Todays summary as a list.
-Came back off holiday, leaving 2 days to relax and get back to normal.
-Spent a few in game hours on a train.
-Got a part time Wednesday job as a sales assistant at Suburban (East coast highway one)
-Had a joy ride on his new Dirt Bike, but then a car T-Boned the side of Jacob and was badly hurt, but no broken bones, just a few cuts and scratches, but the bike is wrecked and awaiting repair.
-Had a night out with Jay Suprano at his place, beer and TV.

----END----

Henrik Koenisaab's RP Session #1

-Henrik decided to go for a several hour drive in his Albany Primo, buying a new set of clothes, and getting a new beard
----The clothes store was rather busy, and had several people in there.

-He made reservations at the hotel in Rockford Hills near Ponsonbys, and parked his car there.

-Henrik went for a 6am walk, and met a kind person named Diego Brookley who gave him a ride to the golf course, but had to leave abruptly, leaving him at the parking lot at the golf course. Diego was going to take Henrik to Cockatoos night club too. To bad he had to go.....

-Henrik called a Taxi to take him back to the hotel to get in his Primo and start driving around again.

-Henrik saw some mayhem going on, a bike and several cars were going extremely fast, he just wondered what these silly Americans got them selves into this time.

-He decided to go up north into Blaine and go offroading in his Bravado Bison.

-He destroyed his truck basically and ended up having to push it to LSC after the tow truck couldn't reach his location...

-He went offroading again, only to crash into a Canis, killing her with blood and gore knocking out a random lady(called 911, EMS couldn't reach location)

-He heard gun shots and wondered what all the commotion was about so he walked towards the noise.
----He asked what happened and was told by random person[snorevette] that they were just rock hunting. Something he never knew people did in Sweden, and was fascinated by it. Wasting ammo on inanimate objects.

-Two of them drove a very nice sports car back to LS, and the other two took a private helicopter, until the pilot got angry at the wait.
----So I offered to give them a ride in the half-wrecked Bison back to LS. They both got in, and I gave them rides back to their houses.

-One of them introduced himself to me, telling me his name is Craig, while the other person lost connection went into his house without saying a word. I introduced myself to Craig, and then I went back to the hotel at Rockford Hills, just to put my feet up and say 'what a day in LS'.

Henrik is still wondering what rock hunting is, and will definitely try it sometime.

Craig's RP Summary

As soon as Craig woke up, he started worrying about how he was going to find people to help on the UD Heist. Craig tried to get this off his mind by taking a trip down to Ponsonbys. As soon as he got there, he immediatly recognized Kenton Outway, who helped them on the bank heist, trying to defend a man who apparantly 'exposed' himself. Officer Young eventually came down to assist, but there wasn't much evidence to go on so it didn't do much.

As soon as Officer Young left, Jay (Who also helped him on the heist), started speaking rather suspiciously to Kenton, speaking about that "Thing" or the "Job". When Jay left, Craig introduced himself to Kenton and asked him if he was interested in a job. Kenton accepted, so Craig drove them both back to his place to explain the heist. It seemed Kenton didn't really care about the money. He was just fascinated by the amount of bloodshed that would probably occur. Kenton then left.

Craig then decided to ask Jay, as he handled himself pretty well on the bank heist. After explaining everything, Jay asked if Alex could come come along. This put Craig in a really tough position. If he said yes, he'd be backstabbing Marcello but if he said no, Alex and Jay would be on to them. After thinking, Craig had to say yes, but informed Marcello that Alex was a problem that needed to be taken care of now. Marcello agreed, and set up a meeting in the oil fields.

Craig arrived on his bike, where Marcello was still waiting for Alex. Marcello told him the signal for when he should start shooting. After waiting for a while, Alex finally arrived with Jay coming along. Marcello explained to Alex that he was a problem that need to be taken care of. Marcello then proceeded to smack Alex in this face with the end of his gun, provoking Jay who smacked Craig in the face with his gun shoot at Alex while Craig started firing at Jay, making them retreat back to the car. When they were escaping, a stray bullet must have caught Alex, as the vehicle crashed and started burning. Marcello then told Craig that they were done, and left in his car. Craig left also.

