To those who went from GT6 to pCARS: how steep was the learning curve for you?
Going from GT6 with a Logitech DFGT to pCARS with the Logitech DFGT was really about what I expected. I am "slower", relatively speaking, than I was in GT6, but I immediately felt competent as a driver. So I don't think there was much of a learning curve, so to speak.
But there are/were seemingly hundreds of nuances I could feel and sense which you would never get from GT6. So in that way, the difference is remarkable.

Just returned to project cars after playing f1 since release and it is some next level stuff in comparison, and i actually quite like f1 2015.

Can't wait to use the Bentley next season in career once the patch is released.

A few interesting pointers:
  • Each individual wheel’s tyre graphic will fade out from top to bottom to indicate the level of wear.
  • Players are now provided with information regarding current and upcoming weather
  • the Force Feedback Calibration screen now features a multiple force feedback profile selection system whereby the user can select a base FFB style that suits personal preference, and then tweak it further as desired.
There are some other really useful updates to this patch such as photomode in replays, friends leaderboards, track cutting detection and display of current tyre compound. Overall, I'm very happy with this patch! Would love to see pit-crews coming soon or some nice sort-of content upgrade. I've looked through it and wasn't fully sure if they addressed the red tyres in endurance yet which seems to be a big problem for many around here.

Doesn't look like it, oh wait didn't they say they fixed it in the last patch ;) maybe SMS don't think it's an issue anymore.

But is it something that happens often IRL?

Real life, we have staggered tires being intentionally fitted ( R33 GTR with wider rear, OEM had same width ), then some people fit different brand tires between front and rear :) A friend of mine did, long time ago, on GC8 WRX, front Falken Azenis RT615, rear Nankang or was it Kumho , less understeer, profit :P

An R33 that I used to drive, had rear Trampio R comp on 265/35/18 with front on harder comp Trampio 235/40/18, it was setup like that by the previous owner to balance the rock hard Blitz coilover and Nismo ARBs. It was expensive tire burner, so had to use same compound when the rear went out, and made some rear end adjustment to suit.

The rear R tire was scary on damp road or light drizzle, the rear wiggles even on 3rd gear easily  but sticks like a glue on hot tarmac.

Do the AI ever pit to change tyres for rain? I'm doing the second race in the Lotus 86 F1 and it starts raining just at the end of the first lap, the AI don't pit and as it's a really long pit lane I'm about half a lap behind.

If I don't pit the third lap the rain is so heavy I can't keep the car on the track .. it's literally undrivable no matter how much extra down force I put on.

Any tips or suggestions? Tried for about 3 hours last night.

If it starts raining within 2 mins into the race they start with wets on...after 2 mins and it rains they pit.

They must have crystal balls. I read in another thread that I shouldn't go slower in the rain but instead try to get more heat into the tyres..

Hello guys, I have a question:
Is it possible to get my hands on a PS4 copy of PCARS if I live in Asia? And if I do, will it work on a PS4 that's designated to work in Asia? I know there is the Steam version that's available worldwide, but I don't have a gaming PC.

I don't think there is a region lock.
My copy comes from Australia, and it works fine here in Belgium...

Cant you download it from PS store?

I gotta say, that Audi 90 IMSA Quattro is soo much fun to drive. Ruapuna has some great flow to it, can't find anything bad about it.

It's all good fun until you hit a rumble strip and achieve flight. Very easy to hit full afterburner vertical climb out on tracks with high curbs.

Something should be done about the scripted nature of the career.

It's a thunderstorm fest, waaaaaaay overdone, seems to be this way because the devs thought it'd be a great idea having 10 laps races going from bright sun to thunderstorm for the eye-candy.

It's boring, unrealistic, sad, infuriating, annoying and whatnot.

It's a mess. Someone, please, make this madness stop.
