I have no idea if the exe got properly patched or not. tyvm :)

It is on youtube but it's unlisted and we're not supposed to publicly post any in-dev screenshots/videos unless they make them public and say we can. Sorry.

Ah, all right. I understand. Well, that explains why I didn't find anything.

For those of us who aren't members, is it available on YouTube or somewhere else?

Yeah, sorry about that. I was just posting it up for thse of us who are members, knoing that non-members wouldn't be able to see them. All I will say is that the animations are great. Put them in a full race scene, and it will look amazing.

hi

I leave with a new chapter of the series circuit of the world in the circuit Donigton Park, is entirely done with Project cars.

greetings

After watching videos of this I can say I am officially excited for this to come out 👍 but I can't help but feel that the time and weather effects may be too much for the PS3 to handle :guilty: but I hope I'm proved wrong.

I'm hoping a drop in frame rate down to 30fps and a 720p (instead of 1080) might be enough to get it to run on ps3, aswell as less cars - not that I want to compromise but stuff like that I'd be willing to just to keep the physics, graphics & weather etc

No problem, as mentioned. I guess it's time for me to sign up and invest some money, even though unfortunately none of my PCs/Laptops are powerful enough play the game.

:guilty:

It's definitely worth throwing €10 in the pot and getting access to the full development process. There are a few people on there now that can't even play the game but just enjoy visiting the forum and seeing constant updates.

Night lap at Nürburgring Nordschleife, some were saying it doesn't get very dark at night in pCARS;

It certainly didn't used to, you could drive a Formula car with no lights at any hour of the day and still see enough to drive the lap. That was several builds ago though so it looks like they've definitely improved it since then.

Same here. Now if they need some PS3 Beta testers...:sly:

Not trying to burst your bubble, but if they need ps3 testers Im sure theres a whole lot of members that have a ps3 to take care of that. Im sure at some point they will beta test the console versions, but probably only with paid members.

The second they allow full members to beta test on the PS3 I will sign up. I may still become a member even if that never happens to support the project.

It's good to see the headlights extend beyond 20 feet in front of the car. Hint hint PD.;)

And I think that went over your head. Pretty aware of what you said, but the joke was neither me nor G.T.Ace Had good enough computers to Run cars but both of us had PS3s.

On a serious note though:

The second they allow full members to beta test on the PS3 I will sign up.

I'll increase my membership to Full membership the moment that happens 👍

i wonder what would happen if PD implemented this idea of letting the people be the "developers" by allowing them to choose the content they want in future gt games.

getting back on topic. i really want to buy this game and test it but i dont have a good enough pc so i will decide to wait until its ps3 release sometime mid 2013

I don't think team members really choose the content with Project Cars. They may have some input as for what they want to see most but in the end the decisions are made by the developers and content is based on licenses, availability and what their vision for the game is.

To a degree yes but they most certainly do listen and even add things with the help of team members. It might not exactly be a hugely well known, desired race track but Ruapuna Park was added purely because a team member did the local legwork and put the team in contact with them. That simply wouldn't have happened without that guy.

If he had just said I want Ruapuna Park and left it at that where would his request gotten him? I know team members give input and some of it is implemented but that still doesn't make 'people the developers' as he put it. That's all I was saying. Could you imagine if any developer left all the content up to the fans and then the developers made it. That would be an even more jumbled directionless mess than GT5

Yes, I see what you mean now. I think they have the balance just right, they'll listen to what people want and take many ideas on board but they also know what they want themselves, they've a very clear 'map' for the overall game.

Fixed my install, had to do a clean update from the last full build I had (254), game runs mint on my 670 and it also finally works with Dxtory (using the Lagarith codec) :D

Gonna have to put some decent wheeltime in this weekend methinks!