After a while, Craig received a text from Marcello telling him to meet him at the Blaine County airfield. Craig, Kane and Dougie all arrived and went over behind the airfield to start some rock hunting target practice. They all shot, but it was clear that Kane needed to most training. Craig, Marcello and Dougie started teaching him how to use a pistol, shotgun and assault rifle. Kane seemed to think the recoil was pretty fierce, but Marcello insisted he'd get better. Once it started raining, everyone went home. Kane and Dougie headed home in their own cars and Craig called a helicopter. Tired of the wait, the helicopter left, which made a random stranger (Henrik Koenisaab) ask Marcello and Craig if they wanted a ride home. Without any mode of transportation around, they had to accept.

Once Henrik dropped Craig off home, he introduced himself and so did Henrik. Craig thanked him and headed back inside. Craig sat down and turned on the TV. A lot had happened today and Craig needed some time to get over it...

RP Summary - Kenton Outway:

It was rather busy in Ponsonbys at Rockford hills with several characters from the RP browsing at the clothes. Kenton overhears Alex Greene requesting for a special pair of shorts/trousers (whatever it was) that would suit his "large package"...

Kenton: STATEMENTS WITH NO JUSTIFICATION ARE INVALID. IF YOU ARE SO CONVINCED THAT YOU HAVE A MASSIVE PACKAGE, DROP YOUR PANTS AND SHOW IT!"
Probably to the surprise of everyone, Alex does so. Kenton inspected it and is satisfied - letting Alex off the hook. Ashley Jackson calls the police in response to seeing Alex exposing himself with Kenton defending Alex that he was only trying to prove a point. Alex had already fled the scene before Officer Young arrives at the scene, and does no further action due to lack of evidence. Jay Suprano greets and chats to Kenton.

Jay: Don't you remember me from the [leans in] robbery? I MEAN. UHH.
Kenton: Hm? AAAH. YES! I DEFINITELY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. WINK WINK.
Jay: HAHA YEAH. THAT.
[Craig facepalms]
Kenton: SURE WAS GOOD FUN, WASN'T IT MATE?
Jay: [To self] Oh sheeet.

[To Kenton] YEAH MAN. WAS A GREAT AFTERNOON.

After a bit more chatting, Jay leaves Ponsonbys. Kenton was also about to take his leave when Craig Murray invites Kenton to his house to plan another operation. Listening to the briefing, Kenton is interested. Not due to the possibility of being rich, but rather the chance of creating a gigantic blood bath during the operation which greatly satisfies Kenton.

Kenton: This reminds me of a dream I once had, did an armored truck operation with some mad Irishman. Maaan. That was a good dream.

Of course, Kenton accepts the job and Craig asks him to try to find more people for the job. Kenton suggests that he organises a Kenton apprentice programme.

...

Kenton discovers that the fairground rides at the pier are open and quickly makes his way there. Surprisingly, not a single blood was spilt. Instead, Kenton decides to wind down by hopping onto the ferris wheel. He laments that he wanted to take someone to the ferris wheel, but it just didn't happen. Taking in the scenery of Los Santos, a song plays inside the carriage he's in...

Time passes by meaninglessly.
I realised when I tried to figure out what happened...
The laughter has faded into the distance.
I can no longer hear them
Tears are flowing...
I would had quickly discarded this intolerable tomorrow,
if I knew that the future was going to end up like this.
I’m hiding alone in a place where I can’t hear anything.
Even if I understand the reason behind the tears of this grim world.
Even if I understand the reason behind the countless irrationality of the world.
I probably will never figure out the meaning
behind spending my days like this.
Time presses on...
Deciding that he has seen enough of the scenery, he gets out of the ferris wheel.

RP Summary - Marco Kane:

[I recommend that you read the previous Kane summaries to understand his current situation. Since it is on the last page, I have embedded it in this quote.]

