Reasons to buy gt6

So your reason to buy GT6 is because you could care less? What?
That's just about right. I really could care less means I do care. I like to buy things I care about, you know.

Yes but you don't say that, nobody talks in backwards positives or whatever that would be. If you want to say you're going to buy something you care about, you say that. Not that you could care less about it and that's why. It's bad English.

^Old school English, I often read/hear could care less from younger generation, mostly from US or non native english speaker/writer. I am not sure mostly of what they were trying to convey, didn't care or care a little ... confusing.

It's not "old school", it's just wrong. Here is an Englishman to explain why:

What slump was saying was even stranger. But this is way off topic so I'll leave it there.

I'm not buying it for the title on the cover, i just still like this serie even with his flaws, had a lot of fun on gt5.
After all, i'm not buying anymore stuff from other series that just ruined the original "concept" and don't give me what i liked about them anymore (ff it's the best example) gt still have what i like.
Also, games are really expansive these days so i need to have a lot of content on that disc, and a good longevity.

GT6 is aspiring to be first GT after 15 years I will not buy, there is lot of reasons why but point is if you can't justify purchase of GT6 maybe it's time to skip the game and wait for GT7 on PS4.

Why I'm buying GT6 basically:

- I had fun driving a Nissan Leaf in the demo; A NISSAN LEAF! I don't even like the leaf. If I can have fun in that, then I could imagine driving cars I like would be more fun.
- I want to see what new events are in the game.
- Trying out the new cars and tracks
- I want to look at what new customization features there are (if there is any).

Let me quote this.

This was the same for me, I had mad fun driving a nissan leaf, I only can imagine how other stock cars would handle.

Reasons to buy GT6 for me:

New features and... And... Oh who am I kidding it's Gran Turismo.

I would buy GT6 even if it only had a new a look.

Platinum trophy, should be equally hard as GT5, 24 hour race without saving it between race sessions, no special and reward cars swapping between players, no gifts. Should be good. 👍

I haven't been given any objective reasons to buy it yet.
An improved physics model with suspension and increased time/weather options are objective reasons. Though if you don't feel they are enough, then don't.

I'm not saying this is you, but really a GT title is something you either want to buy, or not. I think a certain amount of the negativity came from people who had heard of the series, so got GT5 to see what it was all about - it's clearly not an NFS or Forza game.

I've been with GT since the start but for me personally I need two things to make me want to buy this game, or at least buy it on day 1 for full price. A much improved, much bigger A-Spec mode and better AI. If those two key elements are the same/little improved over GT5 I won't be buying it day one.

I now expect people to tell me "ONLINE!! GET ONLINE!!! ONLINE IS WHERE IT'S AT! GET ONLINE! ONLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!" but as I've said before, I will always prefer offline gaming. It's my preference and something PD should still be working hard on for all the other people like me.

It's okay people preferring A-spec offline, but I don't understand it when people choose not to play online at all even if they have access to the internet. And saying because online lobbies are full of dirty drivers isn't a reason, because you can only fully enjoy online racing joining an organised racing league like those found in the racing series section of GTP or many other GT sites.

Why do you need us, to give you a reason to buy something?
You look at the game and if it has something to offer that you want, buy it. If not then don't. Its so easy.

MY reasons to buy this game (only feature we know about.)

-200 new cars (If you consider that they charge 99 cent for a single DLC car its almost a bargain)
-New tracks (same as above and you never can have enough tracks.)
-Fixed menu system. (One of my biggest gripes withs GT5 was the menu system.)
-Refined physics.
-More car add ons
-New soundtrack
-Audi Quattro S1 (Finally)
-New features for the track creator.
-I don't have to buy a new console.

Thats more than enough for me to warrant a buy. If we get more than that, its even better.

While I was still playing GT5, it was ridiculously hard for me to find the kind of race I wanted in the lobbies. One of my biggest hopes for GT6 is for the matchmaking from GT5P to be added for people who actually want to race. If GT6 has an online system identical to GT5, I simply do not see myself playing online much. I want to spend more time racing than waiting.

Are you saying GT6 shouldn't have these things?

Some people (like me), play to get away from other people and don't want to be forced in playing online. Up to this point GT was a single player experience and should stay focused that way. I have no problem with a multiplayer feature, that can be fun at times. But I prefer to play GT alone.

Exactly that. It's not just GT, it's any game. I'm an introvert gamer I guess, I prefer my gaming to be as it always has been, on my own with no outside interference. Getting into an "organised racing league" is just not my idea of relaxing fun.

Gt6 looks like a great game, but I already own gt5 and gt6 just looks like an upgraded version of gt5. What are some reasons to get gran turismo 6 that will justify the $60 price.
I think that the answer is a win/win bet. Most of people that hate the game and post in gtplanet will end buying GT6 soon or later for some unique features or to have a reason to bich about it, and usual GT players will buy it because a better and bigger GT5 is the only reason most of them will need.

All the retoric in behind is just to fill the gap until the final game will be out. Happens always with a new GT but finally very few people that discussed the game forget about it and choose not to buy.

That's cool. Some people find casual races "relaxing fun" and what's the point going through lobbies trying to find such races when everything you want can be guaranteed joining a club/league on a GT fansite? In addition there are obviously more serious racing leagues but there's just as many casual racing series/clubs which some people simply don't explore for what ever reason, whether they think all "racing series" consist of serious leagues or they just want to stick to looking through lobbies for a satisfying online racing experience.

It's not about casual or serious, it's just idea of being in a "league" with strangers. Not for me. I'm happier racing on my own, in my own time against AI. I don't buy any of the PC sims that are online racing only, I need AI and a single player branch.

You usually don't hear it, but it's definitely a possibility to express something. You can often say the same thing in a negative and a positive way. It usually is used to show a certain tendency, a basic attitude.
Don't confuse it: "Couldn't care less and could care less" is no example of this.

All I said is that I care about it to a certain degree, which in combination with the title leads to the assumption that I must care that much / care enough about it so that I'll buy it or at least have a great reason to do so.

Strange, because you're not used to it, but not wrong. Bad english because it's not that super simple or obvious? Weird definition.

Because i'm a fanboy(old one at that) of the series and will continue to buy it until i'm dead!

 to that.

I was thinking this the other day, maybe not paints & horns etc (should be in the wishlist too really 👍).

Really? Online not for you? Madness. I understand your point regarding offline mode being too shallow though and it does need adressing (GT4 was an A-Spec dream).
Online mode is the only interesting thing about GT5 now, I also have to say that you're missing out.
