I'm still unsure of this, but is there a wet racing line, or is it best to stick on the normal line when it rains? I noticed earlier on the AI were braking away from the outside of the corner entry, but then it rained yesterday and they seemed to take a normal line.

The regular racing line will become slippery when wet, so yes you will have to take a different line. If I recall correctly, rain will also wash away the rubber from the tarmac, so once it becomes dry it needs to be rubbered in again.

What started as a nice competition on Hockenheim GP:

As soon as the race began it became a game of "dodge the hoaming missiles"

Seriously SMS, add a ****ing "ban troll drivers" option...

I think the game needs a push to talk button.

Even though I can (and normally) just create a private party so I don't hear other chat, so many people just leave their mics on with their loud speakers for everyone to hear. Yes I mute them but sometimes I don't know to until it is too late.

If people were forced to press a button to chat - they would less likely be filing the voice chat with useless noise.

The R8 LMS GT3 mod is looking good.

To those who went from GT6 to pCARS: how steep was the learning curve for you?

Not that steep. The main thing I had to work on was braking. But that was because I always race with ABS on GT6. Other than that, maybe understeering as well. You could usually power your way out of an undertseery car in GT6, but that's not the case in PCARS.

I was trying to adapt to no ABS in GT6 (for online racing with friends) and I found it very difficult because it did not match reality.
In PCars, I don't even use ABS (even if it is a real aid). I like it, it feels like it should feel.

PCars is much more immersive and while I could drive for hours and hours in GT6, in PCars it is much more demanding. Driving a 4hr stint is about as much as I can take in one go...

Forget the "chase the rabbit" and dodge the moving chicanes (AI), and prepare for real racing. :P

This game does everything it can to make you loose...Case in point. Im in a Race Series (don't matter which one) I keep the AI the same and for the first few races I do good, staying on the podium and even some races makes you think you need to ramp up the difficulty because you win a race by 10 seconds....And then WHAM, the game throws rain at you, AI starts to dive bomb/cuts track and has more power in straights. You barely hit a guy (which early in the series wouldn't even leave a scratch) but now it knocks your front end so out of whack that you cant even drive.
Some can say that this makes for a exciting Race Series, but for me it makes it hard to judge what to leave the AI slider on. And its just damn frustrating.

Well the cars used in the earlier series were most likely slower than the cars you are racing now. Slight contact at high speed can do a lot more damage than slight contact in lower speeds.

Its the same car in the same Series, I understand the cars do get faster as you progress. Meaning Race 1 of 6 the cars are easier to beat than in race 6 of 6

Just forget about GT series where it was very difficult not to win...
You don't win all the time IRL either.
I had several fantastic races where I did not even got on the podium.
Granted, the game sometimes plays some inexpected tricks on you, being the reason I disable penalties in the 24 hrs endurance races.

On DS4, PS4 Pcars ( about 4 hours of play ), no assist, with some tweaking on DS4, drives okay, nothing difficult compared to my usual no assist GT6 ( on DS2 ). Battle Gear 3 and D1 GP ( clutch mandatory ) on PS2 with DS2 was a lot harder

Just gave Jussi some Gr A homologation papers, hope it will be useful to improve Gr A cars in Pcars :) Anyone interested to try E30 Gr A setup aimed to be closer to the BMW Motorsport E30 M3 Gr A Manual/Catalog, check my sig, feedback welcomed.

I will give it a try let you know when I'm done.

I wonder how people are going to react when SMS tells them that for all the changes to take effect you need to delete your game save. I have heard a couple people saying it has helped some issues with the patches already released.

Thing is...your comment will most likely now travel the world-wide-web and eventually turn into a fact, people will be up-in-arms before its even released

Not to set your tinfoil hat on fire but if that would be the case, this change would be rather pointless:

* Fixed an issue with pre-DLC save games not unlocking DLC career content.
