most people here complain about handmade tracks. Everybody wants it lasersanned.
Now you ask for simple trackeditor?
Sorry mate, that will never happen.
Nah i think he is referring to the editable test track not a track editor that they announced with along everything else.

i don't think pcars2 / pcars franchise is the right game to ask for something like this. It's like livery editor. It's just not neccessary in the context of the game, it's just a gimmick that would just need too many resources that could be used otherwise. So better leave that to car collecting/showing off games like forza.

I accept the compromise for this generation of consoles, enabling other features by limiting players to preset liveries, but for next-gen consoles a livery editor really should be obligatory. As far as I'm concerned it wouldn't have to be more elaborate than what you get in Dirt 4, with some patterns you can colorize.

Something similar to Codemasters' whole system would be awesome and make the career mode more engaging and personal, if you could apply your own number, enter your name on the window, and sign contracts with sponsors that reward you in some way for having their brand on your car (it could be something other than currency).

That was one nice feature GT6 had for leagues. Adding the ability to have a number plate and of different designs too. Helped know who was who on track without needing the names above cars and/or driver list.

@IanBell @The_American Does Project cars 2 support Thrustmaster T500 on PS4 like Project cars 1, if no then I need to cancel my pre-order.
Thrustmaster, Logitech and Fanatec are our "partners" so i would be surprised if our support for the flagship T500 was dropped for PS4 (or even anything less than what it was for the first game). It's typically _more_ work for us to drop an input device as it requires someone to go into the code and turn-off a block of code.

Thats reassuring, hearing rumours of it not being supported anymore as Dirt 4 isn't supported on PS4, however found this on the offcial Thrustmaster website which confirms that T500rs will support PC2 on PS4!

So Fanatec wheels will work directly with pCARS 2 on PS4? I know that will make a lot of people happy if true.
I thought Sony decreed that only wheels from their (Sony's) official partners (Thrustmaster and Logitech?) would work on PS4? Isn't that why patches for pCARS on PS4 were halted last year, because it would have meant a mandatory dropping of the existing Fanatec support? I don't think Fanatec being a partner of SMS would make any difference there.

Fanatec and Sony are playing nice again. Fanatec just launched the PS version of the CSL Elite wheel.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the Fanatec wheels worked in game in pCARS1 already. Just not in the PS menus.

I know, I used one for years. The menus also worked fine.

There has been much gameplay out for the ps4 just check out the Team VVV YouTube vids and I believe Gamespot.
I may be wrong, and even though I'm always on the lookout, perhaps some things have slipped by me.
But I find it difficult to believe there is "much gameplay" out there at all.

To my knowledge there is one video showing console (PS4) footage.
That clip shows, from memory, brief excerpts from 3 tracks, with one piece of footage repeated several times.

I don't think I could even point someone in a direction where they could find out if the console versions are 720P@30fps or native 4k@60fps.
The last time I looked, the website doesn't have the courtesy to put an asterisk regarding *PC Only, so I'm not surprised some are confused with the details.

All WMD videos are PC because you can't get WIP PC2 on consoles, so only console gameplay will come from game events such as E3.

Hopefully there is a large enough team dedicated to QA testing for consoles. (Assuming WMD contributes to QA testing.)

Does anyone know the options available for race engineer interaction during race? Specifically, can I turn on race engineer voice without the subtitles?

Yep, sure.
I understand that.

And you're probably right that there was some console footage at E3.
But I'm not going to dig through those videos and try to work out what's console and what's PC.
And I don't think others should have to do so either.

SMS, of course, have the ability to release console footage at any time.
Something like that is what I think most people are wanting.

Someone has to make those videos. Everything we've seen in PCARS has been made by WMD users. I play on console and I don't really understand the need for console specific gameplay.

Same here. I'm sure it's an improvement over PC1. I don't see a problem with watching the PC videos.

Ah but that won't convince the conspiracy theorists that believe the console version is an 8 bit, single player only experience with no features whatsoever

I would imagine it would be the developers making those videos.
You know, the same ones that want to sell the game on consoles.
Do you feel that's asking too much?

I imagine it's improved as well.
And there's no problem with watching PC videos.

But I don't see the problem, nor a reason to argue against, seeing the product on the other platform.
Surely that's simply par for the course.

There's no argument from me against. If there are console videos to share, cool. I already know(as pointed out in the Q&A) the graphics won't be as hi-res as a PC.

Will the TM TS-PC be supported int he PC version.........
