There's actually one complaint in that thread I agree with; the fact that there's dlc cars without a division. I really hope in future, Turn 10 adds more division options to the series for free play mode at least. I would love to have a race between just Furys and Bel-Airs.

I really think that as Turn 10 updates FM6; they could make racing a bit more customizable for "free play" mode in general, I would love to be able to select what cars I race against in order to create my own races.

Yes that would be excellent. I think it will get better as they update it. There are a lot of "good" complaints there. It is good to have a place where Turn 10 can get feedback and people can voice their issues/concerns/wants. Complaining about the car packs though...I've bought all the car backs in Forza 3,4 and Fh..and these are the best I can remember. :)

I can understand where they're coming from. Very few people of this generation have any familiarity with Formula 1 from the 1960s 70s or 80s etc.

So they see the 1967 F1 cars and dont see why they would do this? The McLaren Mp4/4? Why? Who is Ayrton Senna?

You can see how they seem to want the "IT" cars of this year... the BMW i8? LOL?

I think Turn 10 are largely made up of middle aged to older American men. They're going to want the car they like that have an 'affinity' for, so to speak.

I have no love for the Plymouth Fury but I fully understand its significance to modern culture.

All I'm reading right here is "They're millennials and will complain about historically-significant cars simply to complain".

My joke above aside, there is literally no way someone can not know who Ayrton Senna is if they're a modern day watcher of F1. He's been mentioned at least 5 or 6 times this year alone, roughly 20+ when the documentary launched back in 2010, and at least once every year by association of Lewis Hamilton.

Even if that were true, which I wouldn't necessarily doubt, how is this any different to what any other heavy-hitting racing game does? Newer isn't better in a matter of shapes and sizes. Now you could make the 'dream car' argument and you'd have an incredibly valid point on your hands, but for some of these seemingly ignorant people to lambaste some of the utterly fantastic cars that have made their way into these packs because "LOL, where's mah Silvia y0!" or "there are too many race cars in this game" is just.... well, ignorant.

And seriously, what kind of argument is too many racing cars in the first place?

You make one mistake among many.... you seem to think the venn diagram for F1 fans intersects with Forza fans.

Senna died 20 yrs ago... you would need to be be at least 30yrs old or something like that to have even watched him race when he was alive. I dont expect kids to know who he was...

Agree. I wanted to do a Mini '65 race but, there is no category to race them alone.

Well, looking at kids these days, we can't really expect that, no. I, for one, still know who Roland Ratzenberger was.

I remember saying if whomever is complaining about the MP4/4 making it in over something else having no chance of not knowing who Ayrton Senna was by proxy of Lewis Hamilton.

Yeah, definitely said if.

That's an over-exaggeration, you don't have to be at least 30 to have seen Senna race. Let's move away from this though because where exactly does the problem lie in learning to appreciate cars that are older than yourself.

I've never seen Jim Clark race yet I appreciate the hell out of the Lotus 49. Alternatively, I've never seen the 787B perform in its heyday and yet, again, I appreciate the hell out of it knowing it's the only Japanese race car (with a rotary to boot) to have ever won the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Do you have a point? Absolutely because there are some that simply aren't interested in cars older than 2001 or so, and it's a shame really. I can't wait to see what complaints are thrown around when Porsche's land.

Back in the early 80s. I'd go through Car&Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track magazines looking at horsepower figures. Late 80s early 90s I opened those magazines and pointed straight to top speed figures. All the while, appreciating the Hot Rod, Super Street, Super Chevy, Mustang Monthly, etc magazines. The only magazine I do buy today is, retro cars magazine.

Reliving those gems of cars I owned and some I passed up. It's awesome to drive some of those in the game. The MkI Scirocco to the Lotus Carlton.

Someone mentioned what would those same players... Er, critics say about Gran Turismo's car list. Doesn't matter to me. I like what I like.

Well, I got out of work over an hour ago and today is the day that the Petersen Automotive Museum is re-opened with that Forza exhibit included. I'm going to search it up.

EDIT: I don't see anything new, oh well; I'll move on.

There'll be at least one saying how useless the extension is, because it introduces all these stupid models nobody really wants, and doesn't even include the Yellowbird. No? lol

As for older cars, at least 90% of my racing last month was done in pre-80s cars. Personally, I get the most enjoyment from classic race cars. 70s F1 races I've particularly taken a liking to. Not sure as to why exactly, but maybe I'm just old.

Well, I have no complaints about the IMSAs Turn 10 has been adding to the car roster. Seriously, they should keep that up.
Yeah, it's awesome! It'd be really cool if they could add some more cars from the Weather Tech Sports Car series, like the Daytona Prototypes and the new Ford GT race car.

Turn 10 should keep doing what their are doing car-wise, but we can't deny that the RX-7 (FC) and Silvia (S14) are striking omissions in FM6's comprehensive attention to JDM sports cars. It's understandable where these requests are coming from, drifters or not. However, it's cool that Turn 10 prioritizes the IMSA RX-7 (FC) and first generation Silvia though. After all, such choices suggest that anything is possible, and that's arguably more exciting - as long as anything doesn't involve more limousines.

Indeed. Truly unique cars left out by games pretty much every single time. Honestly, sort of surprised Gran Turismo hasn't featured them more often as Japanese racecars.
