I like VIR very much. Enjoyed it loads in Ferrari/Supercar challenge and I'm very to have it in FM6

Very hard track to get a good lap on. For me anyway :lol:

If you do pick up a wheel, you will like it even more. It is so nice driving on there with a wheel, though I have only taken a few Porsche's around thus far.

Best new track in Forza for such a long time, and far far better than rio. All I need in an FM game now, is for Fujimi to return.

I tried the full circuit for the first time, in the dark last night with the 918 in Anthology, I had to use rewind several times. The trickiest spot for me so far, is those two quick turns right after you go under the Nissan bridge. If you don't take turn one right, you go to fast into turn 2 wrong, and that tire wall is right up against the rumble strip. If you run off the road at all you smash into it. I bet I rewinded 5 times in a row trying not to hit that tire wall the first time I went through that section. It probably didn't help it was dark and I was in the 918 my first time around.

VIR is a tough track for me, lots of tricky corners, but I love it. Turn 10 (ha) was especially difficult when I first did the course. It's a blind left crest, and I went in way too fast, hit the grass sideways and flipped into the wall. I laughed a little since it was so unexpected. To be fair, on a map it looks like you can take it a little fast.

They've given us seven layouts, but I see an easy way to add an eighth layout. We've got Full (outside loop), Patriot (inside loop), Grand West (outside loop and inside loop connected on the left), Grand East (outside loop and inside loop connected on the right), North (top loop), South (bottom loop) and Patriot Alternate (bottom of south loop connected with top of inside loop). One more could be North Alternate which would be the top of the north loop connected to the bottom of the inside loop.

I think my favourite parts of VIR so far are South Bend and Spiral. Both feel excellent when you nail the braking point, which is taking some doing for me right now...

With the continued lack of Cadwell, this is a very enjoyable alternative for me. Haven't even tried it at night or in the wet yet though, which should be another learning experience.

I agree the Spiral and South Bend are fantastic corners, so much fun but so easy to get wrong, yet so rewarding when you get them right. Last night I tried racing VIR in both night and rain modes and it's just as much fun.

I genuinely dont think I've ever seen a more enjoyable Forza replay video. Not only is your driving contributing to such a spectacle, they really seem to have nailed proper camera angles with this track. The long shots of the linked corners are fantastic.

Mechberg posted that the update is the fix for the Daytona Prototype.

Can someone please try it out with a stage 3 weight reduction, and let me know if it crashes your game? Thanks. I would appreciate it!

Bit late to the V8 Vantage party since I got gifted one today even though I never beat the Community Bounty time. Will look to try it and the Porsches out at VIR this weekend.

Busy times ahead. :dopey:

I want to see someone beat the Porsche 911 Turbo Autocross event at VIR in the Showcases on unbeatable. 143 gates in 2:50. Maybe that's not hard, I'm not real good at those.

@SlipZtrEm yeah that was fantastic. I'm so enamoured with that Grand West ribbon and the replays. I just completed two very slow laps in the wet with a 3.0 swapped 930 and even at lower speed it was enjoyable to watch back.

I'm pinning hopes that they will come in some Unicorn Car Pack later.

If this is the case than I don't mind waiting.

Ideally, patch them in as regular cars for everyone to use once their exclusivity hopefully expires, not to mention that '66 Silvia. There's no need to give them additional spotlight, although I'm afraid Turn 10 sees things differently. I'd rather see efforts spent on car packs with fresh content.

Question about the super tropheo community bounty. So what time do we have to set? Do we just make a clean lap? And how do we know if we make bronze silver or gold liveries. I think I set 1:54 so far on monza but still behind my rival who has a 1:51 it 1:52 something. When I clicked on the event it only told me what my friends rival time to beat. So where does it tell us the target times for winning the different liveries?

You don't have to beat any time. Top 5% is gold, top 15% is silver and a clean lap is bronze.

So if we make a clean lap and get bronze every week for all seasons do we get the special bounty car hurucan Lambo? Cause not sure I'll get silver or gold liveries probably just the bronze livery.

If you get bronze for all of the first season, you'll get the Huracan. You'll need the Huracan to participate in season two.

My understanding is that in order to obtain the Huracan it's not as easy as people are making out. You still need to finish in the top 15% or whatever. Yesterday, I got a 2:04 round Monza 2nd attempt with the Super Trofeo and was something like 5880 in the rankings. Clean lap or not, I doubt you can be last on the leaderboard and still get the car, whether you completed a lap in 1:46 or 9:46. Not only that, I can't compete in Leagues because I don't have Gold so in other words, not only do you have to set a really quick lap time, you also need to pay for it.

This unicorn idea is ridiculous IMO. It means that if you're not an ace gamer, there's zero chance of obtaining these cars. Why not keep the Leagues and Rivals idea there and for those who finish in the top 5%, they can get gifted the cars free while the rest just pay so much via the Marketplace?

You only have to run 1 clean lap in each of the 3 rivals events during season one to get the Huracan.

A clean 57:46.882 (example of slow lap) on Monza, or whatever track is used for the other two rivals events, would be enough to get it.

Can somebody record VIR gameplay in the rain/night? I'm currently out of town so can't get on my xbox, but would like to see how it looks.

Not a video, but there's a wonderful mist on the home straight when it's raining. Makes the first corner a real commitment.
