Division 2:

Starting P2 is always a gift @ spa, easy draft pass and cold tire runaway. My Early lead lasted a while as mirial warmed up his tires and battled chasers... then he shook off train behind and closed in like a mad man doing 14.2's; Couldn't match that early pace and he went by and I made mistakes in the dirty air... ended up barely holding onto a +4s gap by the first stop.

He went for a 1-stop... so I took the free 15L and ran quali laps to make the most of the low-fuel middle stint with lots of 2:14's and favorable traffic. Had -40s when I pulled in on 30 for the long fuel and new shoes. Took 60L and came out +11s after the cold out lap. At that point it was in the bag... reeled him in by .5-1s per lap and then proceeded to lap everyone up to 7th place by the checker.

I didn't go fast but I didn't make big mistakes either.
Pretty solid and fun enduro which ended up being a nice F1 style battle on the clock and strategy side rather than wheel to wheel. Most of the time we were racing eachother completely out of sight.

Just a very erratic race for me again.

Things started off a little bit shaky with TnJF getting past and maintaining the lead for the opening laps. I got into a rhythm and I was then able to take the lead and then build up a small cushion. It seemed a good enough idea to try a one stop at the two stop window so I proceeded, but the laps towards the end of the stint were interrupted by the urge to use the lavatory....the thought of a nice long pit stop and doing the unthinkable only made the problem worse! This is probably a first at a sanctioned GT500 event. After all the jokes we have made about it as well.

Having got that out of the way, the squash ball then started to come away under the brake pedal, so I spent the next few laps just trying to get it back in place on the straights. It was never quite right thereafter, and I was just losing out too much with the loss in brake pressure and inconsistency for the remainder of the race.

It soon became clear that one stop wasn't the right thing to do, despite one stopping being a good strategy at similar GT500 races here before, and I wasn't able to challenge TnJF in defence.

Looking forward to Suzuka :)

lol mirial, what a story. You're a trooper. I'm sure we all have stories like that most of us wouldn't care to disclose... :D

anyone have D1 result screens? I'd like to get the scores up asap so everyone knows where they stand going into the final week.

Anyone notice the timing?

The D1 is finished at 1:42:58, Tim finished 1st in D2 @ 1:42:59! (I know it's not accurate, but still neat)

Good luck in the finale @ Suzuka next week guys.

I'm 50% likely to race next week. I will practice and Q and see how I feel about racing (GT6 will be here)

I can't retire from GT5 with a DC!

Lozza cutting through the arden forest like a lumberjack #RapLikeLilWayne

Oh god xD I don't know whether to ban you for Lil Wayne or the WWII reference.

Great racing yesterday and again like almost every race this season an epic fight in the last laps for podium!

I didn't think a podium was possible for me starting from 10th place. But my first stint was great, I was lucky with the slip game so I found myself in a good position before pitting for the first time. I saw many went for a 3 stopper so you coudn't know the out come.

On the last stint 5 cars both 2 and 3 stoppers were in 1 second lol! I was leading this pack but I made a mistake before race, forgot to change oil...that cost me 20hp, only had 493hp after race. So everyone passed me easily on straights and at that point I said I got no chance to get the podium spot. But 2 laps to go, guys in front wanted to go 3 wide in Les Combes, obviously that didn't work and I took andvantage that got me up to 4th. On the last lap even with an underpowered car made the pass on Cemel for 3rd. Had to block hard in last chicane Lozza and Spurgy were coming at me fast but I somehow managed to keep 3rd place! Again awesome racing in the last laps maybe even a bit to crazy at times. I hope they fix the slip in GT6 becouse some of the passing is just far from real..

Congratz to Jtown again, nice drive! Shame for Tony, had some bad luck. Also bad luck for Tomzon...was expecting a better resultr after his stunning Q lap!

My plan for final round in Suzuka is to Q before GT6 comes out, than hop in for the race on Sunday. I hope we get a good number of people racing. Can't see a big number tbh..

Miral is the Suzuka king, no way will he miss it! I will be there most likely, I think we will have enough for a send off race

It's only toilet humour - all it takes is for someone to set the ball rolling and a few more will join in! Someone usually has to step in otherwise it goes too far. Having said that, I'm not an advocate of people appearing on TV with embarrassing physical problems which the UK now regards as ok.

Was i the only ntsc driver in d1 race at spa ? If so ill upload the replay tonight.

Also for gt6 ill be getting a pal copy , cant wait for a ntsc to be shipped to me .

Did you host? I need all the results information. Bart posted the fast laps for the 10 people that finished but I need all the DNF's and total times. Rich has been getting this but I'm getting the distinct impression that no one covered for him and we don't have a shot of the results screen. :/

Checking the replay, these are the positions from 11th to 15th.

11th . Stretchy (DC lap33)
12th - MarcoM95 (DC lap 24)
13th - PhaedrusSocrates (DC lap 20)
14th - Tony (DC lap 19)
15th - tpe-rus (DNS connection issues)

Why are you getting two copys?

No only getting one , the pal version.

I meant im getting the pal version because the shipping time for ntsc would be too long . I want to be playing friday

Thanks, I'll also need their best lap times. And the finishing time for the winner so I can calculate everyone else based on the gaps in Bart's screenshot.

edit: never mind that last bit, I just noticed that he's got Tomzon selected in that SS so I can work backward from there to get finish times.

I checked the replay for the start and finish times.

Tony's first lap (warm up lap) - 3'39.619
Tony starts the race - 4'14.200 (give or take a tenth)
J-Town finishes the race - 1:41'45.174

Easier way to figure out total run time is pause right after the leader crosses the line. Even though their race is over, the game is still displaying a running lap time. Just need to subtract that value from the run time displayed on screen.
