In a poll, is there a way for mods to see what option(s) a member chose?

Example: Do you like bacon? Yes or no.

If I selected yes, would you be able to see it?
No, but we are able to change the poll numbers to bend to our devious will.

But that's nit honest, so we don't do that.
Are infractions "Warning Points"? Because I remember posting a GIF with an F-word, and I was told by Touring Mars that the post was deleted because of its bad language in the thread. Around four years ago, I remember posting a picture with F-bombs, but another user managed to remind me that it might not be AUP-friendly, so I edited that post to have a language warning and a link, instead of displaying the whole picture. But I still have 0 warning points.

Are infractions another thing, or...were the mods just being nice...
Previously, Warnings and Infractions were different things. With the new forum software, they're now called the same thing. See below for more.
There was warnings prior to GTP12 where you wouldn't get points. I had one. Now everything's infractions I presume.
The other way around. Now everything is Warnings, they either carry points (the old Infraction) with them or not (the old Warning).

Ah ok, I knew it was something like that.

Question to mods: what is it like to try to avoid playing "favourites" when one of your friends that aren't mods when other users are in trouble with the AUP?
and an add on question to the last question, do you show any leniency to premium members in regards to the AUP?

We've banned premium members in the past. It's not an immunity badge. While we are reluctant to ban members who have been here a long time, we do drop the hammer when it's decided enough is enough.

Some of us on the staff actually have infractions, ourselves, for misdemeanors committed before we became moderators. So no, everyone has to follow.

As TB says, they're all warnings, it's just that some carry no points.

I guess that the mods whom got infractions prior of becoming a mod, erased their infractions from their GTP record?

:D

Doubtful. As a mod mentioned before you can't erase your own infractions. Checks and balances.

So...I'm still waiting for my 'Super Awesome Dude' badge...

Did China Post catch it at customs or is it just that the current forum software can't cope with my awesomeness?

They're all buried in Famine's garden, along with the dead bodies.

Honestly, I don't know. Mine was just a warning, which probably got nuked in the software change, as we don't have a two-tier warning-infraction system, anymore.

I had two informal warnings prior to becoming staff, so no, they wouldn't be on my record. Back in the days of 50 PM's only, I deleted them to make room for Photomode competition PM's :(

Adding onto what Andrew said, if a banned member joined back shortly after being banned. Their attitude changed so much that you couldn't even tell it was them. You see they are a genuinely nice and respectful person. Then, late one night a very long time after their first account had been banned, you do some secret mod stuff and to your surprise, it's that same member. What would be the course of action? Leave them be or ban them on the spot?

Make him a mod!

If their attitude changed that significantly then we wouldn't do anything, unless the member in question is a repeat offender, in which case we wouldn't care to begin with.

What was the story of the first 11 Terroniums then?

Yes, I know I have a much higher number in my username

No, he's always been -12. He started at Aerronium-12, then returned as Berronium-12, etc...

Just ask Marc :sly:

On a serious note though.. most of us long term members are long term because we aren't ass-hats. So I think its more the fact we know where the line is rather than getting special treatment from the mods.

Couldn't have put it better myself...

...says a short term member. (3 and a bit years) ;)

Since when do reports get a notification of action? Is this new?

Also whoever did that, you're a jerk. You know who you are. Even if I don't.

In all the 3 years I still remember your post where you failed to identify your own country on a map. It's not that funny but I liked it.

Here are the posts in question @W3HS Only issue is your picture is gone.

When I move to Thailand can I have my name there instead of just a colour? I'm sure it'll only be me from there.

That's Myanmar.
Whooops.... Mrs Shem just said "No! That's Burma!" Let me fix that. :dunce:

Peter, you're right. It's the one that looks like an Elephant apparently.
