Please don't get to cought up in the hype as it creates unrealistic expectations. It helps when looking at games to be cynical. However the game is amazing to play.
Exactly. Don't expect the game to be perfect. It has a lot to offer but not everything is going to be perfect/polished at release, even with additional dev time. Still, it's going to be a great package for a racing fan. The biggest worry I have is about career. It has progressed a lot in the last few month, but I'm not sure if there is enough time to Iron out every single bug before release with so many championships available.

Huayra should be 220-230mph, not 205.
That's would be a lot faster than a P1. AFAIK 230mph is the absolute top speed of a Huayra, which it probably will not reach on the Mulsanne Straight with chicanes (Edit: the chicanes have been there for the last 15 years).

The p1 is limited, the huayra would pass the speed easily on the non chicane straight

Yes, but there are chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight, and that is what they're calibrated for. Please let us know if there are any references showing a Huayra exceed 205mph there, and we'll show it to the devs.

Edit: a little googling don't give me any hard numbers to go by. The Huayra doesn't accelerate faster than the P1 from 0-60mph (3.2. vs 2.8). The P1 does 0-300kmh in 16.5 sec, but I can't find any similar data for the Huayra. The significant difference in power, including the optimal torque electric motor assisted curve for the P1 leads me to believe the Huayra would struggle to hang with the P1 at such high speeds with a limited length of straight.

You do realise I'm not saying it can reach 220 + mph with the chicane right? As I said before, it depends if the chicanes are in place or not.

^ Yes, I do. We just want this to be correct, therefore I'm investigating Need4Speed685's claim. So far I can't find anything to indicate that a Huayra would fly past a P1 down the Mulsanne. I'm inclined to believe that SMS has some reliable data.

It wouldn't fly past but it should be able to get a higher top speed. (On the full straight version of the track)

Looks like AI just got even better. Doug Arnao, who is responsible for car physics and AI, just said that the latest improvements he made (not in builds yet) make AI even more consistent and realistic and fast. He used to race professionally (maybe still does?) and he is now at 85% AI, so you can see how if you will want a challenging AI you can get it in this game. Good luck starting at the back of the grid and getting first place in 3 laps. If you gain 1 or 2 positions that might already be an achievement at higher difficulties.

This is the AI already before that change. Yorkie set the AI to 88% difficulty.

the release date is different for the limited? just paid the limited at gamestop and they told me it has been delayed to 15 may.

ok thanks, then gamestop may have an issue with their dates. they just showed me the delay mail and i pre-odered the Limited edition for 15 may. I have the sales receipt in my hand.

Or the stores got the info before the press release... It was the same thing before the first delay, rumors before the announcement turned out to be true.

Yes, they did indeed. At present we have not been told about any additional delay though.

The Gamestop web site(s) still say March, so there's an inconsistency on their part. So does Game, Amazon and a number of other stores.

Speed looks good, and they look "realistic". But they've got to do something about the inevitable first lap crash among the AI. It seems to happen way to often.
