Have you tried Controller Mode 1 or 2 in Options setting? Then you can make any personal adjustments to steering/throttle/brake sensitivity.
I wanted to reassign gear change buttons from the default of r1 aand l1.. Other than manually doing it, is there pre-mapped ones that we can pick from? Or if we want to reassign we have to map all buttons?
Thanks

If it was just the wheel then maybe. But I want the pedals and need a wheelstand too. That's getting up there. Can definitely afford it, it's just what I'm spending the money on that would piss her off.
Understand what you're saying maybe just the wheel and WSP for now:sly:? The stock pedals are not as bad as some make out in my opinion.

So from what I been hearing mode three is the most comfortable option when it comes to DS4 users right??? Wanna make sure I be a little comfortable when I first play it and tweak the steering and stuff from there. Oh yea and another thing I know that for a fact I'm not about to use R1 and L1 to up shift and down shift. Gonna change that up as well.

Mode 3 is default at game start. It is too sensitive (= twitchy) for me. I tried Mode 2 and found it immediately better. Now adjusting throttle/braking sensitivity to my perfect spot.

Oh sorry I thought mode 1 was default setting. Well looks like I will be using mode 2 then.

Just had this arrive at work...

Now I just have another 6 hours left at work to endure - then it's my turn to cook dinner tonight so I'm thinking that's gonna be Subway on the way home - can't cook and drive.

My Project CARS pre order LE processed email arrived on tues, and one email today my email saying my order is dispatched. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Finger crossed touch wood.

Have the game since wednesday so I already had some time to adjust stuff. I use the DS4 at the moment, the steering is indeed a little too twitchy, even with the sensitivity set to the lowest. Does anyone got any suggestion to reduce the twich even more? Still not familiar with all the settings available. But I guess i'll just have to get used to it, even though I didnt have that problem in GT6

I have an xbox with a tx and with pCARS it works great but I think ffb is a bit of a hit and miss, but that is depending on the car uou choose.
FFB can be configured per car, but I haven't tried on all cars so you could be right.

Is there a way to remove the darker band at the top of the windshield on the cars that have a more racing pedigree?
I feel claustrophobic with such a narrow view to the interesting outside world!

I had Play-asia contact me saying my Limited Edition version I preordered is actually the standard edition. I am trying not to be angry. Really wanted to drive the Zonda Cinque roadster.

Not possible. The windscreen banners are part of the 3D car and interior models, and would require modifying the models in order to remove them. This sucks, but a lot of racing games with race-tuned cars have them modeled too.

In case anyone likes to have things in their taskbar in Windows, which by default you can't make a shortcut to run PCars from the taskbar. *sadpanda*

- Right click on your desktop background
- Hover over New
- Choose Shortcut
- Type "explorer steam://rungameid/234630" (without the quotes)
- Click Next
- Give it any name you want (i.e. "Project CARS")
- Click Finish
- Right click on the new desktop shortcut
- Choose Properties
- Click Change Icon...
- In the address bar at the top paste in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam\games" (without the quotes)
- Press Enter
- Click on the Project CARS icon (it will have a long, random filename)
- Click Open
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Right click on the new PCars shortcut
- Choose Pin to Taskbar

Now you can run PCars directly and don't need to fumble around in Steam to play. This will work with any steam game, you just need to know the game id, in this case it is 234630.

👍
