In regards to my comment "hence, 60 fps", at the time I was thinking in terms of the example you, funnily enough, brought up, the ps3 gt games (as in if they get titled as 60fps PCARS deserves to as well as they suffer the same drops).

Except that my point was that GT5 and GT6 should never have been labelled as 60fps either, because they're really not.

I've been fighting that particular battle with people for years, people who tend to be of the opinion that if a game can hit 60fps at any point at all it qualifies. It may well do, in their own odd definition, but it's not the definition that most people would think of when they hear 60fps. Forza Motorsport is what they think of, damn near rock solid 60fps except under very exceptional circumstances, and even then only barely under.

I think we're both on the same page here, but there's going to be a lot of people looking for information about the game looking to purchase in the next few days and weeks. I think it's important that we're clear exactly what they're getting for their money. GT6 is probably a great example, there are a decent amount of people that had buyer's remorse afterwards because it turned out not to be what it was advertised to be.

I think the good parts of pCARS are good enough that people will buy even knowing about the bad bits. I mean, it's basically F1 2015 with outstanding physics and the worlds most enormous additional car and track pack added in. It's an incredibly good game.

It also depends on where you live I think. My friends in the middle of Bayern (Bavaria) did get the email this morning. But as I live on the border to Luxenbourg, I get my Amazon orders from there. I only live 80 km away from their logistic centre so I'm used to late emails

It really seems to depend on the region you live. I live quite the same area as your friends currently (if we have the sam definition of "in the middle of Bavaria" :sly:) and everyone got the email at the same time. I guess because we all will receive our shippings from the same Amazon logistic centre.
Anyway, if the worst comes to the worst, you can still go there and pick it up by yourself. :sly:

Yes I agree with this. I was saying if the GTs are considered 60fps then so should pcars. But like you said, none of them constantly are.

Well, there is no worst for me, I have pcars on Steam since 2012. So I'm playing anyway (or I would if I had time)

Proud moment.

The karts are fantastic, took me a while to get used to constant shaking of the camera but feeling good, 8 point lead at the top of the table. :D

Hi Alegunner, I'm in New Zealand desperate to get a t300rs. The price you got is great. It's $799 here. Alternate don't ship internationally. Do you know of a workaround?

Quick question, should I get this on my PC or on PS4? Anyone with a GTX 750ti tell me what settings they can run? :) Very interested, just stuck in a best case scenario dilemma.

If @LogiForce isn't onboard in some way for pcars 2 I'm going to be upset. Just reading your posts and picturing you as a little anime character (from your picture) makes me really look forward to eventually getting to play pcars.

Hahaha, well I'm leaning towards PC because my wheel doesn't work on the PS4, which nullifies the reason for a sim. Just scared that the performance will suffer on my pc.

Unless you have a lot of Race pals on PS4 then PC is the way to go! Your GFX card should be more than a match for a PS4, but you will need an I5 as a minimum

Played the Xbox one version for a few hours at midnight. To anyone using a controller, you are in for a world of hurt, sorry but SMS have done a terrible job of implementing the game pad on this console, even after 30 mins of back and forth tweaking it's so stupidly twitchy and not much fun at all really. Will give it a good crack today but initial impressions with a game pad have soured me

Sorry to say but you really need to get a wheel to get the best out of this game, same as any RaceSim.

You are the first who doesn't like the pad it seems. Give it some time, half an hour is not really much

Sorry but if you are going to release a game on consoles, you gotta get the controls right. Forza and GT have great controls so it can be done. Hopefully SMS can improve it but as it currently stands the XB1 version is in for some harsh criticism.

Hi,

With an i5-4460, Palit GTX 750 Ti OC @ 1920 x 1080,
Oulton Park,
12 AI Cars in RUF GT3,
In Car view,
With detailed grass at medium,
all other details on Ultra,
Bloom, Heat haze and vignette on – 35-46 FPS

Switching off bloom, heat haze, vignette and setting details to high – 50-67 FPS

Setting details to medium – 66-83 FPS

Hopefully this may help give you a rough idea of what to expect :)

I think you have to remember Forza and Gt aren't Sims, they are far more forgiving, handling wise etc. I feel that if you gave it a go with a wheel you would have a different view.
