It is a nice cover compared to most steel cases, but I was hoping it was the limited edition.
I get you. Feeling sorry for the users that want to get the LE but can't! But maybe the preorder cars will be in future dlc. Who knows.

Ordered mine at Amazon.de.

Damn I'm in the states, wonder if I can preorder from Amazon.fr?
Don't see why not. I ordered a Blu-Ray from amazon.com a couple of years ago, and I ordered tons of games and Blu-Rays from amazon.co.uk...back when the € actually had some value. :(
Shipping might take a while, though.

Just preordered from france, it will be worth the wait. Now for a really stupid question. The PS4 isnt region locked is it?

Thanks for the heads up on DLC being region locked I just switched back to the NA copy. Guess I'll hope for the M1 and other cars to be in a DLC update.

The limited edition cars will surely be available to download for everyone at some point (free or paid, dunno). So its mainly the behind the scenes booklet you US of A peoples are missing out on. Arguably the steelcase of the gamestop edition is even nicer and it was designed by a WMD member. Namely Patrik Marek, the same guy who - you guessed it - designed the Marek Prototypes. Amazingly talented fella.

If I had the money, I would pay for him (and the guy behind the P30) to make such incredible designs into a game of my own. Then, I would show some Japanese developer how you're supposed to bring dream cars into a racing game.

No, but DLC is so you will probably have to set up a French account.
Watch out though, on PS3 for example i had an american copy (digital) of Grid AS, and when i bought the DLC with my Spanish account it didn't work, had to buy another spanish copy of the game...

Another reason to switch to PC :D

I thought you managed to make a post without touting your move to PC...how naive of me. :P

I have to be completely honest on this, I saw the tweet on twitter yesterday and it only made me upset, I pre-ordered on Amazon back on Sunday, July 20, 2014. I have wanted a Limited Edition of the Game but none was available for pre-order, I wanted to get a Limited Edition with Special Metal Box, The Booklet, And any Special/Limited Content included in one purchase/Package. I like to keep that stuff for Games that I really like or have a special interest in, that is just something that I like to do and have been able to do that with most Games that I have deemed important enough in the past.

SMS/Bandai/Namco now offering a Metal Box to those who purchase from GameStop is just a complete bunch of BS and a Slap in the Face to all who have been faithful and pre-ordered this from anywhere else (In my case Amazon).

I can tolerate the countless Delays, Coding and Squashing Bugs is Hard Laborious work, But this is something that can be controlled and is being handled horrendously!!!!

WDM Members, Please Pass This Along.

And a thoroughly good guy as well, might I add :)

Your mistake is a reason to move ?
You simply only have to use american account for the DLC. Match the game region with DLC. I have so many games from EU, US, JP/AS regions, and never have issue. Creating different region account also simple and easy to do, just be sure to have credit card handy for DLC purchase or safer way, buy PSN voucher for the region ( again you can get it online )

I prefer to have both console and PC, the only problem is my PC is from 2007  It does have Rfactor and LFS :D
