I can't understand why anyone who heard about the Silvia didn't grab it straight away. And I wouldn't mind betting that the Ferrari league prize is an early access deal

BTW i think everyone should have a chance to drive the car that is even available on FM5, not just those who had great skills, no matter if its priced high on credits. Hence the impending elitism esp. on online.

At least every player gets a chance at this with the game they already own. You have to buy a whole different game to get the Fallout rocket car.

Someone on the FailRace forums that I race with owns 30 '66 Silvias. I should've gotten more of them, because it's a hoot to drive.

About the return of unicorns: Brian said repeatedly last night that while that's how the availability of the 312 P is this month, it won't be that way next month. What exactly that means, we don't know. But to assume this will be the only possible way to get it is just that: an assumption.

Mark my words: the Auction House won't return in the near future. It made it far too easy to cheat the system. Same with a gifting feature (look at GT5). I mean, I'd like both back, but can't see it happening.

If anything, I'd prefer gifting back first, just to send out prizes for series (or GTP contests), or to friends starting out. Credits are easy enough to come by in the game that the auction house doesn't need to exist, IMO.

As soon as I found the '66 Silvia, I bought it. I didn't know how long it would last, so didn't want to take a chance.

Oh yeah, look what I found:

Hopefully it means it will be purchasable. I wouldn't be surprised if they have another event ready though.

I really don't get how the grid is ordered in leagues, I thought it used to be people with clean laps start first (fastest to slowest) then dirty laps (fastest to slowest) but 2 races last night I was the only one with a clean lap and had the fastest lap overall, yet when we were on the grid the next race I was 4th.

One thing I love in pinnacle and I hope it's the same in other divisions is that if anyone is cutting corners pretty much half the lobby will go out of their way to take them out, and then usually the corner cutter will either leave or change their ways. It creates quite a nice experience when you don't have to worry about someone gaining several seconds per lap because they don't stick to the track.

Well, thanks to @prousonhairy's help, I'm doing much better in the Can-Am League now. No longer bringing up the back, so to speak. Feels good to rack up those points and get me one step closer to obtaining that Ferrari...

I ran four more Can-Am races today, using a different car in each. They're all fun and competitive, but I can see why people prefer the McLaren and the Nissan. They are very well balanced right out of the box. And now I'm up to 12%.

That was in FM5 too. FM5 also had categories such 1980s Grand Prix, and even Racing Trucks, both of which had no cars. I think that just use it was back up for if they intend on adding such cars into the game.

Is it me or there's only THREE GODDAMN SERVERS on this league???

Like i always join the same three races and i always have to wait...

This league is ****ing rage inducing including the kids who can't freaking drive without hitting anyone.

I did 3 to 4 races tonight and I managed to get in the top 67%. That's enough for now, I'll continue tomorrow as I'm going to continue my run in Gran Turismo 4.

First and last time I'll be playing in leagues, I don't even feel like I'm playing with people with my same driving level...plus these cars are just "eh" I don't even remember having this much issues in that showcase event using them, but then again I wasn't racing (leaderboard?) players.

The reward for being in the top 50% seemed all dandy at first, but now I think it's not even worth it IMO, as I won't even be using the vehicle. But to anyone else going for it have fun grinding!

Huh, the game says that I'm in the profession league. I don't feel like a professional, I've seen how I drive; I'm definitely not a professional.

And now i just find out that i can't invite my friend to a division so we can play together.

Way to go Turn10...

They had to do it that way. First of all, it would be a major disadvantage to others if a huge group of friends decided to enter the same league lobby. They could take turns blocking for each other etc to ensure that they each got high finishes. Even if they were clean racers it would still be unfair.

Second is, could you imagine if one of those times where you see that one guy wrecking people on purpose, he had 4-5 other friends just like him in the same league lobby? :banghead:
