To be honest, if it gets delayed, I´m ok with it. When we get a more finished and balanced game then. But I guess unfortunately they would miss a lot of sales on the consoles if they delay it.

^ Hehe - well, this place isn't a troll-farm

Luckily not. :)
I've seen a lot of smirky comments though, and I always imagine the face below. :P

Wait until the game hits the shelves and the reviews come out and then we'll see about that:scared: I have a feeling Jordan will have his hands full:lol:

Two handed wielding the ban hammer? Nah... although I like the sight of it but... nah...! :P Let's just keep it peaceful.

As for the sight I saw, look below.

As far as on topic goes.
I wonder when we can fly with the yellowbird around Nords. :embarrassed: Been so waiting for it.

Ladies and Gents let's be clear about something from now until the time of release, if an internal announcement is made on the official WMD forum with the disclaimer that whatever knowledge is to remain confidential until such a time when an official announcement is made it is to remain confidential until an announcement is made.

Do not freely post information that could negatively affect the project, doubly so if you're not a member or just happened across some news that sounds like it'd matter a great deal.

A delay would make sense and be for the best (assuming that the post on RD is ''semi-official''). November was way too optimistic in my opinion.

Don't worry guys, we have drive club, the game that is definately living up to expectations!

Expectations like it would unrealistic arcadey handling, stupidly difficult in places as in the stupid light problems and way too easy in others, populated by dumb-ass AI competitors?:yuck: Don't think I can put up with it for more than another month.:banghead:

At least it will make PCars seem even better.

Why?
I think we are allowed to post leaks, good and bad, about every other game.

I just read the posts on RD forum, im not convinced.

Plus the site link that posted this delay news is coincidentally no longer active, smells fishy to me. I wont believe its been delayed until it comes from SlightyMads mouth or there is an official announcement.

EDIT: however there are now a lot of links on google about this, ill just wait and see :boggled:

Announcement of the delay will go live soon, according to a screengrab from the forums. Q1 2015.

Good call, I'd say.

I never got that sense it was really coming in November looking at the info and latest build videos in the past few months. I think it will benefit greatly from the delay.

Driveclub devs will be thrilled with this, they'll remain the go to place for racing fans for the year.
Well, The Crew is coming out in December, if I'm not mistaken. At least they got one less game to worry about.

Don't forget the Crew! Looks better to me in terms of Multiplayer, customization and possibilites. And it has a very big map to drive on! Still waiting for the ps Plus version of DC

Very disappointing...

The 'competition and visibility' argument is plain BS to me though for two reasons:
1. If you target your initial release at the end of November, you know up front that you will get some pretty stiff competition. And you'll still sell more in the long run, than when moving it past the holidays.
2. If you look at all the games on display at Gamescom, there was big competition from other games as well. Still, they got more pre-orders during that period then any other game on the showfloor. So it proves that it's able to stand out from the crowd.

So I'm not sure why they didn't just go with the 'not-finished' story. It was pretty clear from all the recent youtube vids out there that in some areas the game needed a lot of improvements (AI for example), so I'd completely understand a delay to polish that all up.

But please SMS, don't cover up yourselves behind the Holiday release...

While people may be disappointed with a delay, I think more people would of been angry had they of forced the release of the game in its current state. While the game has improved a lot the last few months there are still a lot of issues. IMO it is a good move, SMS wouldn't survive another game broken release.

Agreed. It's disappointing that a month from release they suddenly find out they need 4 more months. This had to be brewing for a long time so there's no way this just popped up. Just tell us you need more time and it's not finished, not the crap about competition etc. I can't see, even with competition, a spring release being preferred to the Christmas holiday season. People will pick it up for their kids just because at Christmas, not so much in March.

By the way, how do you know about the pre-orders at Gamescom? Do you have a link?

A delay would actually work in my favor - I have other games to play this fall and I am not ready to go buy a new computer just yet. I do feel for those that were counting on a November release.

I thought there was a different article as well circulating on the forum here with numbers rather than increase % but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks. Slight correction though. They didn't get "more pre-orders", the had the highest % increase in pre-orders. Depending on what number they started with before the show, this could be a huge number in absolute terms, or relatively tiny.

Indeed. I might have remembered that list incorrectly.
But still, topping that list (even if it's only percentages) means they were able to get the necessary visibility from their target public in the midst of other big titles on the show floor.

Yeah forgot about that, but always felt CARS was The big racing game of the year. It's a good thing they're taking their time though but they're pushing themselves into a year already filled with big hitters.

Well if this until March delay is official, they just shot themselves in the foot in terms of sales (people buy more things during the holiday seasons). I wouldn't be suprised if it's delayed once again to around autumn/November 2015. Its been now over a year in delays, cmon.
