I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Porsche road cars, but to have such a vivid representation of Le Mans in the game and then not have the manufacturer so synonymous with the track is absolutely maddening. So many Porsche competition cars throughout history I'd love to introduce to Project CARS' rendition of La Sarthe. To see the license being utterly wasted by the big faceless corporate giant of the games world just adds insult to injury :(
 
I'm not a licensing or manufacturing expert but is there any reason why developers couldn't start courting Singer to gain access to older Porsches. I have no problem with RUF but I'd like to see older Porsches thrown into the mix. The flat six is synonymous with 911s and the flat six is absent from Project Cars... as far as I know.
 
There's a massive thread about Porche/RUF in the GT section of the forums somewhere. I think it comes down to the fact that RUFs get issued with a new chassis number or something.
 
Yes, Rufs are built from an unmarked Porsche chassis using Ruf parts, so they are legally considered a manufacturer.

The CTR3 has a boxer-6 and the CTR is in progress to be added to the game, maybe as DLC.

My local retailer has the Limited Edition avaiable for pre-order, and I was about to reserve it.
Is there any change of another delay?
 
I'm not pre ordering is I miss out on some of my favourite cars (Mainly McLaren F1, Sauber C9 & BMW M1)

So glad to here this. I preordered the LE version ages ago but lost the receipt like an absolute idiot. After pre ordering again I noticed on my receipt it doesn't mention LE, returned to game to check if it was an LE preorder, and they said they couldn't tell. They also couldn't switch it to LE to make 100% sure because at this point it was sold out. So now I have no idea which version I'm gonna get....... :guilty:

I think so. Also for those who wont manage to get an LE copy because it is actually limited in numbers of copies.

Perhaps it will be like how f1 2013 managed limited edition content, the content is released as dlc for everyone a week or so after launch?

@JASON_ROCKS1998 yes the sauber is the one I want most as well. Well, that and the mclaren

It is kinda confusing why they are being so silent on the fact that you cant get LE anywhere in the U.S. Is there still no answer on why this is?

My guess is the limited stock means they want to distribute closer to home
 
For those interested in getting the Limited Edition for PC because of the extra 5 cars (like me), you can always pre-order the Digital Edition on Steam for the same price as the normal edition (at least here in Portugal) and get those cars along with the 3 that come with the Modified Pack...

Regarding the limited edition digital content a pre-order bonuses, do you think they will be released separately at launch or someday later? Based on the information I have, there will be no LE or pre-order bonuses in our country.

Likely released as paid DLC soon after release
