**** I dont want to see any Video or Images anymore. Either they put this game on Steam for early access or stop and forbid talking about it until november
Lol with me it's the more I see the happier I am, thankfully without agony for the release date. Because I learned about this game a year ago, I'm ok with the wait :)

This is pretty much version 0.1 of the car still got the active aero to include as well
Yep. Nice to see it in the game for the first time. Hoping pcars can give the paddle shift cars snappy shift sounds rather than the current manual sound.

The car has just been put in the game. Just placeholder stuff has been attached and its up to each dev department to now update each placeholder item (physics, sound, etc) of this car. So of course everything will need to be improved. Even the backfire farts I am sure. :sly:

Backfire farts?
That's not the only paddle shifter in the game that does this, audi r8 gt3, bmw z4 gt3 and a few others

Yup yup... backfire farts! Just between you and me, but it smells like... :yuck: gas(oline) :sly:

To be honest I haven't been listening that closely to the sounds. Nor did I keep track of the latest advancements. So I can't really comment on it all. I just know that with this initial implementations of new cars its as I described above. It could be that some cars still need certain sounds to be replaced. Dunno. I will let someone else comments on that.

I can't really complain a lot; the game looks fantastic. This game is getting my money so bad.

Also do Pcars record all the engines? How does their sound department work?

Greg Hill has recorded most cars already through the years. He is also the sound engineer for games like iRacing.
If he hasn't got sounds from a car a recording session will be scheduled, like with the Pagani Huayra when it wasn't even released or was barely released to the car press.

Look at his website here: http://www.soundwaveconcepts.com.au

Is anyone using a Buttkicker Sim Kit or Buttkicker Gamer system with PCars and if so any feedback? I know the SimVibe system is top notch but I'm probably going to be on PS4 for the game and as far as I know SimVibe is PC only at this point and I like to start small with new equipment anyway.

@PIP_36 asked this question the other day after a video of a puncture was shown in the video thread. I'm also interested in how punctures play out... and since the question wasn't answered, I thought I'd post it here.

Looks amazing! Does anybody know what can trigger a puncture?
Too aggressive on the curbs? Driving over debris? Random?
Are tyre 'blowouts' also going to be included, or just a slow puncture?
I can imagine a tyre blowing out and watching the replay back to see the rubber being ripped from the rim and my virtual self trying to wrestle the car to a safe stop, leaving a trail of hot rubber on the track and the windscreen of the driver behind me!

There have been some nice looking grid girls modelled so far, including some S&M looking leather trousers(!). There's also a 26 page reference thread...

When going through that reference thread I always tend to forget I am at WMD and not some adult site. lol
Too much reference in there... far too much.

I was going to get PCars for PS4 but now that I have to upgrade my PC, I think I will get it for PC. Now I have a question. I am going to get a graphics card (in 3 months) for max 150€. So there is the R9 270x. It sounds like it is a nice card in the mid sector. But I´ve read on old threads from 2013 that AMD cards have problems with Project cars. Is this still the fact? Or has it changed? Anybody has this card and can say how Pcars performs on that one? Possible with Full HD and Ultra Graphics on single screen?

I will get an Quad Core 4x3 Ghz and 8 GB RAM and an SSD.

pCARS graphics are not fully optimised yet so it's hard to say for sure but I don't think that card would manage 1080p with everything on ultra at 60fps. Looking at benchmarks for other similarly graphics heavy games it'll probably closer to 30/40fps, or you could turn some things down to high and get the 60.

There are grid girls?

 Slightly Mad Studios. Well played.

Also, I am dissappointed that no one have taken any pictures of them and posted it in the PCARS photo thread...

Those pictures can be easily found in the internet, you just need to know where to look. Keep in mind that this was a very early work on the grid girls made many months ago. (Before someone comes hunting me down, these were posted in the Project CARS facebook page so it's not my fault if they were made public)
