I'm headed to a car show today. I should be back in time for the event - if not, can Doog, Volch, or someone else trustworthy host I? I'll most likely be back by the time it starts till kick in.

The event today is scheduled to happen in about four minutes; I'll be available for about four more hours if anyone wants a lobby during that time.

Unfortunately I don't have many members added, but I'll get online and see if any other members are on. If so, I'll make a chat and a lobby, etc.

And I just logged off. :ouch: For some reason I haven't officially joined the club, but I always join the lobbies.

Anyone who'd like to join the chat will have to send me a friend request; I'll clear some space on my list in anticipation.

The RP so far - Marco Kane:

In the preceeding RP session, Kane took part in a mini car gathering. He then met the drivers at the pier where they learned that he is a racing driver relaxing in Los Santos during the off-season.

In today's session, he took a quiet stroll at the beach when a gang started attacking him from under the pier. Kane, along with a helpful good samaritan, took out the gang members. Said samaritan turned out to be Owen "Goodman" (no pun intended?) who decided to pay Marco a visit in his appartment.

There, they had a brief conversation with Owen asking Kane about the gang's motives. Kane claims that it is due to his wealth as many people in the already rough Los Santos attack others for such shallow reasons anyway. Afterwards, Owen (out of curiosity) checked Kane's garage and notices a lone cop car sitting at the corner of the garage. Understandably, he asks if Kane is an officer of some sort but Kane recorrects him saying that he is only a race driver and the cop car was only "acquired".

The session concluded not long after. But a glaring question has only formed...

I thought it would be nice to write the story so far for Kane. I think he has started to develop, and tomorrow's RP may be interesting for the character if the opportunity presents itself.

Sorry I haven't joined the last couple of lobbies. I had to work with my dad. I might have some stuff to do tomorrow but hopefully I can join.

Is it alright if I join the next RP session (that I can actually join in the first place, of course) to see if I should make a new application or not?

Well Next Time i can join is Monday. Because well these idiots put me in the Bad Sports Lobby.
I haven't planned anything further than Sunday, but I will soon. And, what idiots?

Of course! Best to see if you seem ready and fit than not. :)

Well, I was cruising in ma tank. And then the whole lobby decides to ram the rear of the tank blowing up there car... And i then became a bad sport.

Sorry I haven't been very active here lately, it's been a busy week at school. I've decided I'll be replacing Erin with a different character, as I just don't feel like she's interesting enough for me to carry on with her, plus there's another character I have in mind that I've used in other non-GTA RPs before that would be a lot more fit for a world like the GTA world. :P

This second character is a guy, however, so I hope that's alright? I know when I briefly had a male character in IV a lot of you were surprised and confused.

His bio is long so have your attention spans at the ready. I realise he may sound a little bit like Michael at times, but I can assure you, this is only by chance as I created this fella in December of last year.

In Character (IC)
Name:
Harrison "Butch" Butcher
Age: 44
Job/Career/Money Source: FIB Agent
Bio: Harrison, or "Butch" as he prefers to be called, was raised in the concrete jungle of London, England. He had a harsh childhood, as his father was abusive and his mother was so riddled with drugs she was in no state to raise a child. At the age of 5, Butch was taken away from his parents by the local authority and put into foster care. Throughout his childhood he went through many foster homes and never settled in any of them, always being handed back to the care homes for being 'too difficult'. As he began to reach adolescence he mixed in with the wrong crowds and got involved with the gang warfare that ruled the streets of Hackney, London's 'ghetto', if you will. In 1985, at the age of 16, he enlisted into the British Army, where he spent the next 6 years of his life. He fought in Ireland against the IRA and fought in Iraq for the duration of the Gulf War, until in 1991 when he was just 22, he was kicked out of the army for reasons still unknown to him. With no friends or family to go back to, he collected his pension from the army and restarted his life back in London, buying a small city apartment for himself and signing up for the police department.

In 1996, aged 27, he was made a detective in the police force and in that same year he got married, his wife giving birth to twin girls the following year. After their marriage, his wife was difficult and day by day their arguments were getting worse. Butch surrounded himself with his work which was something his wife could never accept, and this was only made worse when Butch was offered to join the Secret Service in 2000. Butch was now away from home for months at a time, going on missions he couldn't tell his wife about and not seeing his daughters grow or seeing them on their first day of school. Butch and his wife started to get along less and less, and in 2003 they divorced, his wife winning full custody of the girls. Unable to cope with the guilt, Butch began to spiral out of control and on one night took an unknown drug that he was told would 'make him feel better about it all'. It was quite the opposite, and caused Butch to attack his former home where his ex-wife and daughters were, breaking in and threatening his ex-wife. This resulted in a restraining order against his ex-wife and daughters, and not being able to see them until they were 18. He escaped further punishment by his crooked boss bribing the police, and he moved Butch over to America to try and move on. He was moved to Los Santos and transferred to the FIB, where he continued to be a detective and secret agent, just like he was in the UK. He now fights a constant battle with the bottle as well as criminals, is addicted to chicken nuggets, and is often found sat at a bar with a glass of whiskey.

