No problem Alex. Smallest of taps and you did the right thing. All good and some great racing by you again today, especially the podium in the sprint race. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

I'm glad! If there's one thing I hate more than making a mistake which hurts my chances is making a mistake that hurts somebody else's chances! So I cringed at that moment. Fortunately you managed to get a strong result on that race! đź‘Ť . And thanks :)

Tim, did we include the best laps and quali points in the total standings for D1?

we don't have the lap times from D2 so we don't know if anyone there got faster laps than the D1 race.
Also need to know what lap people d/c'd on.

Small correction to Litchi's times for Race 2.

PureGT_Muzz gap +19.121 not +18.121
I have Minion07 completing all laps. His gap is +41.607 so no DNF. Sorry I don't have his total time.

Can someone confirm all this please.

New Ballast Figures

Aderrrm (p1)60 + (p2)40 = 100
SuperSic (p2)40 + (p3)20 = 60
The Outlaw 0 + (p1) 60 = 60
bluesix (p2)40 +/- 0* = 40

*bluesix didn't race so he keeps his weight from round1

So here's my report on the race, bit late, but yeah:

First of all, I was chuffed to be starting 4th, in front of so many fast drivers. I honestly thought my last quali was a one-off and that'd I be at the back of the pack this time round. Instead I somehow achieved the opposite and managed a personal best time, I don't know how but my qualifying form has really improved. Anyway, before the race we were having room problems. I tried resetting my router before I joined which seemed to make my connection more solid, but like others have said, GT5 seemed to be having server issues, and anyone was at risk of dc'ing.

Managed to get a good start, just after sector 1 in the first few corners, seemed to be a minor incident between Red and TA (I think), as Red slowed down a lot, which I only noticed when I passed him :dunce: Sorry if I took advantage there, wanted to slow back down but by the time I got past slowing down I felt would have lost me a few positions. Tony managed to slip past as well, so the aliens were together again, and I was just holding onto their draft as I hadn't got up to speed yet. As the laps progressed, the aliens gradually pulled away, while I kept Red and Welsh a good distance behind me, but not really pulling away. Eventually I saw one of my pursuers, Welsh, slip up on the dirty stuff at the end of the long left-hander in Sector 2, giving me a little bit of space to flex my wheels :sly: I kept Red at an arm's distance from me, out of my draft, up until around lap 7, where he was just starting to use my draft. Eventually I reached my first pit stop on lap 9, just ahead of Red.

For my second stint, I tried to use my tires to their full potential as I had one less lap on them due to my strategy. Unfortunately, just after I was starting to churn out some good sector times, I put a wheel on the kerb on the outside of the right-turn just before the start of Sector 3 (a corner I have had a number of problems with during practice), which for some reason made the car unstable and start to spin into the gravel. Red was way past me but I had just started to get back on track as Welsh caught to me, slowing down so he did not hit me, whilst Denilson flew past. I felt pretty degraded after that, when I was in such a good position. GV27 caught up, so me, him and Welsh had a small battle in the coming laps. Eventually we came up to the right-left-right at the start of Sector 2 on another lap, and just as I had my nose to the left of Welsh's rear, he turned in and gave me a slap on the front, causing me to plough into the gravel. No ill feelings but I was just really gutted and felt like this was another race I had wasted. I found the motivation to keep going though, and tried to track them back down. I pitted on lap 17, 1 lap after Welsh and 1 lap before GV. My memory is a bit hazy here but I think I had a short battle with GV after our pitstops, and managed to get past quickly. Then, my aim was to chase down Welsh with a number of consistent laps. And I almost did it. I pushed myself to the edge at times, although backing off sometimes as well as I did not want to have another spin. I could see I was catching up fairly quickly, until the last lap where I was around 2 seconds off him. Capped off a frustrating race really as if I pushed a little harder and was more consistent I may have caught up to Denilson as well, as he was not far ahead of Welsh. Congratulations to Timeattack on the win anyway, and another great drive from the aliens đź‘Ť My sympathy goes out to Red, who dc'd midway through in a great position.

