I doubt it, I remember @Myles Prower saying something regarding how the physics or something regarding the game cant handle a track any bigger than a certain size.

I know on pc Leo Bodnar has an adapter that works but it converts the shifter to a USB standalone device, so won't work on the PS4.

I've never read this anywhere, so i think it is just a speculation. Cali Highway and Azure Coast are longer than the VLN 24h Layout of the Nordschleife iirc. I would say it is a licensing issue atm, but this is also pure speculation.

Anyone old enough to remember the "Hardie 1000" . Well yesterday I did a 15 Lapper in a Group A RS500 in car helmet view and it gave me goose bumps of them days when the Cosworth raced at the mountain . Probably at this moment this best ever race i've had . It was amazing .

I've beaten my personal best time around Brands Hatch Indy twice in solo mode ( the one with 250 laps under the single race option) and it is not updating my best time for the track as shown in the bottom right corner when I exit that solo mode. It shows the best time overall and under that my old best time.
Nearly everything in that mode has a lock on it so I can't do anything except quit when I've had enough in a session but the game does save.
How do I get it to update my time?

Okay. I get that - but it is not about setting a Time Attack time to be recorded online.
It's about the game showing ME my personal best lap on that circuit in that type of car when I select a circuit for practice. Since this time is only shown in practice mode as far as I can tell.
Otherwise what's the point of showing me my best time in practice mode if it's not recorded in practice mode.

Last night I found a way around one of my annoyances. To use a DS4 in the menus when using a wheel you can hold the PS button on the T300 and select log out, which takes you to the profile screen, turn on the DS4 and go back into the game from the dashboard.
For going from the DS4 to the wheel, turn off the controller and then press the PS button on the T300 and you should be golden. It's a little clunky, but using the wheel for menus and replays is awful. Hopefully, eventually it will be patched into the game.

Problem is... sometimes the wait can be far too long. We had a room of 5, the host waited over 15 minutes... As one left, the rest followed. I'd rather run with 4 good dedicated racers than not at all
or potentially just added a bunch of wasters.Plus, and more importantly, I don't think many people use it to say "hurry up" most people I have encountered use the thumbs up to state that they are happy with the selected track and car and time of day, and they are giving me an indication as to how many people in my room are genuinely comfortable and satisfied with the selected race.
They are essentially just saying "I'm good to go when you are" I'm my experience.
In fact, today I had a room of thumbs up, changed it to the nords at night, and it was like "the vanishing"
The thumbs up all disappeared, and all I could see was planet earths for miles lol

Guys, set quali time to 15 or 30 minutes and enjoy the JIP feature. No need to wait for anyone

Reload the specific track you raced on in the leaderboards section, and your time will appear.

yeah I set up a lobby with a 15 min quali before the race and it was always full. next time I might skip quali and put in a warm up instead, can problem still jump in on the warm up or only practise and quali? thought it'd be good cos then if we encounter aliens who set super fast times there's a chance they'll start in the middle or back of pack instead of up front heheh

The best time you're seeing in practice mode is the best time you've set in Time Trial with that class of car on that track. It's used to compare your best time to the number one best time. Additionally you can use your best time to practice for the Time Trial via turning fuel usage off and putting 5 L in the car you want to practice with, setup, etc..

Has anyone noticed a bug when viewing other people's live telemetry?
For example, if you sit in a practice/quality session and select monitor, and view the telemetry of some of the others, some of them have a strange glitch where the accelerator blips on and off at an incredibly fast rate (constantly) as if they are using an old school rapid fire button.
It's very bizarre?

There is a limitation on the maximum square area covered for a track. However, that limit is far more than what is needed for any Nords/Nürb layouts. So no problem technically - as usual, and I know it's boring to hear, it's most likely about licensing.

I am so sick of being in Clio Cup...I want to ****ing throw this car off of a cliff. 
I finished second last season in the championship and I'm still stuck in this shoddy French (rant commences, too many swears to count)...
Anyway...where can I find the menu music for this game? It's like Lord of the Rings or something.

If you have the PC edition you can extract, display & record live telemetry from the game with third party software.
This is the screen shot of my 2nd screen during an outlap on a free practice run.
Sorry it is blurry, it is a poor phone and backlit by sun through curtains.
Using this I can dispense with any on screen HUD, and have all the data I need. Particular highlights are the tyre wear, tyre temp, fuel management and damage indicators.
I even configured the tyre temp indicators to change colour at the same threshold that the in-game HUD does.
The only downside seems to be the increased chance of crashing by getting distracted
This makes free practice & hot-lapping a dream.
