But surely negative Nancy is all you will get until the game ceases to be a WIP and gets into peoples hands so that they can truly judge it for themselves, instead of trying to interpret a video?

I havent been following the offline championship info much lately so pardon if this was clarified already but wasn't it possible to set up a multiplayer championship only against AI drivers? Probably still requiring a multiplayer subscription (PSN+ or XBox Live) but that would be already sufficient for me.

That is for once I'm done with career though, I suppose my first months or even longer will be spend there.

It was never 100% confirmed but instead being looked in to.

Yes, it works! VR when you move your head, the image in the mirrors will move!

That's great to hear, many thanks. But almost as important: is the image in the mirror proper stereoscopic 3D (like a real mirror, and like in Live For Speed) or just a flat 2D image that pans when you move your head?

*finger crossed*

Any reason why the Trans Am Camaro is in the Road Cars section?

Just a suggestion, is it possible to place the Funhaver and 86 in a new class before launch or in an update? Like Class H or H & J?

A Solo Mode race with just Vintage Touring and Vintage Road cars would be epic. At the moment, it doesn't look possible.

I was thinking the same thing, a class with the Funhaver, vintage Mustang and Gt86 is quite odd to me. I personally would put the Gt86 and the Funhaver in standalone classes.

I think it's all a bit too late to make new classes.

I also find the lowest Road G car class a weird mixed bag. The GT86 belongs there IMO, the Funhaver is just such a weird car for this game it doesn't really belong anywhere, but Road G makes sense I guess. However Road G now just feels like a random bunch of cars with the heavy Funhaver, the lightweight GT86 and then 2 really old cars.

I hope for Project CARS 3 we will get more classic road cars and sport cars and they will end up in new classes like Vintage Road A, Vintage Road B, etc. Or maybe for this game if a couple more get added via DLC.

Would indeed be fun to do multiclass with Vintage Touring-GT and Vintage Road! Those classic road cars really should be separated.

Vintage Road A could be the powerful ones like the Jag TWR, Vintage Road B the 288 GTO, Vintage Road C for the Camaro, Vintage Road D for the Escort. And then start adding the remaining cars and some new ones.

Has anyone tried choosing "Identical" for one or more of the classes in Multi Class racing? That might be the way around it. If I choose the Road G Escort, make that class Identical and make the other three classes: Vintage GT A, Vintage GT B, Road G Identical 2002 turbos.

That could be a workaround yes but you'd have to drive the road car yourself then. :) Nevertheless worth to try out.

Of course for multiplayer you can just agree to not drive a certain car within a class so there you can probably make some interesting handpicked multi-class combinations as well.

You mean, 3D like allowing to see your own car in the mirror? Never noticed that. I don't think so, no. But TBH, don't forget that pC2 has a "tiny bit" more of information to render so compromises have to be made.

There's a reason to even have the "enhanced mirrors" option as it costs FPS (as everything).

GIven the opposition have (what appears) to be a pretty extensive livery editor, are there any plans for PC2 to add in later ? BAsed on what we have seen, it would be the final piece to the puzzle for console gamers

Of course everyone here is entitled to ask whatever questions they want but as a console player myself I couldn't give a ratsass about a livery editor. ;) If the devs have spare time and they are sitting on their rear ends doing nothing then.... more tracks, more cars and more racing gameplay features please! :)

SMS has done a stellar job with offering a lot more real liveries as in PCARS 1 and that is all I wanted from liveries really. With a "complete freedom" livery editor that would also mean the idiotic designs in multiplayer will appear and I am glad we are spared from that now.

One advantage I would see in it is being able to bring back the censored parts of liveries like all the advertising from alcohol and tobaco, so for example our "Racing" 962C could become a Rothmans 962C or the Silk Cut XJR-9 would have some lettering on the side again. I doubt it would be possible though but I would really love to see an official DLC for that (tagged 18+ of age) to fix those liveries. I'd even pay a DLC price for that!

PC users can change liveries. I think there's no livery editor due to the lack of power on the consoles. Ian or The American, mentioned it takes more power to generate custom liveries(offline if i remember correctly). Hence, the excellent work done by the SMS livery team(those Huracan liveries look awesome).

@IanBell

But anyway thanks for the answer, best of luck with PC2 but yeah I'll take a pass

@RZ05 - The career mode will be awesome, with loads of different championships in it, plus with all the extra bits that go along with it, why would you want to miss on a solid motorsport championship career if you're a motorsport fan, im guessing you are just being a kn@b like the guys over on RaceDepartment.

Its tiresome coming across posts like yours it really is, i have stopped reading RD because of it now too.

Yeah, that's the type of thing, the VR mirrors in LFS act just like real mirrors on a real car. Not only can you see your own car but the reflected image moves as you move your PoV, and the image is a proper 3D one, rendered in the same way as the view looking forward, as per this video:

Even if it's expensive to render it wold be a great OPTION for those with the hardware to do it. 2D mirrors can be a real immersion-breaker in VR.

I doubt I'd put much time into a livery editor myself as well being massively colour blind and not artistic at all, but I think it's a no brainer to start working on one for inclusion in PCARS3. Liveries are a big part of racing and you can't include them all in any game due to their sheer numbers. Although more work can be done, the core elements of a good racing game are mostly in place now so IMO it's time to start adding things like a livery editor, custom offline championships, enhanced photomodes etc.

There's licensing issues with liveries too. IIRC some manufacturers don't even allow their cars to "support" that feature.

Even the damn number of the car has to be the one that was on the car IRL.

There's a possibility that Formula 4 (Formula Gulf) will be releaseed as DLC? I really like this car it's 1 of funniest cars in PCars, i was disappointed when i didn't see it in the car list, i didn't understand why they removed this car.

I believe the Formula C became the new Formula Gulf in that it has 200HP instead of 300. At least it did when I watched a video showing all cars in the car select menu.

Formula Gulf is a lesser series than F4.

Progression would be more like: formula gulf -> F4 -> F3..

I didnt care for the gulf but would love to see a DLC for F4 :)
