Comfort medium- Dunlop SP Sport 5000. All season performance radials for everyday use
Comfort softs-Advan A032R- high performance Radial for dry conditions
Sports medium- Advan A048- performance tyres for dry conditions. low tread pattern.
Sports soft- Bfgoodrich g-force R1. minimal legal tread pattern for maximum grip and traction.
Racing Hard, rain and intermediate-Goodyear Formula SAE
Racing softs-Hanook Ventus 2Z14 C71 compound. Soft compound for qualifying.

Did some testing myself with the HKS Evolution. This car holds a record at Tsukuba using ADVAN A048-R tyres which are described as being of medium or hard compound and being DOT approved.

This car comes with sports soft tyres and after many laps on these I conclude that they are not equal to the ADVANS used in real life. I'm a pretty quick racer but on those tyres I could not even get near 4 seconds of the lap record of 53.589secs.

So I changed to racing hards and found these to be much more akin to the grip that some of the best DOT approved road/track tyres. I researched the Tsukuba lap time set by this car and it just felt much less grippy and looser than the car appeared on the videos I watched. I will not deny that obviously NOB is a very fast driver otherwise he wouldn't be in the drivers' seat but these times seem impossible with the lack of downforce and/or lateral grip available.

EDIT: Just now I decided to do another tsukuba time trial, this time in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 which had me worried being on sports hard tyres. Best motoring lapped this car in 1:03.23 and my time was 1:00.846, which is quite strange.
