you could choose to hide helmet so it would look more like cockpit cam and still have the functionality, I would think.

I tried again on monza. One time with the Audi r8: I got nearly the same time for auto and manual. Second time Audi tt: nearly the same times as well.

I have to work hard, I can tell you guys. But it's fun.
As the shifting points are different, I have to learn so much. But I feel like... how to describe... like I drive more professional, like I accomplished something. It's a good feeling. But when I think about driving with other users, I think it's becoming more of a challenge for me to watch them and overtake (not get overtaken)!
I restarted and restarted again... So many times I forgot about time. It's crazy, but very fun!

Dude let me tell you something. When you start PCars and take up heel and toe shifting in some of the older cars, and really start to get the hang of it, you might not stop smiling for days and days. Your friends/family/significant other will think you've lost your marbles when, in the middle of a conversation, your mind wanders to recent memories of heel and toeing the Escort RS1600 around Cadwell Park or the Group 5 BMW around the Nordschleife, and you get the biggest 🤬 eating grin on your face while they babble on about gardening or where to walk the dog.

there's an option there to 'show helmet'. looking at some vids it's clear that there are people who are using the helmet view, with look to apex and helmet movement, but having no visible helmet. think this is a viewpoint I might like a lot.

This is correct. You can hide helmet, so you will get look to apex without the distraction if a helmet or your screen blurred out.
 
So there was an update preview for sounds on gt6 on YouTube, and the whole time I was like this is awful! Pcars does it so much better!

I guess I don't have to go back now

A little smile is already on my face tonight. I gave the zonda r a ride (1.5 hours gone in no time), no racing line, no aids, me shifting and I had so much fun. I was doing 5 consecutive best laps. :D couldn't stop.
First thing I'll do tomorrow when I wake up: drive again. I'm sick at home till Friday so I have a lot of free time.
I drove at monza the whole night so I got a clue of what gears in which corner. It's so damn fun again. I even did a race with AI competitors. Wasn't that hard.
Again, thank you guys for pushing me!!

Can tell you've been away from GT for a while.
 
I mean beeing focused on shifting and driving against others. But I know what you mean, gt AI isn't the strongest. ;)

Sure I'm on ps4! Can't wait to get Pcars running.
My new rig needs some final touches and I will surely join some online competition with you guys.
But I need to practice a lot more. Tomorow I'll give Laguna seca a try in gt5.

But when you make a new account, everything you have bought you can't play right? I think I messed up going all digital. I own 1 game on disk. The rest are DD. I guess I can make a separate account for project cars. And have that account only for racing. But I'll have to pay for 2 PSN accounts right?

I didn't buy any digital games on PS3, but with my disc versions I was able to play the same game with several different accounts. I had as many as 4 for GT5 for example. Don't know about paying for accounts I don't have a PS4:D

You can still play Digital Downloads on a different account on the same PS4. For example my son can play all my downloaded games on my PS4 when logged in on his account - even PS Plus games. Not 100% sure if you need to purchase PS Plus for the second account - my son can still play multiplayer online on all my games on his account, but I'm not sure what would happen if a game was purchased/downloaded on his account - I suspect then he would need PS Plus himself for multiplayer.

Edit: If going digital with pCARS, so long as you purchase and install it on your original account I think you'll have full functionality on the new account. Probably the same if you buy the disc and first install it using the original account.

Edit: From PlayStation.com "One PlayStation®Plus membership allows all local accounts on the subscriber’s ‘Primary PS4’ to use online multiplayer through their Sony Entertainment Network accounts. The PlayStation Plus member does not need to be logged in on the PS4 for other users to play online."
So if you have PS Plus on your original account you are definitely all good to play pCARS multiplayer on a second account. 👍

Was it ever found out if on consoles you could have the real time weather? I swear someone asked the question in wmd a month or so back as there was confusion about it

When you make a new acc on PS4 any game already loaded you can play you dont need to buy psn plus again that cover the machine. DLC doesn't always cross over to other accounts The Crew doesnt but im sure DC and NSF rivals do. I have several accounts on both PS3 and PS4

Edit :: Not to sure about digital downloaded games though, PS3 ok but yet to buy digital on PS4

Could anyone please do me a favor and request something to the developers?

The T-CAM in Formula A is a little bit too close.




Could anyone please ask them if they might consider changing or adding another T-Cam which shows a little bit of the drivers helmet (so that we can see his head movements). Codemasters F1 got that right:




(e.g.: 4:35)


Would be really nice and much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
