I feel there is more to do with GT6 though.
But yeah, I don't think a day one patch is completely unavoidable. But we'll see.
Also do not forget that these guys were drilled by Electronic Arts to finish everything in the last month(s), including all their last minute requests. And they had to do twice. So they do have experience with getting their work done.

As everyone else with jobs that have absolute deadlines. Working bloody darn hard and long overtime hours, almost abandoning husband/wife and children in the process. Okay, that last bit might be a bit exaggerate but it is a fact that you'll have less family time if work calls.
If you want to know what they are doing exactly, I suggest you simply buy into the next game (that you fancy of course) that they will make WMD style. Most development stuff is SMS&WMD eyes only, else the tool packs would have useless perks after all.

Yesterday.
While there is still bits to do it is still coming together at extremely good pace with 3 or 4 updates a week. The ai is being worked on and the community is providing as much information as possible to help finish the game.
I felt the video needed to be done as there seemed to be a lot of misconceptions due how little coverage there is on the game when compared to massive aaa titles.
If we all go in with realistic expectations you will enjoy it more. I will also say the chances of a day 1 patch are high.

From my experience, when you have to hurry up something, have to finish it and have to do overtime, you stop doing it with passion and love. Instead you do it heartless because you want to get it done and forget it. Lets hope SMS will still keep their passion and faith.
I don´t wanted to write something about the video from Willfred_1 yesterday because it is not allowed to criticise Pcars here in this forum. But the AI still looks horrible. Lets see how they fix this up in 6 weeks.

Maybe you should stop playing the victim when you were the one who called people blind, fanboys, implied that they are lying to sell the game they invested in etc etc etc. You are very well allowed to criticize every aspect of the game, that is not at all the reason why you were b-slapped here.

So if the game is on the build 820 that matches the version of how the game is? For example, there will be certain content that is already complete but it isnt in a certain build?

That absolutely rubbish my video just said the ai rubbish in a lot of situations. You were calling people fanboys and like FLX1981 said you were spreading distrust. I wouldn't have posted that video if all I cared about was the game making money.
Yes I and the WMD guys want the game to succeed but we don't want an outcry because people have made assumptions and false expectations based of trailers and single lap videos on impressive sim rigs.

That depends on the team member level. There are some cars and tracks locked for Junior accounts (10€) during development. But there is no finished content that wont be in the release game, if that is what you mean. All the stuff that isnt in the build for Senior+ accounts is WIP as of now (ovals, vintage tracks and some cars that are currently in the works) and wont be finished in time for Nov. 21. Whether those will come as free or paid DLC, we will have to wait and see (my guess is: both, with individual cars for existing classes as free updates and themed expansion packs like Nascar, Indy car, vintage racing etc as paid DLC.

Have the head people at SMS made any headway with the distributor in getting the Limited Edition available to North America? It is THEIR game after all. We are a month away from release. The more I think about pCARS, there is a growing sense of urgency.

Yes it was on realistic however the collisions generally now don't flip cars or send parts flying

The issue of NA presence and distribution has been raised several times on WMD now. We're not being told exactly what's going on with that, but I think it's fair to assume that SMS are aware and that they want the game to be represented in NA (as we all do...). Edit to add that this is more than likely in the hands of the distributor (Bandai Namco).

Well, the standard answer on that is, the game is in development and everything will be fixed in the coming 6 weeks. They are working very hard on it. We get updates 3 to 4 times a week. They will iron this out. Lets see.
I wonder how people accept it nowadays that developers bring out alpha or beta games and people just say "oh thats ok". Just look at all that rubbish EA games that were quickly done just to catch the next gen console releases and make profit. And yet Fifa 15 is again the best sold game these days. Dice is just saying "our fans lost the trust to us" and the next game will be no better. EA has been chosen the worst companie in the US in the last 2 years and yet they sell the most games. I dont buy Fifa15 this year because I wont support them anymore.
ATTENTION ATTENTION!! Dont take this as a criticism on project cars. The stuff I wrote above is about EA and Fifa and Battlefield and the other rubbish half done games they brought us to the next gen consoles.
And yes, I will buy Project cars. Stop writing this standard ******** "then dont buy it".

Because it's still being worked on you have make them aware that it's likely to change otherwise your misinforming people. And now where do I say it will be fixed, i say it most likely to be improved in patches.
But I'm being honest I do not know what will be in the next updates but if anything ai is in it I will update the video to maintain its accuracy.
Modern games are never finished at release they evolve over time. Right now I have created a analysed snapshot of a game mechanic.

The physical LE is not available in NA at this time. That may change, but we have no specific info about it. In the mean time many enthusiasts are buying the LE from European stores

That post was not pointed specifically to you. I did not say that you said this. It is the standard answer here when you say "uh that is strange" or "this seems not so good". Ok they work on it, I accept it and hope for the best because I am very hyped for Pcars and want it to be the best experience we could get for money
And if it will need patches to get better and better thats ok. What I can´t accept is when they really bring the game out with such extreme AI problems. It is ok if there are bugs and smaller problems or if content and stuff is missing at the beginning. But the AI is one of the most important things in an game. I am almost only interested in single player/career and want get the best experience from the beginning. And if I have to wait a half year or a year until a solid AI is done, that would bug me. Or I simply need to force me to race online.
Again, these are not facts, just my thoughts. I dont have Pcars so I can judge the game only by the material I see in videos and read in posts. Your video is not the first one that shows strange AI. There were videos (build 8xx) where the AI cars were flying in the air like crazy and people told that its not an AI bug but bugs on the tracks.

I wouldn't hold my breath for ''everything'' being fixed, but the 'standard' answers are correct though. With that said, I do undestand why many are concerned regarding the state of the game - considering the release of the game is only one and a half month away.
If you're uncertain, just wait for reviews, impressions from the community or wait until whatever issues there are have been ironed out before jumping on the wagon. I'll be doing that and since they're participating in today's vile pre-order culture, I'm in no rush getting it either (yes, I'm still very stubborn about it for those wondering - thank you for asking
).Well, there is a difference between developers that are being backed by major publishers with tens of millions of dollars and crowdfunded alternatives or early access titles on a very limited budget and manpower. It's not acceptable in either case, but I'm far more understanding towards the latter for those reasons alone.
