I finished my first season in GT5. Finished 3rd in the standings, but disappointingly enough I only had a Formula Rookie and GT5 offer. I took Formula Rookie as I was glad to finally get out of the Ginetta. Two of the five races were wet races, and the Ginetta is a handful in the rain. I did learn you can move down a tier...didn't know that.

I also realized that the AI are extremely fast compared to the user when in the grass. Seems the AI physics and User physics aren't equal on non-dry-tarmac surfaces.

I was doing a 55 lap race at sonoma raceway with Nascar's and the race was going pretty good. Before i pitted i was running 9th (AI was on 80% by the way) and was just having a blast slipping and sliding around on old tires late in a fuel run and then finally came to pits took tires and fuel and then like 3 laps later i spun and had aero damage so i had to come back in and fix that:( And then on lap 42/55 (like 4 laps after fixing the aero damage) my engine blown:banghead: I wasn't to mad because the race was going so well until those two things happen. I actually recorded it when the engine blew up so i will post that on the video thread sometime tomorrow probably. Also it was so hard to pass in that race and the AI was really aggressive.

I had a shot at winning a race in the Clio Cup yesterday, but my pit crew failed badly so I ended up finishing 10th. Luckily I can still win the championship.

Monaco in the LMP1s is just ridiculous. It's a total free for all with avoiding the AI in the slow bits, attempting to make it round the hairpin is tough especially with the AI trying stupid overtakes round it.

Well back to the hairpin with me struggling in 7th there was quite the ludicrous sight of a full on 15+ car pile up at the hairpin presumably caused by another bone headed move with luckily just enough room on the inside. So with my badly damaged car crabbing horribly to the left minus engine cover and the front nose section of the car to squeeze through and take an easy win...
What?! Is this a career event? LMP1 doesn't race at Monaco IRL, do they? This is just :banghead: waiting for me.

I just had a horrific incident in my career mode with the Formula Rookies at Sonoma short. Entering the penultimate turn I was going inside and the driver ahead of me was outside, he cut in late, blocking me. I was going full speed, he broke a little...my front left hit his front right, and I spun, flipped over once, landed on my wheels with both my fronts gone, and heavy damage. There was what looked to be parts of the suspension/body on the track, and the wheels were somewhere in the dirt.

It was pretty amazing when I saw it again in the replay, even though my driver should have died after that, and I finished last in the race, of course.

This game seriously has some sensational soundtracks!!!! Just played it for less than an hour and I really enjoy this game. The soundtrack is great, gameplay is mad fun. my only complaint really though is the lack of cars lol

It's reminiscent of the soundtrack from NFS Shift 2. Not surprising since SMS made that game too.

Just wondering, why does the 24 Hours of Le Mans race on PS4 have only 30 cars? The game supports 44 on that track... Kind of disappointing.

Edit: Also, how do you turn off the racing line assist?

Driving line: options->gameplay->display&thud

With Le Mans I can only imagine the career version to be limited because the race is part of the WEC season and this championship has just 30 entries and is including races on smaller tracks with less pit spots too.

Thanks,
So which one has the full 55 car grid on PC ( http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/the-24-hours-of-le-mans-join-project-cars/ , that article says there would be 55 cars) If it exists then which one is the 45 car grid on PS4/XBONE?

It was career I started a new one straight into LMP1 after trying to go from LMP3 upwards but got caught up racing loads of events I didn't want to. It's in the Euro series third race.

That LMP1 only championship is as silly as the Clubman thingy on GT.

Is the replay in 60FPS ingame?

Depends on graphics hardware and settings.

Anyways, I just realized that the LMP1s...are before the 2014 regulations change (based on 2013, I think). I hope someone makes LMP1s (and LMP2s) that are based on the 2014 regulations. (Another LMP regulations change is scheduled for 2017, which might be a bit out of range for the 'current' Project CARS lifespan, although right now it's 'only' 2015.)

Woke up too early for a Sunday Morning :grumpy:

Thought I know lets have a coffee an watch a few replays 💡

So watching the Season 2 Endurance Race as i saved the whole replay , crist it's like watching Eurosport Live without the commentary :P

Is there in game info somewhere what version (build) you're running? I know I can check version from *.exe-file.

To all the people that have bought a Megane RS in the world...Those guys seriously need to go back to Renault and ask for a refund if SMS has the physics for it spot on...Absolute dreadful car to drive!
Same as with the Focus, go to the FFB settings and lower the Fx,Fy,Fz and Mz scales to about 74% to avoid clipping, you will immediately notice a big difference. Then it needs a lot of tweaking trying to get that back end loose. I spent 2 hours yesterday doing that and afterwards it felt a bit better. Car just doesn't want to oversteer no matter what you do to it.

Gents would you recommend me getting this game now or get TW3 and wait for the game to get bugs fixed by patches?

For me there is one that comes close, and it's the AI in rain races. They pit when it is still dry and seem to run with a lot more grip, making it impossible for the player to get up front.

I agree. I really don't care racing in the rain against the AI because of this. Hopefully in a future update they can make the AI lose some grip in the rain.

So you're telling me no work has been started on safety cars... at all? So how can someone else speculate that safety cars could be coming with Indy/Ovals which have had work started on?

Seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Dude, ease off. Its kind of hard to keep track of over 30000 right hands who are posting hundreds of posts every day, if not thousands.

We dont know everything that SMS is doing, sometimes they are working behind the scenes for a while until they introduce new stuff to us. blowfishys train of thought is probably that safety cars are very important for oval racing, so they should be introduced along with the oval DLC because it makes sense from a gameplay point of view. But we no know now.

Oh my god has psn been hacked again? (From what I been hearing) sigh... Surprised none of you guys posted something about this yet. Luckily the offline part of this game is good.

Oh that is a let down, hope they fix it with the first patch.

Is this on all formats? I can think of two races that were wet and I didn't have a problem matching the AI for speed. I can't remember if it's only been on PC where I've had wet races or whether I've had some on PS4 and XBone as well.
