This game should have mods ? I believe Shift games on PC has got mods so may be modders can get tracks, cars from the PC sim as well ? So cars, tracks should not be problem if they the game is good.

Problem? What problem? I thought we d all agree that the track selection is a good bit on the awesome side, that not everybodys wishes can be instantly catered is a given, I guess. Thats what DLC is for.

Eh, community created mods are most often of a lower quality then the content created by the game's developers. So I rather see DLC and SMS being open to requests.

I think we also had this discussion many moons ago already over at WMD about DLC and the pros and cons of community created content.

Mods are great, not just content it can make little little changes like HUD, maker boards, advertising board, helmets, gloves, livery etc..

rFactor is nothing without mods. However for rfactor2 they said it will have lot of content developed by ISI it self :)

Hmm, any ideas on where to get this skin for the Formula A?

Also, I'm genuinely tempted to buy this game along with an Alienware X51.

The game is not released yet, so you can't buy it. You can only invest in it and help with the development currently.
Also skins like that are often made by the community of WMD and shared over at that forum. So have a look there after you have invested 10 euros into the game, cause the skin does float around there.

I see now. Still, how well would the game run on the X51?

If you made the livery you're gonna need to remove them before you save the file. If you didn't make the livery lets hope someone on the wmd forums can help

The people on wmd helped me fix my problem. the custom liveries are awesome!

Just upgraded to Build 306 today, and I have to say, I am very pleased with the way the multiplayer is starting. They've just added the ability to create a very limited room, and not join on, but what they have made is awesome! The ability to force use of manual, adjustment of tear wear and fuel consumption, warm up sessions, adjustable damage; it's all so awesome!

Cheers mate. Yes its pic time again. :D

I've been busy moving house and stuff, internet off etc, pretty much all done now.

Well those pics settle it, that Formula A looks almost exactly like the Renault R31.

Man, they really delivered on the options there, signs of a title with a true competitive spirit and attention to details we need as league organizers. Really need to get the new build here soon to check that out. The features you listed already are enough for serious competition, if they just add some way of being able to fully inspect every one's cars, it'd be golden.

The thing that's keeping me from buying pCARS is that the only thing I feel it would be for me is a bit of eye candy. Nothing more.
If they go the route of not making it moddable, that would kill it for me.
A nice implementation of driver swaps would be cool though (possible through a plug in?). That might win me over.
Will probably get the PS3 version when it's finally released. I DO look forward to that career mode. Seems like it could be pretty fun. If the physics are anything less than GT5s, it probably won't get any attention.

But it does look damn good, I'll give it that.

As of right now driver swapping will be in the game from release. Unless something changes where they decided to drop the feature they have said its on their list of options that will be in multiplayer & co-op.

Sorry, can't find it anywhere through Google, but is that planned to be a console feature?

That's a great idea, maybe this time it's pretty easy to get it. Not sure though if it's not already planned.. need to check the forums. If not, I'm sure you'll suggest it?

Yeah I was gonna dive into the multiplayer sub to see if it hasn't been brought up yet once I'm back from work later.

What do you mean by inspect each car?

I suspect he means view the specs, settings, and any other modifiable information for each car in a lobby. Part of running a series is enforcing whatever rules are in place, and for that you need access to all information about all driver's cars.
