Ok, i apologise, but around about the same time, a different WMD member said there wouldn't be safety cars.

One of the statements must have been untruthful as they contradict each other.

Or, you know, one of them (the guy who supposedly said "No safety car") just might have been wrong? We members are 80.000 humans, not 80.000 info robots, its not easy to keep remembering every detail correctly about a project this complex. Or maybe he just misunderstood something? Or maybe he meant no safety car at release? Or maybe he knew something that, at the time, we others didnt know?

I believe you missed my point entirely. We have the game in our hands so we are able to evaluate the physics for ourselves in order to determine the validity of that statement. I can say without a doubt that the physics on average are very good, as good as or better than any other sim I've tried. Whether a real driver said this or not, I don't care because I can verify the statement myself but I see no reason to doubt Mr. Bell in this regard. I'm a smart enough consumer as I suspect everyone else here is, however, to not rely on a statement like that when making a game purchase, knowing it could be just marketing speak.

The whole presumption that because WMD members might make a profit from the game therefore you are a fool to believe anything they say is nonsense. While caution is always warranted on any individual statement, I spent 2 years reading this and other forums about the game and I cannot recall a single discussion that later proved to be false or an outright lie if you will. Remember the members only played the pc version of the game which was in good shape from the get go. The problems with the console versions of the game were not available to them nor were they able to play it so you can't hang that on them. If you are going to continue to make accusations or slanderous remarks along those lines I suggest you come up with some specific examples of things that were said pre-release that turned out to not be true, or withdraw your accusations and inferences.

I got your point exactly!
You are missing mine again!

Just saying that the physics are not in question. They are good!

The point is that some internet WMD member is going around making a statement with no foundation, proof, evidence, facts etc to back it up (such as teams prefering the game to their in house simulator" it is complete hyperbole.

Thats the point.
I agree that "WE" can judge for ourselves, however we can't compare between "Teams" in house simulators that the F1/GT drivers use etc..so blindly beleving that is mental?

If I come online and say that a high profile driver currently in F1 told me NFS Shift was the best sim in history, you'd be a moron to believe it? So why blindly belive other statements that are just as ludicrous, as they are backed up with nothing? Literally nothing at all? 0

As for lies:
"Wii U"
Safety Cars
Pit Crews
Multi discipline Career
Team Managment
No micro transactions
Marketplace
Tyre deformation (can't belive it as its "disabled visually) has anyone ever seen it.. No! Ian Bell said its been disabled visually but happens in the physics..
Delay to polish the game to a perfect launch ;)
We were advised it would originally be a service like IRacing not a 2 yearly franchise.
June monthly car ;)
Custom championships
60fps ;)

The game was pitched as this (below) and we received almost none of it:

I don t care that much, just saying that if you want to believe some thing without facts, proof, evidence or foundation, about a product that is sold by the company who pay him based on sales... Good luck to you ;)

I'll leave it there :D

There was no "supposedly" anything.

It was the information we had at the time before Ians statements. How is that untruthful?
It's kinda off-topic but since you seem to have you connections at sms/wmd is the sticky upon contact cars going to be fixed acknoledged? It ruins races and driving feelings online and it's not getting the needed attention.

Hmm sorry, but that document was directed to the people wanting to become a WMD member, it was never used to sell the game. It was a plan, not promises. It's like if someone leaked the internal planning of Forza 6 before the game release and people complained that there is things in that plan that are not in the final game and that those were lie.

Was the Wii U Pcars a plan or promise ? or both ? :) Surprising tire deformation is not visually shown, LFS had it.

For the V3 design overview of Pcars, the link is on my sig :) Worth a read to see how the game changed from 2013 to 2015.

I guess some of the dropped feature were saved for Pcars 2 :D

I don't know, last time I checked, it was there. It wasn't really good, but it was there.

Never stopped to check for visual tyre deformation, but handling-wise, it's definitely there (e.g. consistently locking-up will give you flat-spots which can be felt as the tyres wear down)

Well the problem is that it is disabled for sure when watching a replay (it has always been like this). So it's not an easy thing to look at while driving.

Can't get enough of full grid races thrashing the Formula Rookie around the Nordshleife in dynamic weather, with the volume cranked. Just brilliant really.

I have only played once since patch 2.5 was released, but this is definitely what I will be doing next time I fire it up.

Sorry but I dont know any more than what is posted in the public forum at the moment. I do share your frustration with the stickiness tho and hope it gets fixed.

Ok i just thought of asking you since you were one of the most informed and strongest promoter of the game :) hope they look into it soon, for ai vs human scraping is ok it's just the human vs human one that is that strange....

Yeah, noticed it's a lot smoother after going to Win10, and that's on nVidia. I'm sure AMD users will see a lot more result.

Getting worried for my T300 now. It seems fine in solo mode, but I started an LMP3 season and the FFB diminishes after a few minutes to a very small resistance with bumps still noticeable. I'm not actually sure if there is feedback in corners, it seems the same as when I'm turning it in the main menu.

In other news, how is Monza in France?!

Yeah, it seems a lot of people have problems with it slowly dying. I was reading a thread earlier on one person's experience as well. Thanks for the thread, I'll try out a few things people have said in it. Although I'm mainly having problems with it just losing life rather than vibrating aggressively. It does beg the question as well if it is actually the game causing the wheel to break. To add to that, someone said that, when he did a 5 lap race in GT3 on both PCARS and AC, he found that the fans turned off two minutes after the race ended in AC and ten minutes after in PCARS. PCARS does seem to be very aggressive on wheels.

Friend of mine who owns the T300 has been reporting the wheel may have a bit of a steering deadzone? anybody had this issue?

Make sure he's set the steering deadzone to zero in the control options, of course. I don't think i have a deadzone personally.

Makes me wonder that if that turns out to be so, could SMS be held responsible for broken wheels and be financially liable?

For clarity. I don't have a ffb wheel so no agenda from me, just idle curiosity

Probably not, it's a consequence of current wheel design. It's quite easy to create a situation around the center where the two FFB motors are hammering against eachother at full force. Drivers/hardware should ideally prevent this, but I guess that's not easy to achieve without compromising feel.