Personality: Outside of his job, Butch is quiet, grumpy and angry. He'll talk if he needs to, but if not, he keeps himself to himself. He doesn't like talking about his past or answering a common question of, "How'd you get those scars?". He often walks around with the same angry, bitter expression. He's not rude, but he's not polite either. He's also a very neat person, a trait developed from time in the military. He's a crooked cop, and has never liked playing by the rules, resulting in his merciless attitude towards criminals.

Sounds like a good idea for how future sessions might develop.

Here's Dario's story so far:

In a previous RP session, Dario decided to go to a car meet down at the pier in Vespucci Beach after hearing about it on LifeInvader. He met other drivers and learned a bit about them, including a brief look into Marty Burkhart's past when he saw Dario's Futo. He then came across David Foley and Blake Robinson in a bar near Sandy Shores where they had some beers for a while.

In the session 2 days ago, Dario decided to text David to see if he knew people who could find him a job. David said he could help but the job in question was to be done in a "less than legal" way. Dario told him he would do whatever it would take to make some money as he claimed he had the driving skills to show for it. The two of them decided to meet up at the pier in Vespucci Beach to discuss things. After David asked him about gun experience, Dario revealed he had been to the firing range a few times. David told Dario that the plan was to rob a store and that Dario would receive the full cut. The initiation run was a success as Dario proved his driving skills were up to the task. On the way back to David's apartment, he told Dario he would let him know if something big would come up.

I would like to join but nth of my character slots are filled with high level characters with amazing cars and über amounts of money. I might use my secondary PSN account for this. I'll post my application when I get on a computer (using iPod ATM)

I like the idea of a brief overview of what happened to a specific character during the past few RPs.

Shortly after trading his Stanier in for a Ruiner, Marty heard about a car meet at Vespucci Beach through some friends. He went and met a couple people, but didn't really converse to much. He talked to Jeff Willis and Dario McAllister for a bit, reminiscing about his teen years upon seeing Dario's Futo. Meanwhile, work was becoming more busy, and a low slung muscle car was proving to be pretty impractical for his needs, prompting Marty to purchase a black Bobcat as a daily driver. He attended a second meet at the same place a few days later, where he further got to know Jeff Willis, and also met Cameron Burnett and Marco Kane. Later that week, Marty went to the pier later that week on an off-day and ran into Jeff and talked with him for quite a while, eventually getting fast food and dirtying up a mysterious city bus.

Another meet came and went, with Marty continuing to get to know of his newfound acquaintances. Jeff took Marty up for a drive to a house by the lake he was hoping to rent, and the day ended in Jeff renting said house. The visit gave Marty the idea of moving away from the city; he could certainly afford to now. Not too long after, he made the drive to Paleto Bay to look at a small house for rent, and he decided to bite the bullet and go for it. He enlisted Jeff for help moving, but while they were packing things into the Bobcat and a borrowed Picador, an acquaintance named Scotty showed up and offered his help as well. The three drove up to Paleto Bay and moved things in, then ordered pizza and met a stranger named Tyrone. By now, the Ruiner wasn't being driven much, and Marty was starting to enjoy his brief time with the Picador. He bought it from his friend and repainted it soon after, and sold the Ruiner.

Later on, he drove to a deal in East Los Santos, where a gangster posing as an undercover policeman held him at gunpoint and escorted him into his SUV, where Marty joined two other gangsters. They requested directions to Marty's supplier, and he did so, valuing his life. When the three went into the basement to help themselves to the stash, Greg, Marty's supplier got two shotguns for Marty and himself from under a bed. Greg held the gangsters at gunpoint and took their measly pistols, instructing Marty to make their vehicle disappear, in case a boss started looking for the three. Marty drove the gangsters' Seminole to his house in Paleto Bay and grew to like the SUV. With the help of Lester, he got a VIN number from a different Seminole and registered it as a different vehicle and got new plates for it. It is now his daily driver.

It kind of sucks being the only police officer. I have to drive back and forth just to find something going on..
