This is what I mean when I say the aspect ratio is pretty iffy on here. Convienent that all my other games fit within the TV (which I'm convinced it's the Xbox One with the issue seeing as how my PS3/360 never had an issue with this.)

Also love how they gave the evo a very subtle The Fast and the Furious livery from Brian's Eclipse :D

Same, its bloody great fun. I'm doing the same with the Ginetta Jnr's for the same reason.
I'd love to do Ginetta Juniors for many seasons...just tired of being in this Renault. :indiff: For my driving style it isn't fun...I understand though why others may like it.

If you have the PC edition you can extract, display & record live telemetry from the game with third party software.

This is the screen shot of my 2nd screen during an outlap on a free practice run.

Sorry it is blurry, it is a poor phone and backlit by sun through curtains.

Using this I can dispense with any on screen HUD, and have all the data I need. Particular highlights are the tyre wear, tyre temp, fuel management and damage indicators.

I even configured the tyre temp indicators to change colour at the same threshold that the in-game HUD does.

The only downside seems to be the increased chance of crashing by getting distracted :)

This makes free practice & hot-lapping a dream.

[edit]
You can also perform analysis and save everything out as well :)

Are there destructions on how to do this somewhere? I really have no clue.:ouch:

There are several apps listed here, but some of them don't link to any download location http://www.projectcarsgame.com/apps.html there are some for Android and Apple devices.

You have to set Shared Memory to true. I think the setting is in the hardware tab of the graphics settings.
@mister dog says that if you use shared memory & watch a replay there is a bug which can wipe your profile, so you might want to research that, or be careful that you know what the setting is before you watch a saved replay

The particular one I used was from http://www.tomshane.cz/profiler/

You just install that. There are no instructions that I could find.

but...
Start the profiler before starting pcars.
Find the connect icon right at the top.
Start PCARS.

Go into free practice & do some laps.

Alt -tab back to the profiler & you will see all the recorded lap data. CLick the disconnect & you will be able to look through & compare all the data from your laps.

Then have a look at the Graphs & indicators menus, you can choose from some preset displays for tyre temp, wear damage etc...

I created 3 custom layouts - analysis (with telemetry graphs), Pitboard(with all the live telemetry gauges etc..) and Recording (which only shows the lap times - I thought this would be useful when I just want to record the laps without the overhead of updating the live gauges / graphs.

This looks remarkably similar to how I've configured Dashmeter Pro to work on my tablet, just on a smaller scale, obviously.
It is fully customizable. And a dollar cheaper today than it was when I bought it release day.

Tire temps, wear rate, fuel useage, lap times, splits, speed, RPM, gear, etc. The only thing it cannot show is inner/middle/outer tire temp. And I cannot remember if it shows active tire pressures or not.

But I highly recommend this. You can configure up to 4 screens per device it is on and you can have, I assume, nearly a limitless number of devices running concurrently, all displaying different information of your choosing.
Getting it configured was a touch difficult, but nothing major.

Thanks. 👍👍 I have DM Pro. I used it with AC but haven't set it up yet for PCars as I haven't had a lot of time and I've been focused on just getting a feel for things. I'll probably never set up a second screen but you never know.

Does this work "live" or is it for replays after the fact?

I'm using the profiler and loving it! It shows live data and can be used to review data afterwards.
This is a picture of how I've set it up.

My wife is fairly sure I'm nuts already. But I'm soon to have a triple tv setup. Plus the tablet for the DM Pro. Now this to go on the 22" monitor. She'll be convinced for sure.

My setup is going to take some re-thinking because if I want to see the 2nd screen I have to drive on my small monitor rather than the 42" TV.

However it looks like the profiler can serve the telemetry over the network to a separate computer. Sadly all our laptops & netbooks run linux. I think there is an old x51 in a cupboard with XP on it though. If I can run the profiler on that and stream the telemetry to it I'll be sorted :D

pro tip (that I don't think has been mentioned):

for everyone who uses a wheel and has been struggling to get the pit engineer audio solely through speakers/headphones and not through the PS4 controller speaker, myself included, I found out how, and it is laughably simple...

just turn off your controller.

it works. mine is usually on when my console is so I never realised, but if you want to wear headphones, still hear Stig but not through your pad just switch it off by holding down PS home button > adjust sound and devices, turn controller off.

can't believe I didn't try this earlier :dunce:

I like the Ginetta. Its a pretty fun car and series, racing on nice British tracks that I've never seen before.

I don't know what I should do at the end of this first season. GT4 and Prototype are both good options, but I'm leaning Prototype as it seems like a funner car to drive compared to one of the GT4s.

I would love some insight to pit strategy. I just did McLaren 3hr invitational. Set up pit strategy - refuel and change tires. Estimated 16 seconds. When I pitted, it took 32 seconds. I didn't have any mechanical damage to repair. What happened?? (I didn't have Lewis Hamilton's rear wheel pitman, did I?)

I wish there was more robust replay. Then I could see pit time of other cars.

There seems to be a bug in the ToD setting:

Brands Hatch Indy, Today @11pm

Brands Hatch Indy, Today @2AM

This is a practice session and when i return to the menu, ToD has been reset to 7pm in both cases...consider it reported, thanks.
