Spot on, Hyland. There is no photo mode in pCARS that tarts things up - you pause the game, move the camera around, take screenshot. Thats the whole process.

That sounds good. However, does P Cars look like that when it's running on a PS4, or is it's pictures higher res than gameplay like in GT6?

What I really wanna see is some raw PS4 gameplay. :)

That makes two of us! Ian Bell stated there was PS4 gameplay in the "Ultimate Driver Journey" video, but obviously I couldn't spot it (that's a good thing!). With the release date drawing closer and closer I believe we'll both get our wish of seeing full PS4 gameplay.

Right now, I'm inclined to believe the developers when they say that the PS4 version will look as good as the screenshots... mainly because Kaz isn't a member of the development team.:sly:

Note that the PS4 screenshots were first released in a blog on...the official Playstation website. As said earlier, the console manufacturers have a lot of the say and sway in when screens and footage are released for their respective platforms.

Are those screenshots captured directly from raw unprocessed gameplay? Are they completely unedited? Really?
They look more like from a replay because certain effects are used. And replays could be 30fps (like recent FM and GT) but I don't know.

According to a dev, the pictures were simply done by pausing the game and manipulating the camera,
so it will loke like the screenshots.

Not a straight copy of a Porsche GT3, that's all I'll say. :)
Leeked screen shot!

For anyone who has access to the official forum, have the devs ever talked about GTE cars? It is a rather important class if you want to replicate what is arguably the biggest endurance franchise.

Anyone who has access to the game and a steering wheel, how strong is the force feedback? I would love some very strong FFB effects and strong steering. I love to fight with the car. And in Gran Turismo there is almost no Force Feedback. It is so weak (I have it on 10). I use the Fanatec GT2 wheel.

I´ve just watched this video and I love how Rene fights with the car and the steering wheel :)

If you love strong feedback, get a Bodnar wheel. The reason is that either you have a strong clipping wheel with no feedback at all, or you have a strong wheel with non-clipping forces and actual road feedback coming through. Strength in my opinion is a hardware limitation, not a software one.

Seriously, I doubt you'd get much more strength out of your Fanatec GT2 wheel than it has. And with the fact that you have to run it at 10 and it being weak sounds to me as if the FFB motor in your wheel has burned out. I'd contact Fanatec support to be honest.

Either that or get a T500. Which is bound to work well in GT7 on the PS4 I'd reckon as well as in pCARS. I am running a T500 + CSPv2 (via Basherboard's CPX) + CSS SQ currently (even though I own 2 CSWs), but no shifter on the PS3 for now. Still hoping Basher will someday make an adapter for the CSS SQ as well (very doubtful because of his stance on the matter).

Anyways, as far as strength level goes in general across the board of wheels. I think it's got a 'normal' level. SMS is pushing out as much strength as they can without causing clipping or too much loss of actual feedback. And like every other racing game developer they run into the hardware torque figure constraints.
So yeah, it is really a matter of... if you want more strength/torque, get a better wheel.

Thanks for your reply. I think my wheel is ok. It really is a problem with GT. When I play games like Supercar Challenge on PS3, the FFB is great. Very strong, just I like it. I had this problem with every GT game so far. With my old Logitech Driving force pro it was the same... And on PC, when I was playing GTR2 or rfactor, the wheel had pretty strong FFB because you had way more settings options with the Logitech program.

Maybe the problem is, my real life car has no servo steering and maybe that is the reason why GT feels so weak. When I drive a car with servo steering, it also feels so weird and weak :D

Sounds to me like with that real life workout you'd need a serious wheel as well. Though I am sure nothing for at the PC/Console can come close to the ol' fashion muscle building direct steering racks like you have in your car. ;)

@LogiForce Somewhat on topic, but not to clutter this thread with non Project Cars related stuff, would you mind going in to this thread and give your impressions of the T500RS vs the CSW? I plan on upgrading from a G25 as soon as my PC build is complete and would love some feedback (excuse the pun).

I assume either of those wheels will absolutely blow the G25 out of the water in terms of FFB strength?

Edit: Don't panic, I found your excellent review on the forums, thanks :)

I will have a look to see if I can add my two cents.
Besides, you could have just PM'ed me about the matter. That way you wouldn't have to fear the wrath of the off-topic warriors. lol

maybe not photomode, but still it requires some skills (good eye, know good times of day and suited weather, best angle, a lot of use of the very basic photomode multiple keys, some knowledge of SweetFx and graphic setup of the game and gpu settings, powerful computer, etc...) , to get a very good shot... not always a ball in the park for anybody.

Does anyone know when UK stores will begin to take pre-orders? Also, is it likely that a sort of "deluxe edition" will be sold, or will all copies be the same?