Second race I made a stupid mistake early on, spinning Welsh out on Eau Rouge, I just didn't anticipate him being slower than me. I maintain that I am willing to take a penalty for that. I slowed down a bit after that anyway and allowed the aliens at the back to pass me easy. I saw Aderrrm pit early, and guessed that everyone else would follow him in within the next few laps. I decided to stay out as my tires were still in good condition until around lap 5. This worked out very well, as except Aderrrm, I was in front of the pack, but only just. That only lasted very shortly though, as in my naivety I took the right-left-right corner with too much speed, sliding and catching the dirt, resulting in a spin. Again, gutted, but I kept going. I knew I could still catch back up, but once again, I would need some good laps. Eventually this time I caught up to Denilson and managed to pass him on the last lap to take 5th.

Anyway, I'd like to apologise to everyone who has endured my constant moaning over the past few weeks. I've had some tough races recently in different series', and I've just found it tough seeing people have great races while I've had mine either spoilt or messed up by my own mistakes. It has really lowered my motivation recently. Yesterday however, despite the mistakes, I feel has been a step in the right direction. I'm starting to get gradually faster every week (in no small part thanks to NOSS' great tunes), and my racing prowess is starting to improve. My consistency was by no means perfect this weekend, but it was better than it has been in a while. Looking forward to Nurburgring GP next week, a track I kinda dislike but at which I've had some good races, hopefully I can finally get the good result I've been craving. See you all next week đź‘Ť

Even though i felt like ****, Spa race has to be a success considering the disadvantage the GT-R has compared to the NSX. Seeing the schedule though, i noticed that i won't be fighting for any wins anywhere except for Monaco.

I didn't have the chance to compare the cars in the pre-races as i didn't have a wheel at the time, but didn't anyone notice that the NSX is more than a tad faster on the straights? The tire wear which could balance this difference, seems to be equal from what i saw in the past 2 races. And not only that, but when the tires are worn, The GTR's advantage in cornering speeds fades, while the straight line speed advantage of the NSX remains the same.

I believe there is still something to be tweaked here in order to achieve parity between the cars. I would like especially Brock and Adam to share their opinion on this matter, as they are my most direct competitors and i highly value their opinion.

Well, I was only thinking that more weight (hence more rubber wear) might bring a better parity but we get a chance to really see that theory work out as the top guys start clipping on more ballast.

But the NSX definitely suffers through Nurb. GP, Nordschleife, and Monaco. We have those tracks at a big advantage and they have Monza, Le Mans, and Indianapolis. I believe that while they do have more of an advantage in qualifying at Spa and Suzuka that the tire wear really brings them easily back into play once the race starts at those two. So it's a careful sort of balance, but definitely more for the NSX drivers to lose than any other way. And as we saw at Suzuka, mostly terrifyingly ill-tempered machines to keep on the straight and narrow.

What about the Castrol Supra? Which track should the car be suited to? :)
Just curious really. I'd say something like Nurb. GP or Monaco but...

As the tires fade, the NSX's are even slower than the GT-R in the corners imo.

If we look at equal drivers, like tony1311 and Brock, we can see that the difference in lap times is down to tenths of a second.
It's not possible to get the cars closer than that if you ask me.
The NSX is not close as balanced as the GT-R, SC430 and Z either. There's also much better front grip in the 50/50 cars. The NSX is a rewarding car, but it can def bite you if you're sloppy..

The more inbalanced nature of the NSX justifies those 2-3 tenths a lap difference.
I know you wanted opinions from the other aliens, but this is my opinion for what it's worth.

I spoke to Aderrrm during our 3 weeks of testing, and he said to me that he thought the specs was excellent.

As everything in GT5, it's hard to get things right to 100%. Same as some of our rules and regulations.
As we keep on creating more championships, we can improve with the help of our experiance.
If we start up another season, we have this one to look at, and perhaps make some small tweaks to the regs and specs.

But as we are running this now is as close and tight as we could get. By looking at the diverety in the wishlist among the drivers, we can tell that all cars was desireable.
Not one single driver got a car outside his first 2 choices.
Actually, some did, but the car he was assigned was still in the same group of cars as his no 1 pick.
I.e, you have the XANAVI GT-R as 1st and the YELLOWHAT GT-R as 6th.. So if he did not get his 1st or 2nd choice, he ended up in a car that belongs in the same car category as his no 1 pick.