After taking his leave from the conversation with Dougie McGregor at the Kortz Center, Kane went to visit cancer suffering Aunt Erin's house as promised to check up on how she's doing. Aware that she is too weak to open the door for Kane, he knocked in a unique way that would allow her to recognise that Kane is at the door before going in. Entering the house, he noticed a substantial pile of letters all addressed to Aunt Erin at his feet. Taking a quick browse, he spotted a few utility bill letters that he will need to help Aunt Erin to pay but he places the letters aside for later. Smelling something odd in the air, he also briefly visited the kitchen to throw away anything that has already expired and check for items nearing expiration. Mentally noting the items that are almost out of date, which he will use in a dish for Aunt Erin to eat, Kane heads upstairs and heads towards Aunt Erin's bedroom. He opens the door, and sees Aunt Erin lying in bed with a very noticeable blood stain on the blanket. Shaking vigorously and without realising, he sprints closer to the bed and inadvertently sees everything: Aunt Erin's eyes were still wide open, possibly from the moment of death, but had sunken into her skull. Her skin was a green-blue colour instead of the pearl white skin Kane was so used to see, and huge blisters of skin had formed (some of which had already bursted open). Scanning down the body, Kane notices a familiar object thrusted into where her chest would be. Still trembling, he takes it out and identifies it as a knife and its blade had already been stained by Aunt Erin's blood. His brain attempts to crank into gear to figure out how this could have all happened, then Kane notices the window to the room. Shattered. Kane barely manages to call 911, before he passes out from trauma.

...

Kane is lying on his bed, still dazed. But a buzz to his apartment snapped him out of his reverie. Wondering who on earth would want to visit him at this time, he struggles out of bed and checks on the door. It turns out to be Dougie McGregor, the person he was talking to at the Kortz Center, who wanted to catch up with Kane. Not wanting to turn down the request, Kane invites him in, gets him a drink and sits down with him to have a chat. There, Kane tells Dougie that his Auntie had been murdered with Dougie offering consultation for Kane. Having already avenged for his sister, who fortunately survived the attack, Dougie suggests that Kane avenges for his auntie. Of course, much preparation must be done as this is a high risk task. Kane has never used a gun before and Dougie mentions that Kane is in no form to handle the recoils on them. Kane also suggests that they should contact Marcello as he seemed to know about guns, having seen him use it the time at the pier. They manage to get hold of him, and they arrange a meeting for preparations...

The time has come. Dougie McGregor visits Kane's apartment to give him a lift to Sandy Shores Airfield where they would be meeting both Marcello Fennelley and Craig Murray. After a brief stop for fuel and some traffic on the highway, they arrive at the location and they head towards a desert area full of rocks to do some target practice on. Marcello gives Kane a pistol to practice with and demonstrates how to operate a gun, shoot and reload it. First attempt: Kane carefully aims the pistol, but is blown upwards from the recoil and actually misses the rock (it was relatively big so it would be near impossible to miss). Marcello decides to support Kane for the second shot, which is interrupted by a familiar tick from Kane's pistol. Slightly confused why it didn't shoot, Marcello inspects the gun and informs Kane that it is out of ammo and that he should reload it. Kane takes the gun back to reload it successfully and prepares for another shot. While he was blown upwards due to the recoil once again, he manages to just about strike the rock though it was far from the center. He decides to aim downwards to compensate for the recoil for the next shot, which goes through a tree before striking the bottom of the rock. Marcello declares that Kane needs much practice with Dougie adding that he should develop the muscles so that he can cope with the recoil better. Next, Dougie shows Kane how to fire a shotgun, with the sheer force and noise making Kane jump. Craig then demonstrates how to use an assault rifle, with Kane mesmerised by his gun control as he barely flinched on each shot. Lastly, Marcello shows Kane a sniper and fires a shot at the rock which greatly scares Kane, once again due to the force and sound of the shot. At that point, it started to rain with the 4 men declaring it a day before heading off. Dougie gives Kane a lift back to his apartment. It will be a long road for Kane to master the gun...

I might host the lobby just in case. Don't have everyone added, though
EDIT: Nevermind. Probably will be a little late.

I can't make it just yet, my PS3 has been huffing and puffing over the heat for some time now so I better let it cool down.

If the lobby goes up, ill go on GTA, but given previous lobby records, ill stay on GT6 because its looking like there wont be one, again...

