I was wondering, you know how in a formula one season you can count on maybe two or three guys dominating that season? (Possibly even just one guy) well my problem is I can finish around fourth or fifth all season on any given pcars career race yet win the whole championship. I believe this is due to the ai never winning back to back, or even placing close to their previous race. One guy can win day one then day two he gets 15th.

How hard would it be for in an update to alter some of the ai to make them better than others? Since its so random I feel like there is no rivalry
Probably got many Maldonados in your line up :sly:.
That sucks. A quick glance at the first sector times and it's almost a linear progression up the board based on the (obviously shortcut) first sector time. 👎👎
It is a shame it is like this. I'm interested to see how the current fastest time did the last sector, I wonder if it was by staying on track or not as it seems really fast. Will try and see the fastest ghost before it ends.

Isn't it possible to go on times with ghost data available and select 'Use This Ghost' which should then put a tick next to time you want before you enter?
For TT's you hit triangle to select the ghost and x to enter the race. On the community events you hit triangle to start the race and if you hit x on the players lap time it brings up there PSN profile. Seems to be a big oversight on PS4 at least.

To be honest, I only race at 100% because I want the game to last as long as possible, this game is the kind I will notch hundreds of hours in(hopefully) so I'd rather build up realistically 'to the highest level' than win a lot.

So, by that logic maybe I shouldn't complain.
I've been considering doing the same thing, unless the AI is disastrously aggressive. I think improving myself as a driver will be more fulfilling than moving up the ranks of the career mode, so I might as well peg the AI at 100% and enjoy the ride.

I've bumped up the AI setting to 80 also.As I get more and more comfortable with the cars and more importantly the tracks I've been needing to increase the AI. So glad that option is available. I've noticed the advantage the AI have in the rain that so many of you had mentioned. At Silverstone the AI was keeping pace with me on wets when they were running slicks. Despite the few little niggles, I'm really enjoying everything the game has to offer and only expect it to get better with time.

I started Career in Clios yesterday and with 100% AI I gapped them for 20 seconds each race at Donnington :(
Hope next weekend is better, at Snetterton, which will be a new track for me.

Maybe it was a track they don't work that good. They were painfull slow at the Old Hairpin and the last turn. Good everywhere else.

I wasn't on 100%, but I noticed the ai ondonnington was painfully easy. Next race is different

If you're 20 seconds ahead, you'll likely have a shot to win every race. Donington is the AI's slowest track, but 20 seconds is a huge gap, even there. They're slow at Snetterton also, but let me know how you do at Silverstone. They're very quick there.

I'm guessing they've built the AI to get progressively more difficult as you go into a Series. That seems to match my experience thus far. Each race gets more difficult with more weather and random effects to throw you off. But I love having to keep up with the track temps/weather/tires/etc, not just run laps.

I won the Clip championship at 100% difficulty and have won every G40 session I've participated in so far (4 race wins, 3 poles[did Silverstone qualifying but not the races yet]).

The driving is fantastic and the the AI great fun when they're on pace, but the lack of a career mode challenge is a major disappointment. I haven't done a quick race weekend yet, where the AI is apparently faster, but if I can't create and maintain a championship using that mode, what's the point?

Maybe you could handicap yourselves the GT way and race with full tanks? Fuel loads make a big difference in this game. Also not qualifying on the front row might aid the challenge.

In later Seasons (i.e. High Class Championships), there is no AI downscaling anymore.

At Silverstone the highest I finished at 80% was 11th. When the rain came in I just couldn't keep pace with some of the AI, even after I'd switched to wets and the AI hadn't.

Hmmm, all of my community events are locked

Does anyone have anything they can tell me about that?

Bug, something I've done, mystery?

Anyway to reset the helmet cam back to default? I've messed about with up/down/forward/backwards that much i think i've mucked the view up.
I'd like to be able to do this too. I'm ok for forwards/backwards but can't remember which cars I adjusted the seat height for back when I first got it.

Just realized the 'crap' pun on this car.  :yuck:

Did a 10 lap race at Le Mans the other day...won by about 40 seconds ahead of second place. Most of the field half way through started going slow as **** and crashing. x4 tire wear confused them. Some pitted and didn't leave the pits. I was weaving through traffic like Tom Kristensen. :P

When are the pit crews coming back? I miss watching them work. :P

You need more diff acceleration lock.
Thanks for the advice Ozwheels .
I spend the after and evening driving this car because you gave some good advice to start with .
I almost dropped this car because it was to hard with gamepad:crazy: but than you came hahaha ,spend for 6 hours driving this car whoeoeoehaaaa .
Did just a time trial and for the moment I'm first on the leaderbord with the Lotus 98T at Zolder .
But ......for how long :P
Yet , i haven't done a race at Zolder with the AI , if it is like the Formule C and the lotus78 at Zolder than it will be a bit dissapionted .
Hmmmmm.... lets see .

The diff lock helps a lot on cars that have enough power to overpower the chassis. Glad you enjoyed the car. 👍

On the PS4 you just need to shut the application down and restart it, it then opens them back up again (or it does for me), I think its caused by using the rest function.

To sum the Lotus's up:
Lotus 43 - Pay attention. Difficult...but probably do-able.
Lotus 72D - Don't let go. It wants your face impression on the bodywork.
Lotus 78 - Have fun. Great car.
Lotus 98T - You are ****ed. Tail happy nut job of a car. :scared: Only Ayrton Senna can drive it.
Odd. I find the 98 much more drivable than both the 49 and 72.

I haven't run a race there but someone else mentioned that you can get 42 cars on Brno. Problem is there are only 30 pit stalls. I thought cars on track were limited by the number of pit stalls. Or is there some sharing of pits going on?

I've had a few messages pop up on the side of the screen, usually where blue flags, lap invalidated messages are that read "Pit box currently occupied". So, it could be, I thought that might just be flashing up for team mates though.

I did a race at Imola this evening, an most of the cars had garages to sit in, but some had just been lined up on the outside wall. I guess it's a bit pick an choosey sometimes with its limits.
