Which part of the lap was you unsure about? Whole lap looked really clean to me.

well... this sucks.... I'm pretty sure my brake pedal is shot. And GT5 is too idiotic to let us re-assign the axis so I can't just use the clutch as a brake. No way I'm going to get another load cell shipped out for tomorrow. (lots of use and routine maintenance over the years caused the epoxy that holds the sensor onto the frame of the load-cell to crack, going to try a ghetto hot-glue fix but I doubt it will work)

tl;dr ... the racing gods don't want me to have fun at monza.

nope... as expected. sensor is eff'd; gotta get a replacement. I did notice that the PCB plugs for clutch gas brake are all identical and people have been known to swap the clutch and gas ones when mounting clubsports inverted, so for giggles I swapped the brake and clutch, and that works. So I've got a less than ideal temporary fix using the 3rd pedal as a brake. Have to put everything back together and see how hard it is to get used to.

Looks like Monza qualifying is getting to a lot of drivers.

Q was an absolute disaster and it's Russian roulette with those chicanes, but it's quite funny how most can turn in really good carefree laps in practice. It would be a piece of p*** if the visibility was good. Anyway, congratulations to those who held their nerve with good times.

The only consolation is that maybe Niss, Lozza, Stretch and myself will have a nice little race in D2 tomorrow!

It was the Lesmos section for me. Lost at least two tenths with bad entries.

Direct that question to Tim (TnJF) because I don't appear to have an option to add drivers to the site.

Entrance to ascari on lap 3 , i called it clean, if you agree then its good to go i guess

Yep looked clean. 👍

Thanks, but Ascari was never in doubt. It's the second chicane where it's really close.

He hasn't made a user yet. Apparently didn't read the PM Wardez sent out last week.

I think what makes the chicanes so hard is that you have to commit before you can clearly see where the kerbs are with peripheral vision. By the time I've fumbled around deciding where the car is to be placed, the second kerb is right there..and it's too late to do anything about it. Looks like you hooked it them up well though.

Thanks for the advice - I signed up to the Pure site last week, so I'll speak to Tim to see if he can get it sorted.

I've now updated the Pure profile which needs approved. Thanks.

PS:- Do you race RC cars by any chance?

unless you registered as a user name completely different than mirial you're not in the database. I just scanned it for *iri* and didn't find you.

This is why I don't like Monza. Lap times is too much dependent on how much curb you take. I really have to force myself to take much more curb than feels natural, or lap times goes down the tank.

when you post some digits I'll be around, I should probably go too.

on second thought, i'm tired.... probably just get up early.

Aw, looks like I missed you. I'll have to find an early rising European I suppose.

I'll be in this room waiting:
1472-4710-9995-5394-7337

And remember, since I'm a marshal, anyone can observe my qualifying, just not any of my team mates. So I'd really appreciate it if someone could pop into the room soon to help me out :D
