Hey guys I'm most likely getting a PS3 by the end of this week, can you recommend a few games that I should get along with it?
Like LaBounti said, it really depends a lot on what type of games you like, as so much of rating games is purely subjective.
For instance, while Duck considers
MotorStorm a rental only, I find it has become the go-to game when the occasions is to just have fun on the PS3. What's more surprising is that I bought it for my nephews when they are over visiting, as it didn't look like anything I'd enjoy as I'm not normally a fan of arcade style racing games.
However, it has really grown on me, my wife, and our friends. We are constantly finding new paths and techniques using different vehicles, so the gameplay is as lengthy as you are willing to make it. Some friends and I even have come up with our own rules for races making it that much more fun.
And considering you probably joined this site because of Gran Turismo or some other console driving game, then
F1:CE should definitely be at the top of your to own list! It's a great racing game, with highly customizable settings, physics, and damage options. It's an amazing game, but the demo is very poor, so just skip it as it is not reflective of the actual game.
Games where there is a distinct storyline that once you finish there isn't much point to play it again, those I would consider rentals.
