I'm far from the most active member of the staff in terms of forum moderation, but yes, I do swing the ban hammer from time to time.
Upon questionable bans are you consulted? Also, (offtopic) seen anything close to amazing as that Qvale?

Yes, I intentionally take a back seat when it comes to issuing most disciplinary actions, because I think it's important to be able to review those types of things as a third party. Moderators may not feel comfortable questioning or challenging my decisions, so I think it fosters a more open space for internal dialogue if I'm not personally invested in those types of debates.

And no, I think that Qvale is still holding on to the top spot!

Should have stopped the guy for an interview. Get the word to Kaz about inclusion in GT6. Alas....

That's something ........ I didn't expect.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that you're also a banner.

Frome the verb; to ban.

I have two questions, which either have obvisous *obvious* answers for them and I haven't discovered them yet, or may not be able to be answered.

1. Is it possible to tell who locked a thread, yours or otherwise, if they don't reply to the thread? For the particular thread I'm talking about, see this link: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtp-model-car-thread-read-op-before-posting.291292/.

2. What are some of the rather funny, ridiculous, etc. threads that have not-so-gracefully graced GTP? I viewed the "I should be ADMIN" thread that was alluded to a while age, and was wondering what other threads could be compared to this?

The 2.2 Camry thread when it still existed. RIP

I honestly think that that thread should be resurrected and put in some form of archive as it is of "historical significance".

I've only been a member since October this year, and clearly, I've missed something. If not the full thread being resurrected, then at least a summary.

A member, who shall remain nameless, went onto the automotive section of the forum, and, with frightfully bad spelling and grammar, smashed the AUP into very small pieces* by telling everybody about how they can out-accelerate expensive cars away from traffic lights in their 2.2 Camry.

*The AUP forbids discussion of illegal street racing (or the partaking of any other illegal activity), just in case you forgot.

Sounds like something I'd need to read myself. If I could still do so. :grumpy:

The previous forum software kept a log of things like that but this one doesn't.

Smash your face against the nearest wall. Same effect.

Thank you, TB.:)

Well, since you possess such great ideas.... :banghead:

I'm not sure what simile to put.
EDIT: Quite ironic how my nearest wall is a brick wall, like my situation matches that of the wallbang simile.

Well... not for everyone, no :D

However, it's a bit of a crotch-chafe digging through it if it's not recent - this month's staff log alone occupies over 2,500 articles.

With how fast these banhammers are wearing out, we need huge logs to make new ones.

For the first time in history of the internet, the actual banhammer is revealed.

This is a special version of the banhammer

This is the female version of the banhammer in case Jordan decides to make a girl a mod. Girls is not included.

Can mods see people's IP addresses? And if someone has two accounts with the same IP address what will happen to their accounts?