Group A:
Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R
Nissan CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R
Nissan YELLOWHAT GT-R
Nissan AUTECH MOTUL GT-R
Nissan STEALTH GT500 GT-R

But as I said, nothing will ever be perfect.

GV: Hughe tourqe is good on tracks with a lot of slow/mid speed corners.
Monaco and Nurburgring GP/F are def 2 good tracks for the CASTROL TOM'S SUPRA.

The low tire wear is always an advantage.. ;)

I'm trash with tyre wear though!! I'm not sure if I just kill the tyres, or my speed is just very bad with worn out tyres, because I can never last more than the other guys with their own cars. This was a problem too back when I was running the Integras, so it's nothing new, but... I really don't know how to fix it.

I guess in that sense it's good for me to have this car, because at least I can make my tyres last the same amount of laps as the others!

I guessed those two tracks would be the very best for my car... now I only have to hope I can tackle at least one of them while being in D1!

The tire wear and consistency on that car are awesome. Having spent time on the same track with that car in the spa preseason and a GTR in the season the supra was still reliable and quick enough for ~50% longer.
The heat races are just too short for it to really show up. The car will come into it's own when you can one-stop an enduro where NSXs are 3 stopping and GTRs are two stopping.
Was actually hard to not put the car at the top of my list, I usually avoid skylines but I was rather taken by the rage of the motul. That thing wants to eat people's babies. It's dangerous i tell you.

Tony, my best laps at Spa this week were with the Sc430. I know skill plays a factor, and I cant make the NSX reach its true potential, its easier tocrash. Thats something I personally considered in testing, if you timed all cars here at all tracks the nsx might come out quickest, but not my much I dont think. I felt we needed to give it this boost to level for the added difficulty. I picked the SC430 anyway because over hundreds of laps that total the season, I will be faster with the more reliable car, I think most of us would. Also on high speed tracks we can keep draft easier then nsxs can on tight tracks, which is also a factor. For what its worth. Tire wear is equal imo, but the nsx loses more if you screw up, the inherent over steer can be a big factor. Nurb this week should be podiumless for the nsx, if we drive our handling cars properly, I fully expect to dust them, no offense to the drivers skill. Ive been running good times so far, I just havent put one together yet, I dont feel disadvantagedimho

Unfortunately I won't be able to make this weekends race as I'll be away for my works Christmas Party and not back until Sunday night (Mountain Time).

Best of luck to everyone in Germany! đź‘Ť

Ha! The Nsxs are cancelling already! jk buddy :P

The other member of Team Stealth NSX will be in attendance. :)

I wanted the NSX to help teach me things about driving. Things I felt the GT-R wasn't teaching me. What I have learned is much better throttle and brake inputs. As well my awareness of wheel turning degrees is sharper.

So glad I am able to make this car work with out crashing every two laps. That was a big fear I had. For I always loved the car. Just couldn't get consistent. Also never committed any real time.

May not be flying fast. Sure am having fun and feel my skill level is improving. A lot is do to fast competition. Thanks to you guys. Appreciate being here.

Lol Dom, 'Running Scared' for sure ;)

Yeah, Go Jeff! I actually picked the NSX as a challenge to myself and hoping it will improve my driving as it can certainly catch you out very easily, as it has done in both of the opening rounds. :D

Anyone knocking down laps on GP/F???

Looking into running lap????

Let me know. I'm wanting to get my tune started.

Either post here or message me on PSN. same name as here.

Haven't been able to turn any laps yet Owens. :grumpy: Did turn a LOT of Viper ACR laps last night though, best car nobody is making a series with. So Im gonna make one sometime after all the current ones take a break. Stock/Spec/Tuned series, mixed. Groundbreaking ideas, hope people will like it.

Idea - What if every week we record the fastest lap/tune/pits/driver for each car? For statistical purposes and potential insight for specs. We have an awesome stream of data flowing through every week on these cars, would people be willing to help on sharing their tunes? The tunes arent fully needed, but could help for tire wear data. Also everyone posting their best unassisted time, meaning without draft or bumpdraft, and what fuel level was in the race if pb is set during race. Please? :)

Sounds good Dom.
Def agree that we should use all the information in some way. đź‘Ť

might not exactly be ground breaking