I'm aware that a good amount of events never happen, but actually the last two or three have been pretty much packed. I say in the OP that "If there is something in the way, I'm not going to put Grand Theft Auto first", and that's 100% true. Even if it may not seem too important to other people, or if it's something that can probably wait 'till another time, I will still push back the lobbies, or not host them all together, until the real-life situation is handled. I have also apologized for this in the past, but apologies can only go so far and I will still have to avoid hosting a lobby for whatever reason at whatever time.

I respect that, i agree that real life should come before video games, but there are some who look forward to a good chilled out RP event after a hard day etc, so i think there should be a backup host. Now i have heard you tried that before, but from what i understand that went into multiple lobbies, im not suggesting that im just saying the should be someone who can open the lobby up before you get there or if you cant get on at all.

I would love to have someone to back me up on events, but I'll be honest, it's quite the pain in the ass. You have to add everyone, then create a chat room, then invite the people to the chat, then start up a GTA lobby, then invite them to that, and then keep up with who comes online so they get invited too instead of being left out. I feel bad when I can't host events, and I'd be so grateful if someone would take up that roll, but I don't see that happening.

I'd be perfectly happy to help out if it's needed.

You would? I'd have to count on you to help me out with rooms when I'm running late or I can't make it. I'm sure you already have a lot of the members added already. You sure you'd do it? I'd be very thankful.

Sure. There will probably be times when I can't start a lobby on a certain day since I still haven't quite found a completely consistent method of connecting yet (I can usually fix it now but it takes an hour or so), but other than that I'm generally not doing anything that would stop me from hosting a lobby and I'm usually on GTA anyways.
There are a few people I don't have added, I'll go through the members list tomorrow and add everyone that I don't already have. So should I only make a room when you specifically say in advance 'I'll be late/unavailable' or should I make one if it's been, say, an hour since the specified time and there are enough people online?

Perhaps both? Sometimes I cannot gain access to GTP, so I won't always give everyone a heads up. About an hour after scheduled time sounds like a good time to set up a lobby, long as there is enough people. Thanks you!

Trying to figure out if i might join or not... Never done this before :nervous:
Don't worry. Before joining I also had zero RP experience and at the time I was also in the same situation as you - "Should I join? But I don't even have any RP experience...". I'll try to help out as much as I can, but please do ask in the thread if there's something you don't understand. I'm sure other members and the host @Pinkintron can help you out too.

I think penning up your RP character is probably the part that requires the most thought as, after all, you'll be RPing as this character for quite a while so it is important to have a good idea on how they talk, think, their qualities etc. . Are they manipulative? Are they emotionally insecure? Are they willing to kill someone and if yes, why? Those kinds of things. The OP has a useful guide which you could read to help you to create your character. It also has other stuff that may be useful for the RP. You could always take inspiration from games, films, books, maybe even cartoons and anime. Writing the application shouldn't be too tricky as long as you have a good idea on your character's background story which will set up the character for the upcoming events on the sessions. You could take a look at other people's applications to get a good idea on how to structure it.

For when you actually join the session, you could try to find a way to communicate with the other characters. Maybe you're asking for directions, or trying to look for a job, or even witnessed another RP character brutally murder someone though this really depends on how your character behaves. Just try not to make it too awkward, make it seem natural. Of course, you will need to stay in character as much as possible while you are in the session though this should be pretty easy since you planned the character out so all you really need to do is think like your character. Remember, your character isn't (necessarily) you so you shouldn't hold back doing things that aren't like yourself (though having said that, there is a limit but I'm sure you are aware of it). RPing on the session is generally done on the fly, so you'll need to come up with ideas on the spot. If this is tricky, maybe try to think how your character would react to [insert] situation. If you manage to meet someone on the session, treat this as a normal relationship in real life so meet up to have a chat or plan a heist. Something along the lines.

After the RP sessions, it would be a good idea to keep track of what happened on the session as it can give you an idea on what to do for the next session. A few people here tend to write summaries for their characters after the RP which I find nice to read.

...I think that's it but I'm pretty sure I've missed out a lot of things. I might edit this post in time as more advice comes to my brain or if someone adds to my mini guide but I hope this has helped you. If not, I'm sure someone else can help you.

Ninja Edit: Just in case you're wondering, you don't have to create 2 characters for the RP at once. I'm... A special case.
