Le mans 2017, the year without rain... every other year, it's there at some point.

Fuji, can be stopped due to monsoon's even.

Spa... rain at some point.

Anything UK, rain and everything in between :D

Nords.. do I even need to say something?

No rain? That's only for hardcore sims /sarcasm :P
Rain is fine but the amount of fog in game is unreal. A real life race series would never ever race with that much fog or the amount of water on track in a thunderstorm. I understand it's there because some people like to just have fun, just like snow. When it comes to actually racing though you can't really race each other in those conditions. The wet weather driving is supposed to be better so we'll see about the thunderstorm, but the fog is too much in pCars 1.

Valid too for rain @ozwheels

I don't think thunderstorm is for racing. Well, you can, just only at snail pace. There was that F1 race, the slowest in history IIRC though ;) And now they won't go above 2h :D (it's still 2h , right?)

Where did you see that much fog btw? I don't recall that and we are talking about pc2, right? I did try long ago though...

Need to try the fog again it seems but I can't ATM. Maybe there are levels of fog? And don't ask how I don't know this as it is kind of sad :(

The fog I'm talking about is in pCars 1. I have no idea how it looks in pCars 2. The heavy fog with rain or just heavy fog itself is what I'm saying is way too much to actually race in.

Who cares about pc1 after testing pc2? :D :P

BTW, do drivers see anything in the rain... the spray completely blinds the guy behind. Easy test in the winter btw and no need to have rain tyres either says I, driving motorcycle all year and more than a few trips under rain than i care to remember... in a foggy helmet :)

They still race. Even if it is not raining anymore it can take a while (depending on the weather) to get a drying line and those tyres still spay a lot of water then... no races are stopped because of this.

Point is, in pc1 heavy fog may be too much for racing but I only see a problem with this... We should get a red flag and there was none :D

But I also wish, still for other things too. None are game/deal breakers though. Just details. Like fog...

We (devs and gamers) know we're far from having at least ONE game that we can say it's perfect which is why we should support developers and why some keep adding to the genre we like the best (in my case anyway :) )

So lets keep the idea in mind. Who knows... maybe in pc3? :)

Is the T500 going to be supported in PCars 2?
I can't get an answer on the official forums.
It was for pcars 1. If you are concerned about PlayStation 4, could be a toss up. Pcars 1 t500 support was pretty bad.

@IanBell @The_American

Question: Well, more of a suggestion, but could be both. Was there any thought of putting an older layout of Bathurst in? I would think a layout with the FULL back straight would be crazy fun

And the tray-trucks driving around the top of the mountain to pick up crashed vehicles- while the race is still going.

Regarding the weather and date options:
Will we be able to re-create historic races with their conditions? Let's say we set the date to this year's 24h Nürburgring/Nordschleife and choose real weather - thinking of the heavy rain during the last minutes. Not to mention the 2016 race with hail and whatsoever, last year's Silverstone WEC race with snowfall :D

What was bad about T500 support in PC1? I use this wheel with PC1 on PS4. I have to use the hand controller for some things, but I haven't noticed bad support. Hopefully it will be fine in PC2.

I like the idea of more classic / old style track layouts by the way - especially Bathurst and Le Mans - plus Sebring pre-66 - a version with lots of old planes in the background!

I would say probably 60% of every time o would turn on pcars 1, the wheel would not work properly. And when you get to that loading screen before a race, the wheel would go full lock to the left or right, Id have to unplug it and plug back in, then the ffb would be off... I had tons of problems like that. Same with assetto on ps4. But with assetto, if I got it right at the start it would be fine until I turned the game/ps4 off.

Did you not have anything like that?

Edit: I'm not complaining lack of effort on SMS or kunos end, I am aware the wheel was never meant for ps4

There were a lot of problems like that with all wheels when the game came out. I have a T300RS and experienced everything you described. Now that I've returned to pCars 1 after more than a year away almost all of the big wheel bugs are gone except for the vibrating white line bug and the rotation degrees being extremely high on occasion. I don't think it was T500 issues per say, just wheel issues on console in general until they were patched.

that could be, but I played until the final patch came out and it was still really difficult to get it going. I also played about 3 months ago just to see how it felt, and it took me nearly 10 minutes just to get everything to work so I just gave up.

Is the official Car/Track list completely accurate? I've seen footage of a certain Classic Spa but I can't seem to find it in the list

The lists are innaccurate as certain cars/tracks that have been spotted in videos have not technically been announced such as Ferrari

The slots for the Ferraris and whatnot still have TBA in their places .. but some track variations are missing without the TBA logo on them while they have been shown .. sounds very weird indeed

Right, I think I know what you mean- the current tracklist only shows locations not variations, I think I saw some mention of a new tracklist being released sometime soon.
If you want to see an unofficial work in progress tracklist with all the variations try this: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?49905-Project-CARS-2-confirmed-track-list

No - my T500RS works fine. I did have a bug a few days ago where in a practise race with a Lotus 40 the FFB went to maximum, but later that day when I had my online race the FFB was back to normal. That's the only problem so far - I started using it with PC1 in November 2016. At first I sometimes messed up the game start procedure and ended up without FFB - but that hasn't happened since I learnt what to do.

did you update your wheels firmware? Need a Pc for that

I did an update before I started playing PC1 - I had been playing GT6 since release and hadn't done an update a long time.

I would be very, very surprised if the T500 doesn't work properly on PC2.

@IanBell @The_American

In acknowledging your studios desire for accuracy and realism, is it possible for you to add a car to 'project cars 2' that has yet to be released or extensively tested in the real world?

an indycar fan looking forward to next season.

@IanBell I assume you and your team are very occupied finishing PCARS2 for this generation of machines and I was simply wondering if PCARS3 plans are already being worked (licensing negociations for example) on for the next generation of consoles? Does one team stay for development of PCARS2 while others are ready to move on? I imagine it works the same as with PCARS -> PCARS2 or is it different?

Question is simply out of interest.

* probably won't get an answer but heck at least I can try :P

Great question!
Yeah I would be interested in what is happening as well.

Until a next-generation console is officially announced, I very much doubt you will hear official word from any developer that they are working with one :)

As for future plans, I imagine that a lot of the 'what next' will be very reliant on how pCARS2 fares. I will say this though, on that front, and people can hold me to account for it, in the unlikely event that it doesn't happen :-

"If Project CARS 2 sells less copies overall than Project CARS 1, in the same timeframe, I will buy a hat* and I will eat it, live on YouTube :)"

* OK, so it might be a nacho hat that I buy, but I will do so, you have my word.
